Why do you have 2 m.2 sticks? Your mobo only supports one unless you get a pci card that holds one.

And lmao what's with all of the fans?? There's plenty of cases that have a lot of fans in them!

AND BRUH, YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE AN OPERATING SYSTEM!

    Windows 10 Home
    G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000)
    GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
    AMD RYZEN 5 1600 6-Core 3.2 GHz (3.6 GHz Turbo)
CORSAIR RMx Series RM750X 750W 80 PLUS GOLD
    ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING
DIYPC D480-BK-Window Black Dual USB 3.0 ATX Mid Tower
    ...and a couple of SSD's.

Mine cost me a little more than $1100, but that's because I didn't buy a new monitor. When I need to, i'll up the cpu to a Ryzen 7.

My motherboard supports two m.2's of which will be raid 0.

You also missed the two radiators. 3x120mm and 3x140mm radiators. These radiators needs fans.

Why do I need a license for windows 10 when I can transfer my license from my retired PC?

Like I said. This system is not build for DCUO. It's built for ultra settings on a 27" 1440p 165+ hz refresh.

Lastly this is also an rgb build.
  4. Swiftduck Loyal Player

His mobo definitely supports two m.2 drives. As do most boards that are worth a damn. As far as his operating system, are you really pointing out some stupid detail like that? An OS is a give in. You think he was just gonna put the computer together and look at it? You can't be that dense.

Then you go on to list your sub par build using asus's lower end strix and a 1050 ti? lol.
More fans = cooler system. You can never have too many fans. That was a dumb comment.

Before you come off as a condescending computer builder make sure you don't make yourself look foolish.

Looking at High Trollers build, I'd say it's a beast.

I know it's a beast, but i was clearly joking around. Not everyone on here takes thing seriously.

For some reason, I felt you were sizing me up with your budget build with your bolds, CAPS, and underlines.......
  7. High Troller Loyal Player

The parts are trickling in, but the case is on preorder with a 1/15/18 release date.

Notice the white Memory Modules? The radiators and tubing will both be white. White on Black theme I'm going for.

    Including White Power Cabling:

All that's left to arrive are the water cooling parts, case, and power supply

I got paper, but you guys are trippin with the 2-4 grand builds lol. Unless it is your work or something. Built mine around the time Skyrim was released, only thing I replaced since then was the PSU and HDD. Never bothered upgrading cpu or graphics card. Never even reapplied my thermal paste lmao.

have you seen what is recommended for today's games to run on ultra and on a 1440p high refresh monitor? this computer isn't designed for DCUO. this game can run on a computer that's 10 years old and a dedicated graphics card (game first came out in 2011, i used an Nvidia GTS 250). my intentions are to expand my gaming horizons.

i even acquired an IKEA Jerker Desk.

Nice rig, pretty much the best you can get for a gaming PC nowadays. The RAM capacity might be a bit overkill for today's games, since 16 GB is more than enough, but at least its future proofed. Your PSU is overkill, 850W is enough for that rig even if you go for high clocks on your CPU/GPU. On 2nd thought, with all those case fans and pumps, it might not be overkill, but I've never done custom loops so I dont know how much power that consumes.

OK so you got everything for a gaming rig, but where are your mouse and keyboard? G710+ and Chaos Spectrum would fit nice with that rig ;)

ASUS ROG claymore and rog pugio =D kept all same brand for rgb whenever possible. all rgb is fully compatible with asus.

also, 32 gigs of ram because i may end up streaming again. 1440p most likely will need to be downscaled. the extra ram i've read will help with the transcoding on the fly along with extra cores on the cpu.

thanks for the appreciation replay =)

Yep you're right, RAM most definitely helps with streaming, 32 GB should have you covered there. post images when its done, wanna see it when its all lit up :)

Your mod-fu is either weak or incredibly strong, if you haven’t needed cpu/gpu/ram upgrades to keep Skyrim stable :D

I multi-task with Skyrim running. I run Skyrim and any other new game not name Ark fine. I usually run multiple games at once, (Not with Skyrim). It is a decent build, serves a purpose. I play FO4 fine also. Until my PC starts to struggle with new games, then I will upgrade, and reapply my paste:D. Will probably just buy another cpu instead.

Edit; A common misconception is players need 2-3k rigs to be a pc gamer, so console gamers do not bother. That is far from the truth, unless you want to play everything on ultra.
  16. High Troller Loyal Player

    i wouldn't call my setup ultra... =D
  17. High Troller Loyal Player

sadly i am still waiting on the Fractal Design Define R6 case, but this came in:

that's the huge waterblock for my cpu. it'll also cover the voltage regulators nearby. i also got the EK m.2 heatsink. the south m.2 has it's own heatsink, but not the one next to the cpu. going raid 0 may make them run hot. the m.2 heatsinks should help.

the petg tubing is no joke and i am very intimidated in bending them. i got extra just in case.

I game pretty happily on an i3 build I threw together for 500 bucks back in 2013. Every time I think about upgrading I just wonder "do i really care about these extra frames? " and just decide against it. Once I buy a multiplat and it doesn't run at 30 stable im def gonna go all in on an upgrade tho.
