Anyone else seeing a wierd delay when a feat pops?

    Got some of the feats related to the Battle of the Damned yesterday on a few toons and I'd see the message in the chat window, league notification, way before the feat popped on screen....then it would pop several times unless I was sitting still. Seems like it was fighting for screen time with animations on the screen from me fighting demons or the dead so it had to wait...then try several times to display the animation.

    This an issue on my end, or were other people seeing it?

    I think that’s what you were seeing. As the demons defeated were being counted and attributed to the feat.

    Same here.

    Not just the demon defeat count. I did the "Hear Ya" feat and I saw the feat in the chat log but not visually until I left the room.

    I had that happen out at the Battle of the Damned this morning, just as you described.

    It's not just you, and not just in DoR. Last night, I took some of my new alts through Brainiac Returns, and the pop-up for killing 500 Tumblers was trying to pop up for at least five minutes. It stopped when that Tumbler horde ended, and flickered a few more times while I was in the next Tumbler wave. I also saw it happen, but for a much shorter time, when the feats for defeating the Sub-Avatar and the Arachno Overlord popped.

    I've the same experience, since the latest update. The feat popup will only appear when you're out of combat. And it will "flicker" if u enter into combat short after, while the feat popup is still there.

    From what I saw last night, it appears when you're in combat, it just doesn't stay up, and it keeps popping back up until it can appear for a minimum amount of time. Thinking about it, I also saw it happen in Apokoliptic Gotham last night.

    In both open worlds, I had a group of several of my my alts, so I assume it may be something to do with the changes to leagues, because they're all in the same league. Or maybe it has something to do with the changes they made to phases, because both maps had at least two PvE phases.

    Or maybe it's due to one of the other, undocumented, bugfixes that were implemented yesterday.

    Just the one time yesterday - I got Veteran of Hell during BotD and thought I saw the feat on my screen twice which was, yes, weird. So your post makes sense to me.

    Yesterday i experienced this but i asumed it was due to have too many people on the same phase killing things. I mean months? Years? Ago something similar happend when the bounty was dead but i was seeing it alive and some animations were happening on screen.

    From my view it was due to be on the "bounty day", it is like when i give a thumb up after a bounty sometimes it doesn't appear and have to give a second one but i do believe is due to be on the "bounty time"

    I saw this on one of my alts who got the feat for saving citizens on the Zatanna daily. Feat appeared in the log. But showed up on screen a bit later. I don't remember if I was still in combat when turning the cog, but I don't think so?

    I'd go with that if it were not the 2500 count I hit on at least 1 toon. Besides that, the fact the lowest gap in feat count is 250...so if it were popping and re popping for the next level feat, that would mean I'd have to have racked up 250+ KO's at least a few times (unlikely).

    So, no...it was not the counts advancing the feat. I hit the feat about 1/2 way through my 150 duties, and it was popping a few more times before I finally walked away from the task being complete..

    I’ve had the popping and re-popping occur with the “communicator” messages, like the episode or seasonal intro messages, but never with feats. Does seem like the stuff appearing on screen are fighting for priority and if don’t naturally complete their cycle, they restart/requeue.. Interesting find!

    Yes, but that communicator thing has been around since I started playing at least. I used to love making Oracle start and restart her dialogs over and over again by either picking up a new mission queuing/leaving the vault, warping somewhere or just going in/out of my base door. If one was sufficiently long, I'd string her out over 3 or 4 minutes to cough up that 20 second message.:D

    This is newer...maybe not just this episode as others have mentioned, but probably just the last few at most.

    Yep, I do that with Circe whenever I claim the reward for destroying her stones in Wonderverse.. She starts in with that condescending tone, and I'll zone as many times as I can, so she can't finish, and has to start over every 3 or 4 seconds. :D

    I also do it to Oracle, after I've finished the open-world part of the Halloween seasonal. Walk into my alt's base, use the teleporter to get to my main's base, go to the HoL, etc. I swear, after two or three zones, she starts sounding exasperated. ;)

    Yeah same here it appear like 1 minute later
