Bring back classic dcuo as separate game

The game is very very alive. I have desire to subject myself to the incredibly toxic pvp scene so no, i wont be Q’n for an 8v8 pvp match.
Also, i have seen you take your argument to full extreme worst case scenario to make it easier to present as proof the game is dead.
You suggest that if the game is alive, then Q for an 8v8 pvp match. Your insinuating that not getting that Q to pop is somehow proof the game is dead.
The argument is a logical fallacy. That specific worst case scenario Q not popping proves nothing more than in that moment, no one is Q’n for it (and who could blame them).
Anyone 8v8 ing is of course making a group if anyone is willing to even do it. C’mon man, be real.

you clearly have no idea how fast Ques use to pop. it is literally impossible to get an 8v8 unless you organize one with other players.

I assure you, i am terrible at PVP. And will always be so because i genuinely could care less and dont enjoy it. But i could do it, i could learn it, i could fig out issues with it and form VERY coherent opinions about and offer suggestions and the fact im terrible at it does NOT in ANY way lessen the value of my input you elitist *****.

you misunderstand. the more skilled you are and more knowledgeable you are on pvp the more valuable your input. a professional drivers input is more valuable when it comes to cars than someone who does not know how to drive. back in the day people knew who the best players were and best leagues and they were the core of the pvp community. you asked who the core of the pvp community would be and i answered you. They are the active players and top players withing the pvp community. idk how to explain this but it was an actual community and we all knew each other. when you went into arenas you knew what leagues to watch out for. leagues had their rivalries also. It was like the UFC community and with just as much smack talking to ha. btw your comment is rude. I can train almost anyone to get better at pvp. you do not have to be terrible at pvp if you do not want you. I am willing to give you a lil training even.

As someone who was here following all that was happening during the sale and has also been here since 2011, I can say your memory isn't as vivid as you think (not a big deal, happens to all of us).

The name Daybreak Game Company did not exist in any public form until the announcement of the sale, as is standard and legal in any business dealings. At the time of the sale announcement they did not have any letterheads or even logo designs and as such all SOE branding was still there for a few months. It wasn't until April 27th 2015 that they debuted the DGC logo and then launched the DGC website, each game's sites then followed with the new branding.

To add on it took a few months before the inevitable personnel changes began, so the full team that was SOE before the sale was still running things after. And lets not forget when the changes did happened they made Spytle the big boss.


To the classic mode. So you want DI to put in all that time and money to make such a server (because its not a simple flick of a switch to do, even if it was possible at all) and have it be free, for a chance players may go to the main game? Do you really want the game to shutdown do to lack of funds to keep it running?

Look I understand your feelings for wanting something that was (whether memories match reality or not), I have a lot of good memories of the early days too. But as has been discussed when this idea came up before, it's just not worth the trouble for the limited interest. Don't forget that the game was rather small back then, with only 4 DLCs by the end of 2012. That was good back then but it's not enough to hold people now. I also believe a dev comment said that it wasn't even possible do to assets/code being gone, lost in the process of making changes or something to that degree.

I like that it was small. less grinding. I would love a simpler DCUO with less grinding and no artifacts plus an awesome pvp experience. that is exactly what i want. sorry but when i came back some time after weapon mastery there was a daybreak logo. i specifically remember being surprised by it.

As someone who has been here since Day 1. PVP was indeed good and players will either play a game for this or play a game for that. What makes it live longer isnt nor will ever be the PVP of a game. It certainly deserves updates but it never should be the focus.

A Classic DCUO isnt the answer. Hell even Classic WoW isnt "Vanilla". It has that content for sure but its built on the same Engine Legion was built on and its trivial to the game itself. You can just AoE farm everything to level. You couldnt do that in Vanilla. Classic DCUO would be in the same boat. There isnt a way to grab the Original Engine build to recreate it. Its been molded, changed, blown up into what we have today. You wont get the Rock, Paper, Scissors format of PVP in Classic, you would get what we have today.

I don’t agree with the OP and I know you were in a heated debate with him but bashing the entire pvp community isn’t the way to go. There has also been a lot of false information put out by people replying to this OP. It would be good if you could respond to him without dumping on the entire pvp community, you’re not the only one to do that in this thread and those who do are no better than the op themselves.

No no, I didn't mean the entire PvP community, I was talking about a group within the pvp community that feels super entitled to everything and just talk down to everyone and being toxic. I know not everyone is like that, but I never said the entire PvP community was at fault. I was talking specific to cases I came across. She did say something about assuming gender but was Jacob who first clarified her gender in this thread so that’s clearly a misunderstanding

To be honest, just like everyone else said, you’re not gonna get anywhere by making wild assumptions and kinda putting people down. There is some merit to some of the things you have said in all the threads you posted, but saying silly things like pvp makes more money and all that is not gonna get you anywhere, I want pvp to get attention but no use assuming stuff, no matter how true it seems to you.

Clarify the position on Counter Immunity
Make it so that in open world PvP gear is always stronger than PvE gear
Release a new set of gear
Release a new map
Balancing powers for PvP use
Bring back FNL
Introduce 'lobby queuing' for PvP

I genuinely think you have made good points some of the time. But it's too wrapped up in stuff you can never prove and assumptions which actively work against you.
