Are we fanboys? Or do we see a good thing?

The potential and the reality stand in stark contrast.

I love this game because DC Comics were always a part of my life. My characters were also a part of my life since childhood. DCUO brings them both together. Most of my posts are pro-dev team because I have a similar job and understand what they go through. I disagree with them time to time, but I think I've always kept feedback positive. Nothing can be perfect, but I'm still playing stress free and enjoying it.

I love this game because at one point in time, i never saw myself being such a gamer. It all started with me hating it at first because i didn't understand how to beat the game. Then it hit me; you can't beat the game, which in turn meant i couldn't lose. I now also know more comic superheroes/villains than i ever did before because of this game. {yay Dwyane Johnson is Black Adam}
So supporting something you like is not a bad thing. Not one bit.
People who let negatives bother them more than the positive things that keep them playing is beyond me. Maybe they just like to complain>? Maybe those are the same people who call someone a fanboy because of a difference of opinion>? Either way, i look at it as silly internet slang that does not bother me at all. If i like something, i'll say it. If i don't then i usually keep it to myself, although i have went on a couple rampages in Gotham.

Also im a fanboy. I do not like the route support roles are taking and the viable option of being a (dreaded curse word) Hybrid Role , is so looked down opon, it makes me leave for a bit, then I come crawling back for more n

But in all seriousness, imho, there is nothing wrong with appreciating the work that the devs put into this game so we can enjoy it.

I think it is both, but honestly believe it is more fan like. That is how I felt as I continued to play, even when I was bored. When I stared playing at least 3 other games in the same day it opened my eyes more, I was right. (about myself at least)
Now I feel like Legendary isn't enough and I can't keep up unless I use money, people want to judge you alone on cr and or sp even, clan members are forming there own clan within a clan.

Going that way is actually a very reasonable approach and to me the way it should be: point their devs' noses to when they did something wrong (especially when doing so again), also point out (or thumbs up! thread) when they managed to do something well, very well, astounding etc.

Problem to me is just: product quality. And I think - if I remember correctly - I nearly never criticized them for specific combat related stuff like "power XYZ is totally OP compared to ABC"; I'm just tired of knowing upfront there will be bugs in the new releases, every 5th release adds a game breaking bug in average (or worse), and some very very old bugs don't get fixed ever. This sort of - well, more organizational than development - problem needs to be addressed, and every post in the style of "leave them, I'm just happy to play this game"-post reduces their incentive to work on it. If a majority of customers accepts faulty products, the company behind it does not need to improve. The result is the principle of lowered standards. Something customers shouldn't accept.

It's all good, shipmate. I was just frustrated and decided to vent. Some folks think just because I love this game that I must have total blind loyalty and that I think the Devs can do no wrong. They are wrong, of course, but it sometimes wears on me.

But I vented and now I feel better.

I'm with you man. Every change to the game so far just added to the fun. And I've been here for more than 2 years. I did get a lot of heat whenever I said I liked one part or another of the game (specifically the powersets/weapons a lot of layer see as weak) and it wasn't justified. This is a great game, one that gives you a lot of freedom, is really beautiful and even just going from one place to another is made fun by the movement mechanics.

I'm with you man. You're not a fan-boy, you just like a good game.
