Basically impossible to PUG T5 raids

Always been a lone wolf and never reallly wanted a league and I've pugged my way to cr96 full T5.....the problem is that cr97 is essentially required by all groups for the new raids....I offered my services as Secondary troll to such a group and alerted them I was "only" cr96 with 1670 vit before my sodas...boom: kicked. Yeah I know join a league, problem solved....just wondering if there were any other " solitary heroes" with the same dilemma?

Yes, this seems to be an issue for many so you're not alone. I'd suggest hitting up friends with leagues and offering your services to them maybe? I myself haven't even bothered to try and pug them because I've heard the horror stories of 2 hours + from league mates who've been brave enough to try. Sadly, my league isn't quite big enough to have enough members on all at once to even go in, or I'd happily invite you along for the ride. I'll likely never set foot in either, but I'm okay with that.... plenty of other content and alts to play on.

    Good luck. :)

Edit: My fire tank won't even be allowed in based on being fire. smh

This isn't a solution for you sadly but you would totally have been able to do it at that level. I did Nexus a couple days ago where I was the main troll with 1825 vita. The secondary troll was CR 96 and had around the same vita as you, possibly even less, and we did just fine. The fact that you were even willing to use soders would have made it even easier for you. I didn't use any soders and neither did the secondary troll and like I said, we did just fine.

You don't have to join a league just maintain a solid friends list and solicit group members that way. Then you'll be a known quantity with them and more likely to get brought into content when they need someone. Basically get in the habit of communicating and touching base with players you've had a good run with.

Personally I only run league content but since my brother is on at weird times (he lives in the UK) so he's been doing this and he's done more pug T5 raids than league raids.

I pugged everything. The few leagues I was in lasted well under a month each and they usually fell apart or were handled by horrible leaders. So in my off time I had somebody group with me so I could toss myself into my own empty league and dodge ninja-leagevites. So the majority of my play was as a PUG player.

When the CR thing and people asked me my CR I just laughed at them, and when you play with them you take notes and pinpoint the groups flaws. If and when the players turned on each other you let it all air out and point out the obvious and either the group attempts to reassemble and try to order themselves and get it done, or they fall apart. You move along. The **itty pug mission ration is now something close to 1 in 3 and the game's horrid pacing is to blame for that as well as these bugs that don't get patched with any reasonable speed.

    You move along.

I wonder why does everyone always require CR 97 even though the minimun CR required is 84 especially now since the devs have nerfed the content as said in their update 29.

It's 86, but your point still totally stands. I wouldn't advise having a full group of CR86s, but 97 is way too high.

Actually have become afraid to pug. I used to pug all the time. Then since this Dlc even with full tier five groups it is a nightmare. So many people talking big, not listening blaming any one and everyone if we wipe. Drives me crazy and now when my league mates are busy I sit and farm or get off pugging has left me frightened to who I will run with...people with full tier five whom seem to know nothing more than talk big and drop the n word as an ignorant comma....sigh very depressing.

The min is 86 but they really should change this to something like "requires you to have the gear from alerts" cause it is possible to reach that CR with full T4 maybe even T3 or reverse gear. 96 is by no means necessary or a good requirement either. I went in there at 93-94 and did just fine. The only drawback was that I found out the players in that group were giant d-bags. Got ninja looted by the healer (inb4 there is no ninja looting) and on another encounter with some of his league mates found out they were homophobic children. If I see anyone else from that league, insta ignore. n_n

I had a guy tell me the other day his cr was 87 so he could troll nexus I told him it was to low and he didn't have enough t5 gear his answer was he was he had all 81-83 but he had a piece of 87 from paradox so he knows he can do nexus I laughed at him and told him just because your buddies help you glitch paradox doesn't mean I'm walking you in nexus .

All of you lower than 94 cr shouldn't complain if you get kicked in nexus for being low CR...we all have put in the work to be high CR, even with a full 97 group we've failed at the 3rd boss room especially if general is there, so we don't want to waster our time by carrying a 90-94 cr player in there.
Everyone wants the raid to run as smoothly as possible, so if having a team full of 97 CRs is the way to do it then so be it.

