The title would get lengthy and it doesn't fully describe my situtation, but anyway... I stopped playing a bit before Munnitions came out- my last played DLC being Amazon Fury. Nothing really drove me away, I probably got caught up in other games. But I liked this game a lot. Yes it was flawed but I loved the exploration, the degree of customization that it gave me over the characters I built, the lore (I am a huge DC comics fan) and all. And lately I've been feeling kinda nostalgic. That sums up my situation better than the title. So, for anyone that doesn't mind helping me out, there's 3 things that I'd like to ask of you: - A basic overview of good stuff and bad stuff I might have missed. - State of the game currently- balance and so. - If you are satisfied with the game, point out one undeniable bad aspect. And in reverse, if you really dislike the way the game is now, point out one undeniable good aspect of it. You have missed a lot. That's not even an exaggeration, there have been many big changes over the past few years. Powers were revamped, content was revamped, Water power, NPCs are being revamped, R&D was revamped, Artifacts, Time Capsules, gear mods were replaced with Augments, new Accessories and Materials, Survival Mode got revamped.... So much.
I expected as much- first off, thanks for the reply. How easy do you think it would be to catch up? Not in terms of peaking with the CR, because I'd like to taste the process. More in terms of understanding what is new and so on.
I have returned recently too after a long break, around 2 years, and so far I'm enjoying it. I like the new augment system, content is good, I don't like Atlantis but meh... Progression to end game can be quick if you want it to be with the amount of opportunity to get attuned gear. If you enjoyed the game before I'd say you'll enjoy it now.
In my opinion you can hit endgame quicker than when you last played. I would definitely take my time in each episode as you're leveling. Take time to work on feats, level your Augments and artifacts, have fun relearning the mechanics.
