Fixed Broken broker

Unable to set any price (regardless of item) on the broker.

E.g. Trying to sell qwardian alloy stack - it gives a set price of 20,001. But doesn’t allow me to set the amount I want. I’ve tried this on almost every item in my inventory.

PS5/EU server.

P.S. hilarious side effect also. After unsuccessfully trying to enter an amount into the price box (and failing) and leaving the broker screen. Can’t seem to use any chat. LFG/shout etc.

The chat box seems to think it’s still in the brokers price box.

Tried to switch to a different area to see if it’ll fix, but no! I need to relog.

PPS. It also locks your mail.

I've just listed something and set the price myself (USPS/PC), so maybe this was a temporary glitch. I see the clock now ticks down from 14 days. Should be interesting to see what this does to prices.

Probably a console thing. But even on discord, many are talking about it.

There's also a problem with the prices. The last 3 digits are missing. Some prices only show 999,999,999, (3 digits missing after the comma)

My solution - USB keyboard. I don't know how anyone plays this game without one anyway.

This is a known issue with PS4/PS5 and Series X|S native consoles right now.

Wasn't this one of the reasons we had the cap at 999,999,999 in the first place...because people would list things that cost like 200m at 1,117,999,999 and people would see what they thought was 82m dollar bargain and buy it and if you had 1+B to spend....it would spend.

Or am I remembering wrong? I never personally ran into the issue as I didn't have 1+B back then...but I seem to recall this.

Now, granted. Missing the last 3 numbers is better that the first 3, but I figured they'd have removed the 9 digit restriction before rolling this out.

It's funny because I thought the KB was broken across the board, because I did go into the broker first so biffed the rest of my chats/typing apparently. Didn't realize this was an additional side effect. My buddy sent me a tell and I was like 'Hey...how come your KB works?', but he had not gone into the broker at that point.

The patch was released despite it being known that the broker doesn't work on console. This excludes a large part of the player base from a core system and causes serious damage to the in-game economy. Decisions like this make it feel like console players are second-class – as long as the money keeps coming in.

My broker is broken. In addition to that I've had problems recently putting points in the league bin all items would go for 1 pt regardless of what it is. And sometimes when I go UP in level I get one shotted for a couple hrs then it's like my def returns please fix the issues asap

On PS5, when I tried to post something in the broker, I will click on the item but it won’t let me change the price. When clicking the X button it won’t work. After that, you can’t post in any chats, LFG, league etc, as the x button no longer works to enter the chats.

Thanks for the explanation – but with all due respect to platform limitations: this isn't a minor visual bug, it's a massive disruption of core gameplay mechanics.

We are unable to sell anything for an indefinite period of time. The broker is a central part of the game for many of us – and currently completely unusable. Unless you buy a USB keyboard, which is not a real solution.

At this point, we’re hoarding items we can’t sell – and once the broker works again, tons of players will try to dump everything at the same time. That’s going to completely break the market.

I understand that console testing is limited – but that doesn’t change the fact that this issue, in its current form, is unacceptable.

Back to topic:
What I’ve heard from several players: supposedly, the broker still works for them if they’re using the old client – not the New Gen one. I can’t confirm that myself, and honestly, I have no interest in reinstalling an outdated client just to work around a bug that shouldn’t have made it to live in the first place.

This is extremely terrible. They gave us an update that doesn't work and now has taken away the thing they updated. I'm hoping they fix this ASAP because if they don't get this fixed soon we'll have to wait further into next week after the long weekend.