I agree. Pugging T5 is a NIGHTMARE!! Nexus is bad enough but PUG'n Wave is only for people that like pain. (Unfortunately because of schedule and Alts I have to PUG all of my raids). BUT I don't want the raids made easier I just wish their was a better way to evaluate skill.

LOL! - I think T5 KILLED Puggin'. I'll still be knocking my head against the wall since I have to do it but I done anticipate much success.

You don't need a league for T5 raids but it is pretty handy. If you don't like having people around you this is weird for this type of game..
Well but IF you are pugging it is always helpful to know some people. Get some ppl that can play their role and start running more often with them..which is pretty much what you do in a league lol.

If you are a nice player it is no problem at all to be below 97 CR. As always a 97cr requirement is just an ensurance that you've run this raid(s) multiple times before (and will go up after DLC8 hitting). I would not call someone who has cr94 and does his job well being carried.

As usual there are problem with pug groups and t5 had made those problem even worse:
No talking via ts/voicechat causes you to not instantly know when a boss tell comes in, where the drone in the buff room is, if someone gets knocked out, if someone has the first and second shield in the final fight, bringing the Sentinels down simultaneously is more difficult, everyone needs to be aware of everything around him because noone else can do the job for him.

I ran Nexus a few days ago on the final fight to help someone of my league who pugged the raid. It was only a success when one healer left, we kicked the other one and replaced him by a solo heal, let the pug-cr-97-tank switch to dps and get our own (fire) tank.
And when I saw the dps not rallying ppl and running around like beheaded chickens when someone died I was instantly for kicking them and replacing them with two other dps of my league. (note: now from my league there were like 5 ppl loot locked in there).
All ppl we kicked and have replaced were cr97 and played so bad that I can say that they were carried to their cr all the times.
It is never! about the combat rating of someone. Its about how they play.

A way to assure the pug ppl know what they are doing is to form the raid yourself and ask them a few questions about the raid lol.
    Something like
"what will happen to the two council members we take down on the first encounter*"
"what do you do when you have a stun/poison aura/halo?"
"what should you do when professor infects you with this poison skill?"
"what should be done to the guise of the nexus?"
"what should you not do in the buff room?"
"when should you block in the buff room?"
"when it is wise to stand up again in the buff room and when it is not?"
"what are the skills of XYZ Batman/Luthor to be aware of?"
"in which order you should take down the robots in the robos ambush and the way down the hallway?"
"which are the skills of the suppression and oppression mech that can easily kill even a tank and how can you dodge them"
    "what means 'simultaneously'?"
"what strategy would you use in the final room for the inevitable attack?"
"what does 'random fields' mean?" (it does NOT mean jump in there and test them out if there might be damaging..)
    "what means which artifact?"
"what do you do when your team mate gets knocked out?"
"what do you do when the tank is down or the boss drops aggro?"
"when should you stand up in general and when not?"
If someone answers most of the questions wrong (or lets say 2-3 or more) you should not run with him..

I know this is not a great idea and I surely forgot some crucial questions...but you see what is the problem on pugging ;)

You can get to 97 by modding with expert mods.
If you already full moded with t5 mods reaplacing 3 with exp will put you at 97.

ps:I'm not saying you need 97cr to finish it.

Don't think expert mods raise your cr more than regular t5 mods

the pug life isnt easy but its an "if at first you dont succeed" kind of thing. yeah when its bad its bad but when its good its amazing.

don't let it get you down. if youre in a fail group just leave and find another and if they cant get things to work find another. its the same whether youre in a league or not. was in a bad nexus group, left, got into another bad nexus group that fell apart, got into a group where everything gelled together perfectly and 50 minutes later i scored an 87 traces in time neck piece for controller and expert might plans.

    thats how it works.

Just drink your soda and dont tell them youre on one? As long as there are no power issues they wont inspect you. I dont usually have problems pugging with any of my toons as long as Im not dpsing lol cause If I am then i can shout for days on end and not get picked up, even if My cr is 98

They don't. I've seen players with expert mods and players with regular mods and their CRs are exactly the same. All expert mods do is boost stats a bit more but they do nothing to boost your CR.
