I wouldn't be against power discharge losing its ability to blockbreak. I'm a firm believer that all BBs should be holds and powers should not blockbreak.
As long as all weapons block breakers are standardized with the same .35 second delay before actually block breaking I'm fine with it.
Have you noticed Rifle being a little bit quicker, with flamethrower? Right now it seems to be exploited a little bit by a few guy on usps, with the addition of having the OP cleave WM damage.
I don't run rifle, it feels too clunky for me and I haven't ran into any decent rifle users in a long while, despite everyone spamming Two Face because he's the promo. Also thank ALL THAT IS HOLY seemingly almost no one knows how to use him the right way. Also I'm not sure if they did this or not, but of you're clipping flamethrower early with cleave WM the vulnerability window needs to remain open as well in addition to the vulnerability to block.
Ineed to know exactly if the block break from flamethrower is faster than its supposed to be. I haven't played with it much for a couple months now.
I know the flurry combo, if you do 4 melee taps, can hit really hard. Just not too sure on the cleave combo, I have heard anywhere from 10-7k crits. That combo is really quick and might need some adjusting, if it hits that hard, that quick.
It has a higher dps as far as weapon damage than the 4 tap Flurry Mastery. It is the shortest WM combo with such a high dps. Big Scoop's base dps is 3.5 and the 4 tap Flurry's 3.6, but Air Launch is 3.8, higher despite the much shorter duration. The only combos I could find with similar dps were over two times as long or clipped non-WM combos.
Power discharge is fine. There's a multitude of ways to AoE interrupt, why not BB? DP can interrupt at full range,. Solar flare and scissor kick should block break anything along their path. I've switched targets mid combo to BB someone at range only to BB the person who just so happened to block and was in my line of fire and much closer. Had I been able to tag the guy in back, my teammate might not have eaten that block counter. In like manner, I've switched targets mid uppercut only to get blocked by the person in the line of fire rather than interrupt my intended target. I guess it's the little things that get me.
There was a point in time where many weapons were capable of an AOE bb. All of them except this one HB combo were removed. I'm of the mind to say that if combat mechanics are being "skill" driven, every aoe block break should be removed. If the devs decide to have a more casual friendly system of mechanics, bring back every aoe bb that had been in the game prior. This constant shift of imbalance in a few weapons needs to stop, it is well past being old at this point.
I'd hardly say every weapon needs them, provided they find ways to make the other weapons desirable to use via other mechanics.
Thing is, we don't need more mechanics for weapons. We need the mechanics that have been broken for 3 years to be fixed. No more additions. Please. Either remove aoe BBs or give other weapons AOE bbs. That's the fix to this problem.
