So, for the past few years we have gotten a CR skip token. I know many players have come to expect this, and even some were bummed when it didnt come for the Halloween event. I was thinking about this, and at some point, I'd think most players cant really use it anymore if their characters are already over the CR....and since alts arent really incentivized past seasonals and overall mules, it got me thinking... How about an Artifact skip? A token that maxes one artifact to 200. Many free to play players run around with artifacts lower than 80. I even know some everyday, paying members that dont have any or only 1 artifact maxed. Or in my case, I have maxed artifacts on my main character, but none on my alts. We all know how important artifacts have become, and I think it would be great for everyone if some of these lower players could benefit from at least one artifact maxed. And, I think it would increase sales of nth metals, catalysts, etc once they see how beneficial a level 200 artifact is, afterall they can still level up at least 2 more. Also, given that the devs seem to think artifact swapping is ok, many people want even more than 3 for one role, and players running 2 roles need at least 6. Im not even sure it's possible for a token like this, but I just thought itd be something different, a great value, and would allow the devs to keep selling CR skips, because let's face it, at this point who spends money on that now if we get at least one a year?!?
We might get a CR skip for the Anniversary Event in January 2023. Daybreak / Dimensional Ink are working on delivering great value in the Anniversary gift and interest in DCUO. I’m excited to see what they come up with. I hope it will inspire former players to return and entice new players to try it out.
What about a choice between an artifact skip and CR skip? some people don't play regularly or are new enough to benefit from CR. if you got to pick one of the 2, its a win win for everyone.
One is worth $50 and the other is worth about $275, I know which one we're likely not getting, but It's a nice idea.
You talking about the artifact being worth much more? doesn't have to be a full skip to max then? maybe just add about that much worth of levels? would still be significant if u wanted a new artifact to get a headstart.
Yeah, I mean... the $10 Booster Bundles and the free and bought CR skips usually give some basic stuff for artifacts, so at least something artifact-related is probably doable, even if it's just like a basic "build a foundation" deal. We also get some catalysts and Nth Metal from Daily Rewards if I'm not misremembering, so I don't think a Day 21 reward of like just enough stuff to give ya a decent boost or build a nice foundation to start with on an alt is unreasonable if they were to do non-style Day 21 items. Like, yeah they won't give us a maxxed out artifact for Day 21, but I can totally see that at least.
Well currently my account has the maximum number of characters slots and all 32 characters are at end game CR. The last several times , dcuo gives out free CR skips. But I am unable to use. I wish dcuo would expand the number of characters slots per account. ,( it encourages people to buy character slots) .
You can use a higher CR skip again on a toon who's already been skipped if you have a bank/mule, and take the artifacts goodies box for one of your non bank toons. Granted, it's not a level 200 skip, but it is bits you CAN use to advance an artifact....so kind of in the neighborhood. I have toons on the free accounts which have been skipped 3x now. 255, 290 and 310. I want the arti box out of that skipper..
Yeees, I need more slots..... I'm a character creation/designing addict and I've been stuck using armories on my existing characters with the right body types and sizes for my fix. (Though TBF there have been some benefits in that it's slowed me down a bit to do some things I've been needing to do for the existing characters like body respecs, so it's not all bad and armories are better than nothing! But still, I would love more slots since that gives me more room to play with when making and designing these characters.)
Wonder if you could delete a toon, make a new one in it's spot...open the boxes (could open a few in a row), then delete that toon and restore the old one. Probably not worth the hassle and expense (undeleting a toon costs a few bucks I think), but would be interesting if you had 1 toon you weren't too worried about it going bad on. Not suggesting trying it...just a 'I wonder if' scenario.
This a bad idea . Because most my characters I leveled up. And I put “ unique styles “in each one . And most of their armor leveled up , artifacts leveled up, styles . So it is not best to delete a characters that all in “ at End Game CR” .
RIght. That's why I said I wouldn't suggest doing it for someone in your case where your 32 toons are all viable end game toons. Guess I should have said 'someone' vs 'you'....I didn't mean you-you....I meant it as a general 'you'. It's more wondering if at 32 toons, if one were deleted and a new one added, could the deleted one even be recovered after, as that deleted toon would technically be a 33rd toon. Science experiment more than anything....I said I suggested you NOT try it. If I had 32 slots, and some were 'bank' toons, I'd give it a shot myself....just to see if it's possible....but I don't have 32 slots filled.
I'm looking forward to Anniversary Event. Despite knowing that Christmas & Halloween were lacking abit. But Anniversary is the biggest event of the year so I know we will get awesome gifts and more stuff on the vendor, and hopefully, fair prices. I don't have anything in mind I want in particiular, maybe Batman & Wonder Woman heroic statues gifted with the Superman one from Watch Tower near the Magic Wing. But I prefer material stuff rather than skips\artifacts. I believe Mepps said we will get a CR Skip in Anniversary and he said he will be surprised if not. Was sometimes near the fallfest when he said Fall Fest won't happen. I really hope we will. I just started a new Ice character on US in an amazing league and I want to be able to play with them asap. (Just...not feeling like leveling at all lol)
Just a quick question and yeah i am new here..... is the Booster Bundle still in game? in the Cashshop i cant find it but i see it in the PS Vendor. So is it gone allready or did i miss something at the PC Version?
It ended December 8. It's also not on the marketplace for PS so it's very strange for it to be in the Loyalty Vendor. They probably forgot to remove it
