Basically impossible to PUG T5 raids

Yup. Back before the blue rings were moddable, I dumped my lockbox ring mods from plan V to plan V expert....guess what? Gained a CR.

i dont think your cr had anything to do with it. it was your vit. sub 1700 vit seems low for 96 cr. for 96 cr you need a full set of manta with 85 weapon 83 neck and face, prom box rings and pretty sure you need just about if not almost full t5 mods (not experts). on my troll gear im rockn manta with betas 85 wep prom ring and 85 troll ring with one t5 mod for my whole troll set. i have about the same vit as you but no way i would be cr 96 if i only had my troll gear accounted for. my overall cr is 99 but i would never advertise myself as a cr 99 troll....cr 93 or 94 maybe but no where near the cr 99 i have due to my dps gear

when i realize someone lied to get into a raid i give them a rude emote then kick them. i aint got no time for that stuff. i also raid nexus on my 92 cr tank but i dont lie im strait up and tell them if we get red balls i wont be geared enough to hang. they need that role filled so they take me and we do fine...unless we get red balls lol

I actually enjoy pugs for the raids. I think it comes down to a person's credibility among the community. I have solo healed nexus quite a few times and its earned me a bit of renown. As far as wave goes however, I pug this with a group of friends that each are aware and know their roles. Btw.... A couple of these people beat wave with me and were 95 cr so I don't believe the higher requirement is necessary :)

Nope. I know by actually speaking with and inspecting other players that expert mods actually do NOT raise your CR. Having full T5 with regular mods is the SAME EXACT CR as having full T5 with expert mods. Documented fact. I'm not choosing to remain ignorant to that fact. That's just the way the cookie crumbles. I am 97 CR and guess what. I have not 1 single expert mod on me. If I were to put expert mods on every piece of my gear, I'd STILL be 97 CR. I KNOW FOR A FACT I'd still be 97 CR because expert mods do NOT actually increase your CR as you claim they do.

Bottom line, expert mods do NOT actually raise your CR. I and several other players I've talked to in the game have seen with our own eyes that expert mods don't actually raise your CR. But it does seem that there are a few people on these forums that seem to think it does. Here's a bit of a tip, get 2 players with the same T5 gear, have one mod with all experts, have the other mod with regualars, and then ask them their CRs. I GUARANTEE you, they will be EXACTLY the same CR. Fact.

Also, why should I give it up? I know FOR A FACT you're wrong because unlike you, I've actually seen the difference made with expert mods. Since you don't seem to think that expert mods don't actually raise your CR, it is clear you've never actually seen the actual difference between expert mods and regular mods, or lack thereof, lol. Let me break it down to you. When you replace a regular 5 mod with an expert 5 mod, the item level of the gear does NOT go up. The item level of the gear REMAINS THE SAME regardless of whether there is a regular 5 mod or expert 5 mod in it. When the item level of the gear REMAINS THE SAME, it is mathematically IMPOSSIBLE for your CR to go up because the item level of the gear is what determines CR. You do at least understand math, don't you. Put an expert mod in that gear that's showing +7 with a regular mod. Guess what. It remains +7. Put it in that gear showing +12 with a regular mod. Guess what. It remains +12. Item level remains the same. CR remains the same. Straight math, son.

You are a great player then...except this isnt about you.

I thought this was going to be about how to work as a team when you're pugging.
Instead it was about how to get into a pug that's asking for cr97 when you're cr96.
  9. One_Man_Army New Player

LOL Just actually did the math behind the CR calculation. The increase from regular 5 mods to 5 expert mods is ONLY 0.07. That's NOWHERE near enough to raise your CR. Without a single expert mod in my gear, rings with T4 mods, my CR is 97.02. If I were to put Expert mods in everything, my CR would be 97.23. That's just straight up math there. My CR REMAINS at 97 regardless. Expert mods make NO difference as far as your CR is concerned. FACT. Try to prove otherwise. I dare you. I'm using the exact formula everyone else uses to calculate CR. Expert, regular. Makes no difference. Your CR will be the same.

