Can his powers be enhanced to give them DPS life?

    Between Quantum and Atomik, the latter are seen as very weak in power DPS, as are probably Celeste and Eau, from what I've often heard. So, to bring them up to date a bit, could they benefit from a decent upgrade to get back into the dps might race with a bit more dignity?

    Another complaint from someone about Atomic DPS? I wonder if something might be wrong with it. Perhaps a bug? I don't remember many complaints about it before recently, you are the third or fourth person now. Perhaps it should be looked into.

    I don't know what it looks like on the US server, but these are powers that you'll never see in endgame and especially in elite endgame for DPS, which is why I think it's really time to give some love back to these powers. After all, they're powers you have to buy, so I'm not saying they have to be stronger than a free power, but they should at least be in the running!

    From what you heard of is extremely vague. What exactly makes atomic weak as opposed to quantum? Celestial and earth are also good. From what perspective are you suggesting that it’s weak? A lot of questions that need to be answered first before this discussion can continue.

    A lot of you switch to a powerset with little to no experience using that powerset. When it doesn't work out the way you want it to you then blame the powerset for being broken/weak. It's not the powerset, it's your lack of experience using it.

    Nah bc some powers would do 1 faster and therefore have a advantage. We must make every attack do 1 million damage with the exact same animation.

    Or or or… hear me out. This may sound crazy… but… how about instead of blaming the power you take accountability and just learn how to play the power set?

    This is exactly what I mean when I say “just because a lot of players say something doesn’t make it true”… there is absolutely nothing wrong with atomic. One of my toons is atomic. The issue comes from bad players thinking they are better than they are and assume that it can’t possibly be them. So it MUST be the power…

    experience for a power where there's just 1 2 3 to do and a little clipping? it's not like it's light gameplay either, lol.

    That's what I constantly hear people say about their powers, when a player asks for advice on their powers when they want to make a power change "don't play them for dps, because they suck at it, just play them for their secondary role", I hear that everywhere, there isn't a single league that hasn't had that kind of talk about their powers, and frankly, do you ever see their powers in competition in elite/elite+ raids with the big dps kikoo? nah, never, so it's good that powers are sulked for their lack of damage, not for some bogus story about power experience ;)

    Or players can admit that aren’t as good as they think they are and realize that just because they can’t use power doesn’t mean others can’t.

    Can't speak to the other 3 bc I don't play them, but Atomic is in a pretty good place dps side. Only "complaints" I'd have is it's a little on the power hungry side and it doesn't have a top tier SC.

    The only change I’d make on atomic is to make the aura last 2x as long. Doesn’t increase damage but is more on if a mechanics makes it so you have to stop attacking you won’t lose aura. At least increase to 18s. But again, not a change ti the damage itself.

    All powers have the potential to do good damage in the right hands, some still perform more than others. On the other hand, some are under performing as well. Atomic is a power that is under. Of course, no artifacts for comparison, we are talking strictly what the power set is capable of doing in comparison to other ones.

    A lot of the problems with Atomic is that it's still has some legacy AM built into it. It was developed during AM era and when the stats revamp happened, they just removed the big hit changed a few cooldowns and numbers and said it was done. Where, something like Gadgets, got a good treatment and support and testing. This was to be expected. The stats revamp was going long, because players were giving preference to specific powers and less feedback to others, plus, Atomic was one of the last to hit test. Because Atomic has some of the AM in it, it makes it hard to do different builds. Not impossible, but definitely a detriment.

    I do wish they would go through and look at some of these powers that didn't get a lot of love. Power creep was something we all said was going to happen during the stats revamp, where all the sets were very close to each other. Now, 5 years later, the gap definitely is apparant.

    With that said, you can work with a few builds and do some good numbers. It requires you to use some of the meta artifacts or go precision. It is what it is.

    Tank side is pretty good, though. (Though, not my cup of tea.)

    But you can’t look at a power in an artifact vacuum because they do exist. For better or worse artifacts will change how powers perform. So players need to learn to utilize arts with their powers and see what works best.

    Heck there are even builds that are designed for players who aren’t the best but still want to contribute.

    You also can't ignore the fact that players vary in age/experience to this game. A new player, that came in during the anniversary event as an example, would only have one artifact at level 80. Did they pick the right one? Is it good as a general sense? Was it actually more of a detriment, than a bonus? (Trans is only good if you get to 120+. Lernaea's Amulet will kill you, if you don't understand finishers well. Etc.)

    So having them start pretty balanced, does make for a better experience as you get better artifacts. I'm not a fan of the idea of using artifacts as the great balancer, because, most of the time, they bring up a few, but cause the best to just be better. Edit, they also cause similar builds that leads to lack of uniqueness, but that's a personal feeling.

    Except that if they balance how they work without arts and arts change how some powers work then it would in turn make them more unbalanced with arts. If someone is knew and does not yet know what would be best they can always hold off on leveling arts or literally just get them to 80 or 120 which is a small amount. Then save the rest.

    That would be nice. My biggest change would come on the tank side. Change Atom Splitter back to the way it behaved pre revamp.

    A good dps can be good with any power once they learn how to use it.

    Well, you and I both know, arts are required now. The devs on the other hand have said that they are not used in a factor of balancing content. So... Yeah.
