Hey a fellow EU server resident ^^ I appreciate the preview, considering getting the Purple Plasmic Aura for my mental character.

Just so you know you'll need to buy the whole pack. You can't purchase them individually.

I know :-/ I like one aura, but I don't know if I can justify paying for all of them xD

is the pack only available for a limited time or is it going to stay on the marketplace?

Mepps said they have no plans to take it down.

Which is a load of Horse S**t if you ask me. If anything runs me off from gaming, it will be these credit card pinching scams that these developers like to play on their customers.

Although much better than BB's if you ask me, I wont be buying this pack because i only like 1 of them.
I have never and will never buy a BB. But i could make an effort and buy one of these packs if they keep coming and i like at least 2 of the auras. At least i will know what comes and not pure RNG.
It is a step on the right path.
For now i will give them the benefit of the doubt.

I wish I could only buy the Purple Plasmic and Dark Blue Smoke individually......I don't need the others..... They should let the Bundle at that price and add the 4 auras to buy individually for 5$, I would buy the ones I need at that price instead of having to pay for auras I don't need. This said, I think this is a really good idea!!! Can't wait to see the future 'Aura Packs'!!!

And if the individuals were to be sold for over half of the bundle price would still buy them? You have no idea what individuals would be solve for. At worse they could be sold for the full price of a Booster Bundle where they originated. The pack could have been 3500 Marketplace Cash and the individuals sold at a total $4000 Marketplace Cash. I think you may want to adjust your expectations of a business that has the right to make money so that they can support their game.

Finally just curious would you say the same thing if the pack were 800 Marketplace Cash? Would you still want to buy them individually for 250 Marketplace Cash instead of the 500 Marketplace Cash that regular auras are usually sold for?

You are asking a player that has been gaming since the days of Asheron's Call. I remember a time when we used to get everything you see here, for 15 a month. City of Heroes came out with new powers, new levels, new missions, new costumes, new auras...and had way more of everything you have in this game now...for the simple price of 15 a month.

Now we pay our 15 a month...plus...have to spend real life money for just a chance to get everything that used to be given for our simple subscription fee.

They made plenty of money. They did not need to nickle and dime their customers to make money. It was not until the past few years that companies started using the scam tactics of the Chinese gaming companies.

It's easy for you to accept it because you probably don't remember what RPGMMO's used to offer for a simple sub fee. I however do...so to me, these lock boxes are nothing more than a company being greedy and milking you to death.

So no, I won't be agreeing with your interpretation of why a company uses these tactics. I have been around long enough to know better. Not to mention, not once has a company ever come forth and said that they have to do this in order to make money...the players came up with that nonsense. The companies just simply never bothered to disagree. people will always invent reasons that justify them being ripped off. Especially when it comes to a game they never want to shut down. It's the addiction of the players that keep companies in this practice. It is a psychological tactic used against the players...and it is a gold mine for the companies that apply this tactic.

So yes, I am a bit bitter at the way they sell us these cool looking auras. I would rather pay a set price and be guaranteed to get what I want...not a big fan of paying a ridiculous price for just a small chance to get want. If I go to Walmart to buy a DvD, I want the DvD that I spent my money to buy. I don't want to buy an unmarked box with a small chance to get the DvD I want. I would not do that in real life, so I don't appreciate being expected to do that online either.

people will justify it in any way they can to defend the current system. Fine by me, it's their money to waste if they want to. If people enjoy being completely ripped off, then come on over to my house and let me rob you blind. Meanwhile, I will not ever condone such practices by any MMO company.

Me too. I kinda like purple plasmic after seeing them ingame now. But only 1 i would really want is white radiant for me ice toon. I wont be buying this pack at the price they set for only 1 aura i like. They should of sold me separately.
