Campaign end now December

On top of that, Players that hold strong opinions aren't generally amenable to changing those opinions. If one of my friends in the game is ranting about some aspect they don't like, and I really can't be bothered to get into it with them, I'll generally just say "Oh yeah, that's bad.". It doesn't mean I hold that opinion, but they would be forgiven for thinking I genuinely agree with them, and now I'll no doubt be included in their "All my mates agree" somewhere down the line...

100%, a lot of people would avoid conflict discussions with friends where disagreements exist simply because they don't want to have an argument with a friend, often being not worth it, a pertinent video comes to mind.

I know many people for whom this change is annoying, they had calculated that he would be able to do it when this event was scheduled for November, but they will not be able to finish it by December and apparently, it’s the traffic "too much" by daybreak, because they are fed up and claim to want to stop this game which has no respect for its players, thank you daybreak for making even more players do it because of your infamous practices, the game really needs that on dying servers...

The most distressing part of all this is to do it quietly without any explanation, when I hear friends say that this company has no respect for its community, I feel obliged to completely agree with them...

Putting this event in a period where there won’t be many players on the game anymore, it’s pathetic!

I'd have to go back and look, but I don't think they've started and ended 2 30 day (20 day progress bar) events at the same time. Overlap, sure, but not normally parallel. Also, aftershock isn't really a separate event, as it's the current DLC. Most people are still running the things that will forward the progress bar there regardless of the event. So patrol and Aftershock, even at the same start/end times, isn't the same as Patrol and Xmas which are both ON TOP of normal DLC related work.

Also, there's the whole month of December being an 'off' month for many. Travel, holiday get togethers or other obligations will limit play time for many, and Patrol 4 caps off the largest event we've ever had with the 2025 campaign.

BTW...let's say you are right...and it's 2 in Nov or 2 in Dec either way. So why move it? It could have just stayed in Nov with whatever is coming but unannounced (Outsiders?), or THAT event could have doubled up with Xmas in Dec and 'aftershock' could have been in Nov. In all these cases, why would a move of an existing event need to happen, when the other events were not even announced yet? Granted the reason is 'cause we said so'...just like when you were a kid and your mom and dad said it when they had no reason.

Of course there COULD be another reason. It's a button that says 'buyout' that some may need to look at come Dec 31 or so.

Wait - so they have done it quietly, without explanation, but they have also explained that there's too much traffic and they want to go home?

    Schroedinger's Devs?

Oh, and the game is dying too - I don't know if that's dying again or still dying from all the other times it was "dying", but it's always best to claim that, whenever you're complaining about something, just as a bonus, and so you definitely get taken seriously.

Despite the postponement, the final patrol is coming up soon, and I'm starting to have doubts. That's why I'd like to hear some opinions.

When it was announced at the beginning of the year, and until now, I was clear on my choice: I'm a premium player (I pay for Legendary 3-4 months a year and nothing else), my main has 6x200 art (4 tank + Omega + Trans), while my alts are practically empty; I have 3 with 3x120 and another 3 with 3x80. The option I've been considering is doing the Trans Wolfpack.

But now that the time is approaching, I'm thinking, although it's unlikely I'll buy a Wolfpack, that possibility exists, but the comic material might not be available again...

I also have another question: if they do another campaign with a different Wolfpack next year... I'm currently leveling Scrap+EOG (160), maybe that Wolfpack combination would be better?

Does anyone else have doubts, or am I the only idiot? XD What are you guys going to do?

Whilst no one can predict the future, the best reward is probably the shaded comic material based on availability.

If the shaded comic comes to the IMP mart then perhaps it might negate it's value.

Ask yourself what you're going to get the most use out of and bear in mind wolf tokens, despite being tempting aren't going anywhere and are always available albeit slightly expensive.

If you don't have a shaded comic then I think there's no shame in choosing that item.

I probably also wouldn't wolf the trans, despite the fact it's a heavily utilized artifact the power creep from this year alone makes me wonder how long that artifact is going to last in meta builds.

Yeah, apparently a choice poorly assumed by this studio, well it’s not the first time they did that. It’s just deplorable to remain silent without giving any explanation, but well this studio was never close to its community...

I imagine that a big one up there, it is said that people will get the rewards from this event too easily, so we need to catch some pigeons, those who will be absent from the game during the end-of-year celebrations, otherwise the cash income for December won’t be satisfactory...

Sadly it has pretty much been the pattern for some time now.

Whenever they would make some unpopular decisions...
they would just go into hiding as opposed to dealing with the backlash.

One of the reasons I left the Creator League is because the Devs would make unpopular decisions..... go into hiding..... and I would be the one who had to deal with the backlash even if I had nothing to do with the decision.
Heck it was even more frustrating when I did Not agree with the decision.... but still had to deal with the backlash.

    Sadly..... at this point...
we pretty much have to accept that we will get very little communication from the Devs.

Although we have been getting more update notes recently...... so maybe there is a sliver of Hope??
I guess we will have to wait and see. ;)

Oh and.... The Game is Dying....... of course. :) ;)

A community manager that doesn't even read the patch notes she posts? Yikes, do any of these developers actually play their own game? Seems like a really bad indicator if the answer is no.
  16. Reinheld Devil's Advocate

Meh...I've got enough communication with various social medias, text, calls, Teams and email. My leash is already short enough, I'm good. I've tried Discord...it was a little too all over the place for me with the messaging side.

I've used it for voice chat on a few PC games with private groups. That's probably the extent I'll use it for going forward.
  17. Reinheld Devil's Advocate

Yeah...cause that's what people are questioning...that it WAS moved. I mean, you'd think we already knew it was moved when the title of the post is 'Campaign end now in December'. I'd say the 'outrage'(if you can call it that) was around why they'd move it when it only really serves 1 purpose, and that purpose is NOT a benefit to the players at all.
  18. Reinheld Devil's Advocate

Personally I'm going for the wolfpack. It's the only item in the list you cannot get 'in game'. Having the comic material on all toons would be nice, but so would having a 200 arti, especially one like EOG, scrap or Strat/Trans as they can be used by all roles. Even if there IS a better meta...you said your alts have practically none currently so a 200 on an A tier arti is a great improvement. The comic has drastically dropped in price since the announcement, and as it's been released in the 'premium' bundle before, there is no reason to believe it won't make a return in the future, to 'imp mart' or another Booster rehash bundle.

I look at it this way...would I pay $100 for the comic material? Even if I would pay $100, are there 'other' means of getting it in game for cheaper (or free). I've never bought a wolfpack, and likely won't ever buy one, so unless it's added in game(like Dr Fate), or is another event reward, this will be my only chance to grab one up without spending IRL money.

Now...what I will use it on? That's a good question. Haven't made my mind up on that yet, but am leaning Omega. Honestly if it weren't for the few bugs/glitches it has still, I'd do that for sure....just not sure if having to go 'ugh' on every toon I log in on, or every time it freezes the animation, isn't too high a price to pay.;)

Try not take everything as word for word
I bet you are the kind to write HBO to tell them that not Everybody Loves Raymond because you do not like him XD

This is why the word ''literally'' exists, so you can use everybody/everyone etc. vaguely. But if you add literally, then it means you try to be specific.
  20. Great Architect Loyal Player

I meant the outrage that certain people have that it was changed "without any notification" - which you know very well, because that is the context of the post I was replying to.

And you have no idea - and nor does anyone else, until there's an official announcement - why it was moved. But you seem to have fully committed to the "Devs bad greedy squeeze money" bandwagon, so of course everything is going to be crowbarred into that worldview now.
