Can Fire Tanks actually get a viable mechanic?

LIKE I SAID i'm not FORCING you to read. YOU either will or YOU won't , I really don't CARE.

BOTTOM LINE: Everyone seems to do their OWN thing YET when I DO , I GET the COMMUNITY MORE WORRIED about HOW or WHY i do what i do. Either read what i have to say or don't it doesn't matter to ME. What I DO ENJOY is watching ALL of THOSE people get OUT OF WHACK over someone doing things a LITTLE DIFFERENT then the AVERAGE GUY.

P.S. For a GUY who doesn't KNOW HOW to put up pics and stuff in these at LEAST my POSTS still STICK OUT.

A good Fire Tank is able to juggle enemies so that he/she doesn't have to block as often. I personally know a few Fire Tanks that can keep things juggled long enough for the DPS to burn without any risk of harm to the group. Fire's self heals are great, I know this because I play a Healer and rarely worry about his/her health like I do with Ice or Earth. Fire also gains damage mitigation based on its self heals.

Dominance also affects healing, so it's a good idea to put points in that. Fire Tanks rely heavily on SP to be incredibly effective, unlike Ice or Rage. If you are a Fire Tank and have 2 Trolls in your raids, you will be able to have a lot more fun because you can block less and be more active.

Healing recieved vs any other tank is amazing and our dom boost our health 2.2 per dom. Sounds fantastic to me. Fire is a brick wall if ur healers not sitting on 45 skill points or started 6 weeks ago.

Only change to fire id love to see so we can be an aggressive tank is eternal flame reduced again to % 25. At times it could be op but by then lets face it we are already op. When contents new and u wipe alot a % 50 super charge is kinda not going to be rebuilt over and over.

Fire however has its own style is fine and needs nothing at all. If u ru.n one healer blame the group who cuts ur strength in half. Been a year one fire tank and not a things stopped me yet minus bad healers which is a huge part of who a fire tank is. U got four options if it dont suit u.

Eternal flame as % 25er would change us to battle mode and despi r e not needing it id love it

A good mechanic is hard to find, pretty much if I can't fix it myself I just sell the car.

Whats ur resto up to? Dom gives 2.2 health per point and we recieve % 60 increase to healing so honestly buff ur health toss bd an sf in and healer do what u do.

The benefits I get from bouncing ads around to keep damage off me is plenty good. I fyi fire tanked from year one to current never having an issue. It seems u and I show fire has different ways to get the job done. My resto is close to 6,070 and after a buff my health is 50k plus. 143 cr. With burnout and 2 heals I should never die. Worked for 4 years so far and got some of the earliest wins in new content since t4.

Sadly I could care less about numbers like healing recieved. I dont die and adds get pulled jobs done anything else is trivial. Curious what heals ur seeing though

Ice doesn't have a mechanic either except shield and block. And don't say ice armor. That doesn't benefit tank role cause you'll have the 90% def buff with or without it regardless.

Hey you do you...people gonna hate because you are not in line with everyone else. Some have their lettering in different colors, others like me do not care about the grammar I type with since there is no other really serious to talk about other than with in this game. So let them take minor things seriously, and pay them no mind.

Ah I was just curious cuz I've seen u for months type it. Ty for answering :)

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a fire tank. If you claim to be doing everything right and still fail, your next step is to check the healer.
You can move a lot with fire if you know when to.

P.s. Immolation will grant you the immolation PI as well as inferno.

Dominance doesn't affect your healing out; you gain 2.2 health per point of Dom. Also, the self-heals do not mitigate damage at all, blocking is the only way to do that. As it stands currently, you get more benefit from Health in SP and Mods than Dom.
As for being active(not blocking), alerts for sure, but you have to block in raids.

I'm not sure how everyone else is doing it, but pulling everything to one spot, block, and wait for the burn works best for me.

Every time i read a protecter of tomorrow post, in my mind, he sounds like Chandler Bing.

    Yes it does.

Emmm so increased healing and the health buff is nothing...

    Ice - increased def ( + shields )
    Earth - increased def ( + dmg reduction )
    Rage - increased hp ( + rage mechanic )
Fire - increased hp + healing in ( + healing from powers )
Atomic - increased def ( + healing from powers )

The only thing that fire is missing is an AoE long range pull. Thats all. ( and even that is not very important )

Fire Tanks have a mechanic...the OP listed the powers for the Mechanics. Fire Heal themselves, thats their Mechanic. Ive ran a Fire tank before Rage and Ive ran many times with a Fire Tank. They are still top notch. Just like Rage or other powers, the skill is in the player.

Seriously? How much more resto is there in mods? Considering dom doubles up in tank role, adds 2.2 health per point of dom, and milking the health bar for all its worth is a fire tanks main source of survivability and dom is also equal on a point per point basis to resto then we are talking an absolutely minimal gains at best, if at all considering the losses.

I haven't done the maths (others have just cant be bothered to go find the threads) between speccing full health vs health dom vs health resto but im positive that specing any one over any other wont make or break any fire tank in any way, shape or form, not even in the slightest.

That's me in front of the Ice Berg lounge in Gotham back when you could still sneak into the bottles.
I took a bunch of pics inside, that's as much of the sign I could get in the shot. The wall of the force field is really close there.;)
