Allow inspect into SP

They don't exist. You don't understand this conversation if you can't concede that point. Outside of screenshots, which would be an optional way of viewing SP. Which is what you are saying shouldn't exist. Saying the tool to view SP exists while simultaneously saying a tool to view SP shouldn't exist is insanity.

No it doesn't. It proves that when people do use it this way they have a right to use it this way. Compromise was soley for the privacy angle. I don't care about exclusion, it exists, it will always exists, get over it.

yes it does exist, no denying that, but it's still no reason to give another tool to help people do it.

Its also not a reason to stop things from existing in the game. The community is bad because the community is bad. Whether they kick you because they check you and see 90 sp or they inspect you and see t5 gear. You can't quarantine the world because jerks exist.

As this is a pretty polarising topic, I would've thought a dev would have weighed in. Hopefully to say nope, no sir, never going to happen. But a dev response that we could point to and say "here's the definitive answer, stop with these inane threads" would help.

Although adding a "thou shalt not create 'inspect sp' threads" to the forum guidelines would be absolutely fantastic.

In your little head you thought i was talking about "Tools for knowing SP" instead of "Tools for Forming Efficient Elite Groups" ,
Go figures, You just don't know how to make EFFICIENT GROUPS, Tools are there to use till your heart content and they don't violate any privacy inside the already accepted terms;

I can't agree. Players should not have that level of actual power over who gets to run content because far too often they only look out for themselves and their own interests. That's not healthy for the game or the overall health of the community. There's far too much potential for a frustrating situation that already exists in the community to turn absolutely toxic.

More often than not I'll side with what the devs determine is appropriate, for two reasons:

1. More often than not, their estimations (while low in the eyes of some of the community) are generally spot on
2. It's part of their job to look out for the game as a whole and to keep it healthy. A toxic environment isn't exactly conducive to getting new players and/or subscriptions

The whole argument is that knowing SP would help build more efficient groups. That was my original point. If you are trying to be right about something else in your "little head" then go ahead and throw yourself a party. You were right about an argument I wasn't even participating in.

Technically, I can appreciate peoples' right to associate with whomever they wish. But we also don't want to encourage or enable people to be jerks to other people. Not to open a can of worms or be provocative, but if you look at the racial integration movement in America, it did trample upon a lot of people and business's rights of exclusion. And those people were the majority too. Whether you think that is right or wrong in principle, and I'll concede it's debatable either way, I think we can at least agree that people wouldn't get along as well as they do now (despite all persisting flaws) if we had allowed people to continue being jerks to other people.

SP discrimination is absolutely toxic to the community and should not be encouraged or enabled in any fashion.

The player wouldn't have power over who gets to run content. They would have power over who they get to run content with. If I make a party and someone joins and I don't like their name, their power, or even their voice then I have every right to kick them. And as long as I don't insult them while doing it there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

I'm not saying those things are right, but I have a right to play with who I want to play with.

Yes, I progress that way too. I have beaten all content in the game (no survival yet) without knowing anyones SP. Doesn't mean the tool wouldn't be helpful. AH

Its irrational to want useful tools? With the downside being something that already exists in the game? Adding more discrimination would be like adding a drop of water into an ocean.

I don't get it. Why are you all opposing it so much? If someone wants to run only with people 180+sp, then just let him. It's his own decision and we aren't here to make it impossible. It's not like you'd be banned from content just because you have 90 sp or something. I'm pretty sure that game would barely change. Are you all kids who can't make their own groups?

All I'll say is this, I know a healer, barely 80 sp and just this week was able to complete full WM on just one weapon (the weapon with the 4 combos). Yet he was able to run TD as a healer, and even changed to dps with his armory when needed, it wasn't an OP group by any means, almost all the other members barely had 110 to 120 SP, yet they did it using 1-1-1-1. SP cannot be another benchmark for playing this game, already people are ridiculously excluded by players asking for CR 100 for FOS 2, If they also start asking for SP who's not to say they start forcing you into using WM, or even worst the people that ask for EXP (whatever that means as again stats don't mean you're good) will actually start to tell where you should allocate points based on your current SP. Honestly if you need to know someones SP, don't even bother making a group as you clearly don't understand the content well enough to know SP doesn't mean success, just like CR doesn't mean you're better than anyone else, just says what you can and cannot do. Both numbers are just theoretical to the players abilities, it's just as easy to get SP as it is to level up CR now days, but it's also just as easy for a 184 SP player with CR 106 to die in the T6 alert as it is in T3 raid just from mobs, as it is for an actual T3 player with 40 SP on a T3 raid from the same mobs, it's not about numbers, it's about the player and his own skill which just can't be measured by a number.

If anything, we should be trying to find ways to reverse the trend of an inhospitable environment, not finding new ways to make those inhospitable practices more efficient. The last thing we need is to appease people who say "What's the harm in being a jerk when there's already plenty of jerkness to go around? Please give me tools to be an even bigger jerk." That's what's insane.
