"The actress, who starred in the cult classic 1994 film, passed away at her home in Jackson Township, New Jersey, according to an obituary posted on the Hassler Funeral Home's website." I know not every person recorded on camera will be breaking news on TMZ when they die, but I found this sentence morbidly sad. Geek fans create names and backstories for any character that blurs through a shot in the background for two seconds. She starred in a break out film that put Kevin Smith on the map to become a "geekdom" legend. And the news of her passing comes from, not her family, not Smith, not even from a funeral home spokesperson, but the obituary posted on the funeral home's website. And she was only 44!?! I probably haven't seen Clerks since I was in high school, but now I actually want to revisit it.
Just noticed that Nicky Hayden, former MotoGP World Champion at last seasons 5th ranked in the Superbike championships died last week - at age of only 35.
John G. Avildsen: Film director( Joe, Rocky, The Karate Kid) and Academy Award Winner For Best Director ( Rocky)
Roger Smith, "77 Sunset Strip" Norro Wilson, responsible for Shaina Twain Anita Pallenburg, "Rolling Stones" muse Peter Cant, Play School
Pallenberg, actually. Also actress, not just Stones-groupie. She was main cast (not lead of course) in Barbarella, if someone remembers that movie....
Oops! Misspellt her name Usually put a link to the notice of their death with possibly a brief note of what they were famous for (Ms Pallenberg also starred alongside Jagger in "Performance") Few more names: Bill Dana, beloved American comic performer of the 60's John G. Avildsen, director of "Rocky" and all three "Karate Kid" movies
