Could there be a system set up that would allow me to gain marks of triumph for lower tier content. Once I have collected all the drops I need from F.O.S. III for example, what's my motivation to return to that mission. Maybe increase the drop rate on M.O.T.s based upon how much higher my CR is than the recommended CR. At the very least it would be nice to bring back some amount of MOT to the lower tier missions.
For one thing, you could get the newest equipment a little faster. Or you could spend it collected all the armor you need to complete style feats. Basically on all the things that help increase skill points.
i think you'll find many players and devs opposed the idea of being able to earn current top tier gear by running older content although I do find merit in giving newer and older players a better way to work on completing 6 tiers of style feats. the same thing can be accomplished by simply lowering the cost of t1-6 gear. in some cases dramatically. most tiers have two style sets to collect, some four. tiers 1,2,and 3 should be very cheap. its disposable gear...more times than not players will outgrow the gear just running one instance. the same applies to the rare style vendor. 70 marks for a t1 or 2 style seems absurd. it should cost the run of one raid (10 marks) with higher tiered gear being adjusted accordingly...its one thing to have to decide between purchasing a top tiered chest or being able to buy 5 or 6 lower tiered stylesand another to decide between having to buy a toptier piece of gear and spending 70 marks on just one style.
10 MoV per a vendor style piece up to Raven's gear at Vendor 22. That is 80 marks for 50 point feat. Lower tier players typically have more than 12 pieces of content to earn MoV. In two days just running T1 content I had over 80 MoV. It is not hard to earn MoV in this game. In T7 you have 2 alerts at most to run. For T1 content I have 5 solo, 5 duos, and 5 alerts. That is 45 MoV a day I can earn. I have had no issues getting into content.
What's your motivation is your call. MoT were never worth anything once you hit T5. What was your motivation to do T1 stuff? Oh yeah 2 MoT towards the 60k gear. What motivation? I just like to revist and help out.
Plus, if your alts are "well prepared", you can skip T1-T3 completely. I think gearing up ATM is fast enough - people who have a higher tier main can get their alts up "faster" and people who are working on their main/first toon at all should take the time to actually learn the game. If there wasn't that many players still leaving at endgame level, I'd say slow it even down - thankfully, SP mattering again may take care of that now.
