So I'm looking at the Alpha people in the apps out of sheer boredom, and seeing that some of the people are being stripped of the gear they glitched, but one of the guys on the PS3 servers is wearing a Patriotic Utility Belt on their toon... Wasn't that a PC only promotion? Anyone else find weird things like that when they surf around on there?
The apps are the devil...I don't look at them They played a major role in all the negativity, personal attacks, league attacks, etc...over the throne issues. I avoid them like the plague. Not to mention the fact that they are not accurate
I have not seen anything like that but I don't understand the rankings for the Leaderboards. The PVE CR one is pretty simple to understand but the League Leader board is confusing. I see leagues on the list that have a cumulative SP of 38 but a league with a higher SP is not on the list. It confuses me and makes me wonder how accurate it really is.
Larry Liberty's characters have the Patriotic Belt. He is the Executive Producer and is frequently on USPS. There may be other developers that also have the Belt.
That explains it.. I of course know who he is, just didn't know it was his toon on there. Thanks Owl!
Sbel - You may want to go back and check the old threads when the apps were first created. The fact that they are not accurate was settled a very long time ago. It was "proven" by players buffing themselves with colas, trinkets, etc...to boost their stats. Oh, and by the way, I can say whatever I want. I don't have to prove anything to you champ
It accurately displays players current stats. I don't know why you have such a hard time understanding that. You're basically blaming the apps for not providing information that they never claimed to provide.
This happens because of how the determinations are made for what they termed as Alphas. The first item they query the API for was players with a certain number of skill points then they take that list and narrow it down into the lists of leaders. It's not accurate.
Well it accurately shows what a players stats are at the time the last query to the API was done or at the point that the player last logged out. I'm not sure what could be said about it being inaccurate based on those two points. If your point is that they are not 100% real time then I would say you are correct since I'm not sure how often the websites query the database through the API data.
