Bring back classic dcuo as separate game

This is exactely what is needed a completely constructive answer with clear points on what is needed. There is prob 1 or 2 points that is missing that probably haven't been mentioned.

The reason i blocked you is because of this exact reply your belittling and assuming stuff before you have necessary info to back up said person. Why should it matter if they not even played the 2012 version on dcuo if they give you feedback on the classic version to help you make a better answer/decision to best help the game overall.

Now if you were to start off with this and you had more willing participants to give oppinions then belittling because they didn't pvp in 2012 or are PvE focused then implying you not played 2012 pvp so you points irrelevant.

I can tell you now a classic version of dcuo would not be viable after code deletions if it true and such so instead of classic version why not improve upon the current system we have now. The only issue you have with pvp fixes at the moment with DCUO pvp is Uanimous consensus between majority of pvp community players.

Hire a handful of new developers to work on it and figure out a way to increase revenue from the player base so that the increased overhead from the new developers' salaries doesn't negatively impact D.I.s cashflow.

I believe on a thread that is about the classic version of the game it would help if you played the classic version of the game when you comment. It is like having a dcuo thread and someone comes on and shares their opinion on how dcuo can improve when they never played the game before. I will admit i could have been more civil.

I Understand that but not every one is fortunate to have played 2012 dcuo best you can do to make them a lil more familiar with it while being unbiased is telling them abit about 2012 dcuo. It might help a lil they won't have the experience but it definately give them a view of what it was like back then on why it was loved by some and hated by others.

I didn't play DCUO back then. However, between my little bit of knowledge of programming, my substantial knowledge and experience in running a business and having paid attention to the capacity and pace of work productivity the development team in it's current iteration has been able to produce, I'm more than qualified to say that this idea is a pipedream and isn't anywhere close to the ballpark of feasible. Build an entirely different version of the game from the ground up when they're already too overworked and understaffed to fix some pretty prevalent bugs??? c'mon bro...

Now, I'm ALL FOR topics like this being brought up for the purpose of engaging in some good ol' healthy and respectful debate with fellow DCUO gamers. I love debate. It's fun, keeps the mind sharp and scratches my competitive itch. But if this is a legitimate request or hope that our development team devotes time and resources away from other things to accomplish and make a reality??? Like I said...c'mon bro...

So with this thought process, does it mean that only players who also played back in the day would be able to play this 'new' classic DCUO?

Seems like you're stuck on nostalgia (which has been known to make things feel better than what they actually were), you need to just let it go and move on.

The number of Speed Hackers that people are constantly seeing in the game, and that have been around forever, proves that some players are constantly just looking for a "quick fix" to let them run through content with little real effort, and without having to learn the game's mechanics. And it's also why we end up with some players that are "leeches" that want to queue up for an instance, enter it, then go AFK immediately and let the other players carry them.

I keep hoping the Devs will figure out a solution for that latter one (they'll never entirely stop speed hacking unless they go to the time and expense to go after the developers of the unauthorized cheating software in a court of law) but we'll have to see what is announced as time goes on.

In the meantime, those that are unhappy with the game as it currently is DO have other choices for superhero MMORPGs! Champions Online is still actively developing content as far as I can tell. There are apparently private servers that still run the old City of Heroes and City of Villains games, and their spiritual successor, City of Titans, may actually get a full release someday!

So it is suggested that those who find DCUO is "dead" for what they want in the game should go check out some of those other options. You want to be stuck in the past? Go play COH/COV as they were before DCUO even released! :p

And all it takes is someone saying, "wait, who's this person again?" and the person in question is on the outside looking in. Funny how community gatekeeping can work like that.

I don't think the devs can do much until or unless a few things happen:
    1. The PvP community gets their...act together and comes to an agreement about what it is they want to see in PvP.
    2. The PvP community acknowledges and accepts that what they want to see may clash with what the devs have in mind for PvP, which means they may not get everything they ask for/request/demand.
    3. The PvP community realizes that they may be too close to the topic at hand to be truly objective about it and accept that perspectives from outside of PvP might have merit.
I've seen community interaction with dev teams work well to bring about positive changes in the past, but it's always been a matter of players working WITH devs. Situations where the players take up a "you should just do what we tell you to do" attitude rarely work out well in the end, and sticking only to the opinions of those who are considered the "core" will likely lead to little growth in PvP, if not outright stagnation.

