Bounties may need to be hard clamped

    Bounties may need to be hard clamped. If not, then players may never know the experience of defeating them at level.

    I was soloing Boomerang at CR 69 as an Atomic Tank. I had around quarter of health to go on him until a "strong" CR player took him out, stared at me and left. There is nothing preventing this sort of behavior from happening again other than through "happenstance" (pragmatically speaking). These missions were not designed for players to complete quickly, not at macrolevel. They were developed to be completed through a battle of attrition.

    Your personal goals should be just that, personal. No one should ever have to experience the effects of your goals at such a large scale. If players want to blow through bounties then the developers may need to develop a way where the players can do that alone or with consenting players.

    To me, players being able to nuke bounties for non-consenting players is an oversight on the developers end.
    Bounties are not the only problem players can run into. There is nothing stopping a league from going to different campaign-mission areas and one-shotting adds. Which means stat clamping should be extended to the Open World.

    Bottom Line: The developers need to stop trusting players. Open World areas need to stat clamped based on the threat level of the adds and bosses within the area.

    To be clear: Optional stat clamping should happened on the Duty tab. However, this should not be optional within the open world.

    Disclaimer: I am a bit annoyed that this player cut my Atomic Tank "training" short. After all, I was learning how to use my combos on a Bounty. No, practicing in an instance is not favorable for me. Especially when you can be kicked out of the instance or just not able to Tank the mission.

    Yea how's about no lol. Stat clamping the open world is even dumber than stat clamping instances. There's no logical reason to do so.

    I don't understand your issue here....Bounties are open world target and just as you are "training" one on, the other person may have needed to take him out for their feat count.

    This happens and no the devs shouldn't make a universal change just because of a the few times an individual wants to use them as a training tool. If that happens, you just need to move on to another bounty or go to another spawn point.

    I have to agree with Angel of Life....I mean sorry you were wanting to play solo on a heavily populated mmo, but that's your decision. We all started low level and low cr. A few bounties are not the only way to practice tanking, Keeping it real, if you want to be like please don't help i wanna play alone.......perhaps MMO life is not for you. When you are the high CR, and your farming for marks or styles, will you complain then that the low cr's won't get out of your way?

    I dunno if people are just trolling or they are serious about stat clamping. Stat clamping will make this game die and should never be implemented, in any form, in any mode, in any phase, in any environment. Imagine running around in Gotham farming exos, minding your own business and all of a sudden as you move around you accidentally get attacked by a bunch of wags and joker clowns and you die. With CR 140+. I would probably be one of the first ones to leave and cancel my membership if my top modded T7 gear all of a sudden stops to matter anymore.

    You wanna "practice" tanking on a real target? Go do solos or adjust your gear accordingly and use a walk in. Stop crying on forums about things that happened to you in the open world.

    Can we also clamp collections. Every time I spot one, some non-consenting player swoops in and steals my entitlement.

    Ppl are serious. I agree with them clamp on duty q but give us walkins to every alert and op.

    You may not be seeing the other point. If you have never experiences a F.A.T.E. or some other open world boss event then I can see one way why you made your point.

    Also i don't agree with any kind of clamping.....think of it hoow many times have I run Ace chemicals to try to get the Psycho chest.....and what if instead of flying through it quickly each day hoping to get the right boss, I have to struggle and wipe alot there at cr 157

    You wouldn't be under-powered while stat clamped, just not overpowered. Furthermore, it already happens in the reverse and that issue has been tolerated since its still active. Do you want a "world wide" system in place that debuffs or makes you immune to damage depending on the situation?

    I don't see why u wouldn't agree to that it's probably faster to walkin then q up.

    Unless of course then that means every on duty gives marks too, then you run into people gaining cr and style feats way faster then the game was intended

    If your "unconditionally" against clamping, how can this help the Devs better understand if clamping is needed in the Open World?

    uhhhh so let me get this straight... you want YOU to be able to solo the thing meant to be taken down by a group but not someone higher than you. ok.

    Degree of OP comes into play. Don't know boomerang's CR off bat but back in the day (at level) ppl used to shout and needed half to full 8 ppl group to complete CC bounty. As time went on solo was possible, the norm and practical for grouping since less folks are doing them. So if clamp are you saying enough to solo but not 1-3 shots?

    Devs also added that a player (solo) or a group had to contribute enough (DMG) on a boss to share credit on a kill. If one person or group kill it too fast before other party get in then they may not get credit.

    The person could have been more considerate since you found the bounty first. Maybe try to group with you first or ask. I emphasize but not sure if clamp is necessary the answer, and it is still open world.
