That is their supposedly "risk" for stupid amount damage and healing capability reward. Plus rage has redirected rage. The problem with having to cancel the rage crash is. NEARLY EVERY SINGLE POWER can either reduce the rage crash or migate it.
That is ridiculous. First off, for a tank, if rage crash only heals back 25% of damage in, how much will u take when it is mitigated? This puts a rage tank at a disadvantage because a rage tank now has to use 2 powers to only heal back 25% of damage. For example, an ice tank can pop a shield and boom 25% damage absorption. However with rage, we have to pop Severe Punishment. Then IF we cancel it we only get 25% healing back. That needs to b at 50% healing back from rage crash and 25% of rage crash damage from mitigators. That is why rage crash should be stat based so not dps and tanks can use it the same way. A tank and a dps should not get the same effect from a defensive power as a tank.
You do have a point. Rage will be the only mitigation mechanic with a built-in risk of completely failing. They could either increase the amount of healing or perhaps take away rage crashes in pvp to compensate. Also rage dps shouldn't be able to use the rage mechanic >:

Now it has the risk of needing to rage cancel, but with the reward of a shield. -stupid damage, other than berserk, rage isn't doing "stupid" damage in pvp -redirected rage is practically the same as the iconic HL shield. It's the worst tank shield, it's a final tier power, it doesn't break CC effects like ice shields AND most importantly, it only absorbs 3 hits unlike every tank/troller shield that absorbs a set amount of damage
1. Good. 2. Played with rage, Rage does absurd amount of damage and does not make it any better that the combo's can be clipped. I have never went from 16-30 as fast as with rage just by using 2 powers. 3. Tell that to fire which has no shield. The tank side should have remained the same in a way but just in PvP their migitions should have been able to be interrupted in ways. Its mostly due to every single rage DPS in PvP spamming RA.
Did you just use leveling up from 16-30 as a case for a power being strong? I found HL the easiest to level up due to endless combos, but we're talking end game pvp here. Fire's healing shouldn't be too bad now that shields and rage are only healing/mitigating 25%... Who knows, fire may be the best pvp tank with these changes. All in all, I'm super excited with the new changes. Tanks were too strong in pvp (especially ice and earth). Just a few things that I wanted to point out about rage, but it doesn't change the way I feel about the new season either way.
You don't even want me to get into what I did with my rage toon when I hit 30. Fire heals are really not that good, mostly due to them scaling extremely poorly with resto. Hopefully this will cause Rage DPS's to stop spamming RA. Its usually fun forcing them to crash by stunning them and they go "I would have won if I did not crash"
When was the last time you played Rage? It's actually changed a lot since first release. Most notably outrage's damage. The devs called it a "glitch" where outrage with a PI was doing too much damage. It was just another nerf in disguise, lol. Rage's current damage is really nothing special now
ice actually got nerfed? as a rage tank in pvp this is really sad to hear...is the rage mechanic worth the risk now that we take awhole lot more damage? how do we stand up to dps now? why cant it be 50% and and dps get 25? i guess i have to wait to see if i feel like a tank when the up date happens. i will still bare the burden of being a rage tank in pvp.
Dude...sometimes I feel you just reply to me cause ur bored lol. It is not fair for Rage tanks to get the exact same healing as DPS because Rage crashed needs to be cancel or the user will be punished. For Ice tanks/DPS, the 25% its fair because tanks get double Dom, so their shields can take more hits than DPS. But Rage crash just healing 25% for DPS and Tank is not right at all because then the DPS are as tanky as a tank. Makes no sense at all and is not fair for rage tanks too. ^this
yes, i believe rage tanks need rage crash to heal more than DPS role. Or they can do Rage DPS rage crash should not last as long as tanks. PS: i didnt hear anything about ice getting nerfed
Any dps that have the same mechanics as there off role Is op, not because of my opinion, but because the devs have nerfed ice dps shields and sorcery watcher in dps role for the same exact reasons
i know that, im been trying to tell Sabigya for a while that Rage DPSs and Rage tanks having the same 25% rage crash heal is unfair to the rage tanks. He seems to be clueless about how unfair it is to the rage tanks. Rage tanks need to either have an increase in healing or Rage DPS rage crash needs to last like 1-2seconds less