If people REALLY want to see change in PvP they'd best be ready to put in some effort on their own end. Just dumping it all in the devs' lap isn't going to work when there needs to be give and take on the side of both the players and the devs.

About the only "Old School" thing I'd love to see again are those CLASSIC "Comic Cut Scenes" that are featured when you're leveling up from 1-30.

    Those.

    Were.

    AWESOME.

Imagine Comic Cut Scenes with the Justice League Dark, Metal Pts 1 and 2 and the many other DLCs that have dropped over the last few years - ALL with Comic Cut Scenes.

PLEASE DCUO - bring THOSE back if possible.

Never said a noob, you made that up. I said someone bad at PVP. You are an elitist, your exact words said that only the best can have a valuable opinion. Im callin you out as an elitist ***** an full of s***. And lmfao, where did u possibly get im upset about being bad at PVP? Holy insinuation batman lol. I choose to be bad on purpose because i dont liek pvp and have no desire to be part of that toxicity (especially if you represent the community's best as you claim. Cant imagine anyone would wanna be around someone so arrogant).
Call that rude if you wish but the same an more can be said for your toxic and unjustified holier than thou attitude toward the rest of the community.
Your not better nor more valuable than anyone else (even a day 1 noob FYI). Nothing makes you so high an mighty. You aint special. And your opinion is for sure no more valuable sorry to say. Reality can hurt i get it. But what you call rude is nothing more than reality being explained to you.
Your toxic attitude toward the rest of us is exactly why the devs aint gonn listen to you. You have devalued your own opinion by your elitist attitude.
You have a wonderful day anyway

it would not be making an entirely new game from the ground up, not even close.
  12. MojoDuul Active Player

that is a strange conclusion to come to and no clearly not.
  13. MojoDuul Active Player

I did not call you a noob i was making a point. we are talking about whos input is more valuable when it comes to pvp. you can not just listen to every player especially if a player is a noob or does not even understand the mechanics. my exact were were not only the best can have a valuable opinion and stop crying elitist over and over again. based on your comments you are overly emotional and extremely petty. like i said a pro driver has more valuable intput regarding cars than one who does not know how to drive. people who are horrible at pvp and do not understand the mechanics do not have as valuable an input as pros. this is simple.
you seem upset with all the cursing and crying. if you do not like pvp then do not even comment on it. why are you wasting everyones time? you are dismissed. I have no holier than though attitude this is all in your head. I even offered to give you some training and tips to help you get better at pvp and you chose to insult me instead. i literally tried to be nice to you. you are in fact the most toxic person in this whole thread idk how you can not see that.

I would love to see this happen a dcuo that takes skill again where sp arts and augs don't matter only how you play that matters showing the players who truly got skill compared to the credit card warriors and skip carries such as most folks are and few such as myself are self made

And just like you tried with Zoe, there you go with the “im better an my opinion is more valuable an do not comment on it”
Continuing to prove my points w/out changing how you present and come across wont get anyone on your side.
    Best of luck

    Remember it fondly, but:

    1) once you reached 30, it was all you had to do.

    2) game performance was noticeably lackluster.

    3) once people achieved their feats, most stopped caring or left the game.

    4) the population who may enjoy this, would play over a weekend, play it out, and not return = not worth the time/resources

I do think we should encourage PVP towards what it looked like at the game’s inception. In my opinion, we need to recognize that it will only be a niche portion of the game, but does lend to retaining players interest during episode dry-offs. Adding new gear styles or exclusive items is a necessary “carrot” for those not overly excited about PVP.
  19. Aduzar Light Dedicated Player

It's funny to try to propose that, especially when you know the mentality of the players quite recent to want to do everything fast, extremely fast and not to want to stay after several attempts and moreover, not to stay after only 1 attempt in a raid, without forgetting the various events each week.

You say no weapon mastery like that is a bad thing