If it matters, my CR would be 97.16 if I changed out those T4 mods in my rings to basic T5 mods. So, where is this change in CR because it ain't happening with how CR is actually calculated, lol?

Also, we are getting dangerously close to 101 CR now. So, who's going to be first reaching it?

It won't be you since you don't use experts lol. Also, you're still completely wrong.
  12. One_Man_Army New Player

I know you're lying here, lol. The change from doing so is ONLY 0.07. That is NOWHERE near enough to gain a CR, and that's if you did so with both rings. That's straight math based on how CR is actually calculated in this game. So, either you are flat out lying, or you did some extra modding on top because what you just claimed basically throws the current CR calculation out the window. Means the formula that has been going around for a while now is flat out wrong.
  13. NexGen New Player

I'm not sure what formula you've been using, but the only two possibilities that exist are: you're doing it wrong, or the formula is wrong.
  14. Miahztwin Committed Player

Yes that's nice but the op isn't 92cr he's full t5 and is being kicked from raids because he isn't vit based. So encouraging him to lie a little when In fact he's more than qualified. If the op is as a good of player he thinks he is 1650 is more than enough as back up troll
  15. Miahztwin Committed Player

If there's a formula as you say that is highly accurate then please post it so I can plug in numbers.
  16. Dagg212121 New Player

If there is one role you can carry its 2nd troller followed by 2nd healer. Cannot hide a bad tanks and cannot hide a bad dps. If you have 2 beasts you can carry a lousy 3rd dps but its tough.

I'm assuming he's using the "known to be inaccurate" cr calculator thst doesn't work properly for t5 gear and mods, believing it to be correct. Meanwhile, the rest of us actually modded our gear and saw the increase.
  18. One_Man_Army New Player

Dude, I've ACTUALLY DONE THE MATH. If I were to replace EVERY SINGLE MOD I have with expert mods, my CR would be 97.23. FACT. The only one who's COMPLETELY wrong here is you. Do I need to do the math for you? Here, let me do it for you.

    (116.2 + 138 + 58.1 + 90.25 + 161 + 161 + 60.9 + 58.1 + 122.2 + 97 + 97 + 97 + 52 + 52.5)/14= 97.23.

I've taken out the multipliers to simplify it. That's is THE CR formula man, straight up, taking into account me putting an expert mod on EVERY piece of moddable gear. Based on straight up math, I know FOR A FACT USING THE ACTUAL FORMULA THAT EVERYONE USES TO CALCULATE CR that if I were to put an expert mod on EVERY piece of my gear, my CR would STILL be 97. So, YOU are the one who is wrong here. Nice try, though, lol.

Using that same formula with my current gear set up without a single expert mod, my CR is 97.02. 97.23 and 97.02 still come to 97 CR. So, again, based on the ACTUAL CR formulas, whether you have basic 5 mods in your gear or expert 5 mods in your gear, it makes NO difference. Your CR remains the same. FACT. Documented FACT, even, and you cannot prove otherwise without changing the formula everyone's been using since the old forums.
  19. One_Man_Army New Player

Nope, son, I'm using the same EXACT formula that everyone's been using for over a year. Take the multipliers for the item level of your gear, add them together, than divide by 14. That's how CR is calculated. Meanwhile, you are wrong because according to ACTUAL real world math, putting an expert mod in BOTH your rings changes your CR by ONLY 0.07. Not enough to raise your CR. So you are either flat out lying or did some more modding on top.
  20. NexGen New Player

You can't "do more modding on top" beyond all expert mods...not even sure whst you're talking about since it doesn't exist.

There's no point in discussing it since you aren't expert modded. We are, also saw an increase. You also saw the rings in the pages prior.

You just don't know how dc handles decimals, do you?
