Sorry, but the first time I saw it was painful enough.

Upside: It has new content not in the theaters. It's rated R.
Downside: It has all the content from the theatrical release.

    I concur, once was enough,
Do all the editing ya want for the DVD ,
Can't change what has been seen

Additional downside: Rated R and no nude Amy Adams nude scene.

When she and Supes have sexy time, does Lois wear lead-lined lingerie?

Do I really want to see Superman being nerfed. Seriously I think DC like nerfing thing in video games and in comics

Yes. Those extra 12 seconds change the whole tone of the movie.

I give them credit for trying, but I'm still not feeling it. If anything it just sounds like they're trying even harder to be "meaningful" than with the theatrical release, but it's just coming across as being REALLY pretentious now.

The test screening that had positive buzz, was the 3hr cut. Some greedy idiots thought cutting 30mins for an extra showtime would be a good idea.

Obviously. Deadpool was rated R and was a big hit. Naturally, the studio heads think the R-rating is why it was so popular. That's why Wolverine 3 will be rated R, and why this version of BvS is rated R. And, trust me, there will be more R-rated superhero movies if Wolverine 3 is a hit. The problem is a movie is a story, and a story is a sum of all parts. If one or two parts are lacking, it can still be great, if the other parts make up for it. But far too often, we see movies focusing entirely on one or two parts. Usuaully the CGI, and now the R-rating.

With all the sexy time talk above in this thread, I misread this as "Doomsday got naked, poor guy." Once seen, can't be unseen... :D

Good that it still gets released. While Snyder did several things I dislike I did like the overall movie very much & look forward to the extended version.

You probably meant it cynical but 12 seconds more or less could indeed completely change the tone & impact of a scene and depending on how critical the scene could have its impact an a movie. Considering that 30+ min (which I constantly hear is the amount of additional content) consists of a big pile of 12 seconds I guess it will be a very different and most likely much stronger version of the movie. I mean there are TV show episodes that are less than 30 minutes and those have a complete story arc.

Sorry, but I think you are only fooling yourself. There are so many fundamental flaws in the movie, that adding another 30 minutes in random scenes isn't going to change anything. It will still be a pile of crap. Now there's just a big more of it. Besides, I've already seen one of the new scenes (it involves Lex talking to... someone), and instead of clearing things up, it just makes it more confusing. Lex is still going to be an idiot in the movie. Batman is still not going to show up. Superman is still not going to bother save his own mom (seriously, the hell was that about?). Wonder Woman and Doomsday are still going to be pointless additions to the movie. In fact, if they made a reduced version without WW and Doomsday, it would probably improve the already too long anyway movie.
