LOL Seriously? You've never seen the formula. It's been posted all over the internet since the old forums even. Here's a thread started by Tesseract Prime basically carried over from the old forums with the exact formula.

    https://forums.station.sony.com/dcuo/index.php?threads/combat-rating-equation.366/

You seriously have never come across that before?

your missing my point...his vit level is very low for the 96 cr that he claims. he is lieing about being cr 96. full t5 gear with full t5 mods (not experts but normal t5 mods) is cr 96....his vit level is that of a full t5 player with beta to t1 mods...about cr 94 ish. the op ir really no higher than cr 94 but lies to get into groups and when they ask his vit it becomes obvious that he lied and so they rightfully give him the boot. i would kick him in a heartbeat for his lies. if he was truthful i might give him a chance.

That ignores decimals and always rounds down, ultimately a good model, but is inaccurate enough to skew your cr downward.

There's no point in arguing with you about it - those that went full expert gained cr, and are aware. You haven't tried, and have nothing to contribute as you cannot know until you try. To defend something you have no experience with is stubborn and surprising, but I'm tired of the discussion - you are free to remain a lower cr and ignorant to how it actually works.

I've had more logically sound discussions with a five year old.

LOL Dude, yes you can mod the other pieces of gear on top of your rings. The 0.07 change I mentioned was from the rings. There is NO change with the rest of the gear whether you have basic 5 mods or expert 5 mods.

And yes, I DO know how DC handles decimals. You apparently do not. Put a 5 mod your chest, or your hands, or your head, or your shoulders. Than put a 5 expert mod in that same piece. Guess what happens. The item level REMAINS THE SAME, period. No decimals need to come into play when the item level is EXACTLY THE SAME, lol. Basic math dictates that because the item level REMAINS THE SAME, so will your CR.

Also, I don't need to be expert modded when I know how much the expert mods actually increase the item level of gear. They don't increase the item level of the gear, so they don't increase the CR of the gear. DOCUMENTED FACT.

Exp Mod do increase/affect your cr.
I didn't do any math,i played the game replace the V mods with some V expert mods and it increased
my cr by 1,went from 96 to 97cr.

Wow, you mean...you actually tried it instead of mindlessly prattling on about things you didn't even try?
  7. One_Man_Army New Player

It ignores NOTHING, lol. It takes the straight up item level of your gear, which is how DC actually does the calculation. Those who are full t5 with expert mods in their gear have the EXACT SAME CR as those who are full t5 with basic mods in their gear. FACT. I don't need to try it. I've seen the boost of expert mods, or really lack of any boost whatsoever from expert mods, and it will NOT increase your CR. I know FOR A FACT because the formula used to calculate CR, the formula that's been used by everyone, says so.

I'm tired of the discussion too. My CR will be the same as everyone else who has the same gear but with expert mods, guaranteed. The only one ignorant to how it actually works is you.

LOL Might help if you went about the discussion logically if you wanted a logically sound one. Since what you claim goes AGAINST how CR is actually calculated, what you claim is flat out illogical. I did the math. I know FOR A FACT where my CR would be if I modded in all 5 experts. My CR would be at 97.23. FACT. My CR currently sits at 97.02. Regardless, I'd still be 97 CR. FACT.

Probably did some modding of some 4 mods than. It doesn't quite work that way.

ok look here...im cr 99...since becoming cr 99 i have been thru 3 upgrades yet im still cr 99. he probably upgraged something else at another point in time but it wasnt enough to budge his cr. he probably only needed a small boost to get that cr bump to happen. doesnt mean he lied. he said he changed his ring mods and got a cr bump and i believe him. i thought i was gonna get a cr bump for update 29 but didnt.

Yes, all this evidence contrary to your beliefs (as in: not facts) is surely wrong or different. All the prior pages must be wrong/different.

if that was true then i wouldnt be sitting at cr 99 would i?
  12. One_Man_Army New Player

Dude, don't need to try it when the claim goes AGAINST simple, basic math. I know the claim is false because simple mathematics says it is. Seriously, any of you actually do the math and prove me wrong. Good luck with that, lol.
  13. HULKSMASH New Player

Nope,as soon as i bought a t5 piece i already had a v mod to put on it,
later after some farming i was able to buy exp mods of the AH,and my cr
    increased.
  14. thelostczarnian New Player

it increases the item level. i switched from full t5 to full experts. deffinitly a cr boost there
  15. One_Man_Army New Player

What evidence contrary to my beliefs? I gave THE formula proving me right, for crying out loud. There is NO evidence contrary to my beliefs. Nice try, though.
  16. One_Man_Army New Player

LOL CR 99 comes from better gear, period. I'd be sitting there too had I had more 85, 86, and 87 pieces. As it stands, my weapon, neck, face, and 1 ring are 83, and the other ring is still 82. Some 85 and 86 pieces will certainly get me there.

So you bought a T5 piece. You don't think that T5 piece was enough? Thanks for proving my point, lol.
  19. NexGen New Player

That's impossible - you did something wrong.
