I understand the shielding for ice tank/dps 25% since tank gets double dom, so shield can take more hits in tank role than DPS. But.... um....hmm... thats kinda weird for rage... tank role should return like 35%-50% healing or DPS role should last like 2second less.
Are these changes just in duels and open world atm? Has anyone qd into a match , did you lose the utility belt and have an infinity soda?
That's not Seinfeld I was going to say we should stop derailing the thread, but I feel like this gif actually is going to accurately portray what will happen when people who were dependent on outgearing their opponents, home turf mods and their skill points (Jerry) go up against someone who actually has a clue as to how PvP mechanics work (Kramer) for the first time after this update. I am curious though, how much of a threat will tanks be after this update? Because someone did bring up a good question earlier about Earth's Brick still possibly giving damage mitigation.
Mostly I feel Rage should get more than 25% in tank role because you still have to cancel the crash unlike shields that guaranteed.
More updates: -You can still use HT in arenas atm :/ -WM power crits are nerfed big time in arenas. They only do about 1/3 of the damage they used to do. I'm guessing this is the result of the 35% crit chance/175% crit dmg cap. -Open world PvP is unaffected by any of the changes EXCEPT there are no longer any role debuffs. This means that Ice tanks, Rage dps, and healers are pretty much unstoppable in open world. Devs, PLEASE keep debuffs just for open world if this is the case.

Me too. Will be hilarious.... I can see it now... "um devs the top players are still full lifeing us bottom feeders" OH and don't get me started on the ones that cry " i do legends cause i feel bad beating up a t1 who queued 1v1"
Also tanks survivability is gone. One of the main things people want to tank. A "shield" only blocking 25% dmg? Ha why continue to call them shields?
Why don't they just get rid of the healing back of relentless anger in dps role and maybe slightly buff redirected rage? I thought they said they were fixing this.
Indeed, this proved to be true especially after the introduction of movement debuffs. Soon the time will come when trolls have gear/stats equal to tanks along with equal or better shields. On top of that the trolls will no longer be susceptible to debuffs from tanks while they themselves will have a monopoly on debuffs. I look forward to seeing how things turn out.
Its pretty fair due to role debuffs going away. Remembering that all rage tank powers reduce the damage you take in and cannot be blocked/interrupted. Otherwise every single rage DPS would just switch to tank and abuse the hell out of RA on that side too.
It's referring to the fact that rage pretty much has to rage cancel their shield vs all the other shields that work 100% of the time with no risk. Not a huge deal, but something that should be looked at
Trolls will always lack the defense/toughness of a tank. About the only thing separating the roles besides their applications.
