Probably because it's clamped/boosted already, they'd have to make a different set of clamp/boost for players at level 20 or whatever the normal event threshold is. There hasn't been an 'event' level piece of content in EEG, since the clamp/boost has been added. STU ends up in the same boat. The 'event' level is the normal EEG level. Or maybe they are expecting people to buy a CR boost to insta level to a higher CR? Or maybe they are hoping people with lower CR and even lower brain cell count to buy marks? My money is on they either don't want to...or can't make a separate 'event' level instance...but the other 2 options aren't unrealistic.
It would have been nice if all the content gave the coins and there was a loot pool to choose from. Opening crates just isn't exciting. It's not motivating to run more than the solo/duo especially when we have no idea what is in the crates and you get coins only by completing one piece of content. Obvious the one item everyone wants and thought would have returned, yet no response on it and we are all awaiting the actual Batman Day to see if they are holding out on us. What a great surprise if they are. I think more people would run all the content if we could choose our rewards from the vendor. If monetization was part of the purpose (obvious because you can purchase the coins) why not just throw the whole loot pool up on the vendor and let us choose what we need from past events? I might have actually purchased coins if we could select the batplane accessory, the batplane form trinket and so on. Not everything needs to be an RNG crate. I appreciate the effort in making the event an actual event not just annual T-shirt day, but save the RNG for time capsules. We don't see this type of thing with Extra Life. During Extra Life, these would all be granted items, and we even get granted items from past events. And the community still comes through with donations. Plus we had developers interact in game with the community across all platforms. It doesn't affect me, however having no event version of an event isn't inclusive.
I'm not 100% sure, but many days there has been 1 Tier1 piece in the mix(inner, outer, sub, regal hotel, omec duo, arkham). Now...that's still not level 20 entry, but getting to level 30 vs 20 is NOT a huge difference. I see and agree with your point. However, I doubt there are that many players who fall into your situation where the outcry will make a difference.
