Adaptive Augments complaint.

    That way a new player has to start from zero and in order to get the newest episode specific effects they need to dump 5 billion XP into them first.

    SekretVillains approach is the one that makes most sense and is also the easiest to be applied by devs.

    At present a new player will still have to start from 0 on MULTIPLE Adaptive Augments, farm various episode specific catalysts and episode specific Exobytes from content that is no longer heavily populated.

    My approach would consolidate Adaptive Augment bonuses from Episode 32 onward into permanent sets (Might, Prec, Restor, Vital, Dom). Replace episode specific reagents for universal system: one Adaptive Exobyte of various ranks (Flawed, Solid, Pristine, etc), three Adaptive catalysts.

    Ranks 1-24 would cover Teen Titans bonuses.
    Ranks 25-48 would cover Atlantis bonuses.
    Ranks 49-72 would cover Justice League Dark bonuses.
    Etc etc etc

    No need to swap anything out, no need to purchase a second set from the supply vendor. And no accidentally feeding Augments into one another wasting experience.

    But like someone else pointed out already, none of the prior episode augments are needed anymore except for the feats to max rank them. So a new player can ignore all but the newest one.

    With your approach they are forced to go through all the prior episodes that are not even helping them anymore.

    It would help them if they wanted to rerun those episodes for feats or finish elite runs for renown.

    I would like to see them 100% breakthrough every time also, pointless to even have them drop, bad enough we have it for artifacts, but for adaptive augments is over kill. But keeping the same ones I'm fine too, they need to do something with them, it's quite annoying

    That's fine as long as the XP drops and we can buy the catalyst like we can now from the vendor and just as easy

    Source Marks would make more sense since episode currency becomes obsolete as new episodes come out.

    Neither it would have to be for a currency like aether that we could get alot of for free like we can aethers currently

    A currency possibly shared between all future DLCs, that drops in and from everything related to the DLC, and lower amounts the future you go back in DLC's

    Nope, you hardly get enough of those to bother with would have to run content months just to equal the sheer amount of aethers you could gather in a weeks time of play of a currency like that that you can earn that way

    The cost could be adjusted to match the price of Artifact catalysts. Obviously the catalysts in the Aether vendor are more pricey due to the absence of a loot lock. And there's no certainty that they will be revisiting open world bounties with no loot locks.

    For the amount of catalyst needed for the later ranks of artifacts, the catalyst prices for artifacts is ridiculous too seeing as theres not much that nets source mark and if you play 1 character you arent making it to those later ranks without paying for it before you have to buy seals ofc

    Actually, rank 200 requires 280 source marks, and doing all content from BoP and WV nets 182 source marks weekly. In less than two weeks you can get more than enough marks for ranking an artifact. So I would say that catalysts are the most affordable thing related to artifacts.

    Keep in mind catalysts also drop so you wouldn't be purchasing ALL that you need for a breakthrough like you would for artifacts.

    This is also true. Also, if people feel that the breakthroughs will be too much trouble, we could always not have a ceiling until they reach the very last available level of the augment.

    So from augment level 0 all the way to 119 without a breakthrough? But when you reach the last available level then you need to break it trough to max it out.

    Hopefully they think about this before the new episode comes out.
