    Combat system
A proper tank needs to know the basics, and the basics is a rock-paper-scizor whit abit of salt:3
Combat system is real important because is one of the ways a tank has to mitigate some damage. Each weapon has their own combo variations, so in order to fully become a tank master, one must know the ways of the weapons and try to counter it accordingly:3.

    Lunge[Scizors]
A Lunge occours everytime a player performes a charged weapon attack or at the end of chain combo. A Lunge attack can be counter by a block.

    Block[Rock]
While on Block state your defense is increased by 100%, effectively doubling it and reducing all incoming damage. A Block can be interrupted by a Block Break dealing MASSIVE damage.

    Block Break[Paper]
A Block Break is a powerfull ranged weapon attack that can be interrupted by a Lunge attack.

    Roll[Salt]
A Roll happens when you press a moving key while on the Block[Rock] state. No one likes to take MASSIVE damage so use it whanever you see a Block Break coming:3 or to quickly get some distance after a succesfull counter.
A player in Roll state can be interrupted by a lunge attack.

    Basic Tank mechanics
As a tank your main objective is to assure no one gets destroyed by incoming enemies, including yourself. In order to accomplish your goal, there is a combination of mechanics to have in consideration:

    Aggro Table
Each enemie has a wanted list of most hated called Aggro Table. An enemie will always try to attack the player on the top of that list. The positioning of players in the Aggro Table is primarly based on their role being Healer>Dps>Troll>Tank, and only then "how good they perform".
Recomendation: Read Advanced Tank mechanics - Dodging.

    Aggroing
A tank by default is the most unwanted from the Aggro Table. The process of using a power while in tank role is called Aggro and it forces to artificaly place the tank in the top of the Aggro Table.
Important: All moviment powers dont apply Aggro, be sure to take advantage of it:)

    Taunting
In some cases when there is more then one tank in group there may be the need to ensure a boss will target a specific tank. In order to properly do that, there is a combination of specific powers that forcefully apply a Stronger Aggro.

    Crowd Control
Crowd Control is very important and can dictate the success or failure of your group. I seen alot of groups failing due to tanks not being able to properly use crowd control(tank pulling adds while tanking bosses...).
Recomendation: When using crowd control always wait for the full duration of the effect to prevent foes from getting resistant.

    Pulling
Pulling is usually used on adds and allows to quickly bring them towards the tank. Never EVER use a group pull while tanking a boss.

    Stunning
When there is alot of adds, you may want them to attack you the least times as possible. Stunning is very important because helps mitigates damage specially when there is ALOT of adds.

    Group Breakout
In the game there is alot of mechanics that may apply some form of crowd control to the group like: stuns, encasements, roots, knock backs... A tank whit a Group Breakout can momentarily prevent thoose effects from affecting the group preventing unnecessary deaths.
Note: Some tanks call it Immunity, even thought is not accurate is kind of true:D

    Suplementary Options
Unfortunaly sometimes ins't possible to have the perfect loudout for a given situation. In this section we will try to explore some possible solutions that may not be ideial but are definivelty a huge help.

    Consumables
*All the following consumables are crafted through R&D.*

    Chorno Emmiters[Stun]
    A niet stun recommend for tank loudouts that lack of crowd control or when having lack of power issues;_;

    Dumpening Fields[Weak Sheild]
A weak sheild that I personaly don't recomend, but can be used to help set up tank powers that rely on combos.

    Buff sodas[Stats increase]
Buff sodas are great, specially when you trying to catch up. The only dawnfall is losing the buff when you die.

    Mods
*List of viable mod options as a tank*

    Weapon Mod: Absorption Adapter
A mandatory option for any tank which whenever a weapon attack is used, grants a sheild that reduces up to 75% all incoming damage for a given period of time.

    Feet Mod: Tumbling Master: Feet
Tumbling Master is by default a must for every tank. This mod grants invulnerability while on Roll[Salt], meaning there is no way to get counter while rolling. Aditionaly Tumbling Master allows a combination of combos that can extend the roll distance.

    Feet Mod: Explosive Block
Explosive Block is another viable option, basicaly everytime you successfully counter a enemie whit Block[Rock] he is knocked back. This mod is really nice for tanking adds or to avoid as much as possible interaction with the boss.

    Neck Mod: Fortified Assault
Fortified Assault is a mod that grants 10% defense while none Blocking and rewards tanks for using the Combat System, currently a must have for all tanks.

    Neck Mod: Fortified Block
Fortified Block grants 10% defense while Blocking, forcing tanks to constantly be Blocking. Is not used that often nowadays, but there are situations where it may come in handy.

    Trinkets
    Backups/Sidekicks
Backups/Sidekicks can be used to alleviate mechanics or help tanking a certant boss.(I prefer backups:3)

    Breakout Trinket
Breakout Trinkets is really nice because allows a free breakout or a selfguard in case there isn't a group breakout on loudout. This trinkets can be found for marks In AF2 gear vendor.

    Man-Bat Trinket
Man-Bat Trinket is a really handy trinket that due to its huge skeleton allows players to tavel a bigger distance while rolling. Aditionally it overwrites the player moviment type with acrobatis that can be a great help for certain room mechanics. This trinked can be found as random drop in both elite or normal versions of the Gotham Zoo Raid.

    Advanced tank mechanics
This topic will aboard concepts and mechanics that may be crucial in certaint situations.

    Pinning
The goal of Pinning is to alliviate the group or the tank by trapping the boss to avoid certant interactions.
Recomendation: Always use Explosive Block to permanently pin a boss, or Backups to temporarly pin a boss.

    Kiting
The concept of Kiting can be seen on the Combat System and consists in getting out of range so an enemie cannot perform high damaging melee weapon combos.
Since the player is always out of range, the enemie is forced to use ranged weapon attacks that deal way less damage.
Currently the most used ways to kite are: lunging away, rolling away or jumping.
Recomendation: Rolling is currently the best way to kite due to Dodging.

    Dodging
Dodging is a mechanic that occours when a player rolls. While on the rolling state the player ignores all damage recieived by ranged attacks, use it to increase your chances of survivability.
Recomendation: Always have Tumbling Master equiped to assure invunerability while rolling[Salt], making it impossible to get counter by lunge[Rock].
