A bit on the lesser known side, but voice actor Kirby Morrow. He played more than a few anime characters in dubs (Miroku in Inuyasha and Goku in the Oceans Production dub of Dragon Ball Z) but also featured in some other animated work (he played Cyclops in X-Men: Evolution). Always liked his work.
Former Mayor of New York, David Dinkins, died today of natural causes at the age of 93. He was New York's first Black Mayor. His wife passed away at the age of 89 in October of this year.
Tommy "Tiny" Lister, the imposing character actor best known for playing villainous roles in movies like Friday and No Holds Barred, passed away at his home in Marina Del Ray this week at the age of 62.
His role and performance in The Fifth Element was such a departure from most of his other performances, and he played it well. After all his other movie appearances to that point, I don't think anyone expected him to be so soft-spoken and eloquent.
