About earth!!

    yep, that i said
    earth is not easy too make high damage
    why im choose earth??
    clz no why .
    im just like earth
    so many people choose rage or Celestial
    CLZ can make good damage
    but for me is boring !!
    u choose that good power and make good damage
    so wt?
    op power, dosn;t mean should choose it
    im like earth power style so im choose earth

    What.....sorry just trying to understand. But if it asking what power I like, then that goes to 3 powers. In no particular order although I put earth on top cu it's my fab. But earth, quantum and rage are my favs

    I'm totally with you, LXC. IMHO, Earth is one of the most fun powersets to play and has some of the best animations (my alt Frooty Pebbles has since usurped NuclearWinter's spot as my main character). Unfortunately, it's so unbalanced compared with the other powers that many players have switched away from it, and it's to the point that Earth has almost become something of a laughing stock as a DPS powerset option.

    I'm not claiming to be a 'beast' with any role or power (ask my leaguemates and they'll tell you, lol), but all the same I do know what I'm doing (I have a solid loadout & power rotation, I know how to clip, etc.). I also don't care too much about where I place on the scorecard except to make sure I'm at least ahead of the support roles; I figure I compensate for my relatively low damage output by picking up fallen group-mates, moderating my power use so healers and tanks don't run dry, etc. That said, though, it gets pretty discouraging at the end of a raid to not just be 3rd place but a DISTANT 3rd place, esp. behind Celestial, Rage, Hard Light, and whatnot.

    I know there's plenty of talk about achieving "balance" among the weapons and powers in DCUO, and I understand there's no real way to agree on what exactly "balance" means (there's a pretty lively thread on that topic). On the other hand, there seems to be pretty clear consensus among forum posters that Earth (along with Electricity) powers fall significantly short of the others in terms of damage-out potential. While I appreciate that you tweaked Reinforce to be a %-based Prec buff instead of just the flat 115 boost, but even with that it underperforms. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy Earth and will continue to run with it, but would you at least consider giving it another look? Whether it involves reconfiguring base damage, cooldown times, or whatever, the Earth set still needs some retooling in order to be commensurate with the other powers.

    I would hope that they change either the base damage or the cast times (my personal favorite suggestion). I have NEVER seen anyone use UPHEAVAL except to test it and see it is too SLOW. Changing the cast time of it and its aftershocks into something even a tank would use is a step in the right direction.

    Also, I worry about Brick/Crystal being less cool/popular with the new Sorc pets coming out. That new Guardian is pretty tough compared to brick and Crystal doesn't pull of any numbers like the New Fury does. I suggest that any tank bubble (HL shield or Gemstone shield, for example) should also go on Brick and provide him the same type of protection that the Tank is getting. As for Crystal, I wish she was setting up PIs for the DPS side of Earth. Perhaps doing a Crushing or Dazed rotation of her own. If she does this already, my apologies, I rarely use her as I never saw the point. I think Damage Shift should NOT be used in DPS stance the way it is.It should actually BUFF the pet's damage (Brick OR Crystal).

    Also, I wish I could get the Robot Sidekick and use him in Tank/DPS stance with pet powers like damage shift and totem. Would be a nice change of pace and would let my "pet" be a ranged pet if I so choose.

    I don't know Mike, he said "clz no why", but that doesn't make much sense ya know? Maybe he linked it with his accent when he said it in English. Celeszial, I don't know lol It wasn't really made clear but oh well, at least we're trying to understand him.

    Anyways. OP, if you're good with Earth, just ignore what people say. A wise man speaks because something has to be said, a fool speaks because he has to say something. If you want, you can speak in your native language if it's easier because I'll just go to google translate to help you out because you're kinda hard to understand. I want to help, but it's hard to.

    A good player and produce high damage with any power but that doesn't mean that all power produce the same result. Right now Earth struggles with it's ability to apply PI which takes too long to activate. Rumblecrush is highly unreliable to apply crush so i use a daze loadout instead but even then using Stone as the primary PI still takes a long animation, the only other daze effect is from unstoppable but then again why would earth melee dps? The only solution i can see here is revamp the moves that apply crush, and maybe daze, to something quicker and Upheaval definitely needs a faster cast time or higher damage like any other combo power. As much as i love to use upheaval for dps , it's too slow and it makes earth unreliable as a prec or hybrid (prec might) dps , right now earth is might base because the only prec moves are gemstone shield, upheaval and jackhammer all of which are unreliable to use constantly.

    Another downside to Earth DPS is the stationary powers, specifically Debris Field, Jackhammer and Totem. Because enemies can move or be pulled, they can move outside the range of these powers. Unless you are flight and can hover above the tank you aren't going to max out your damage with these abilities. Also, Earth only has DoTs in the Geo tree which has the worse PI. This is part of why it was failing in T5. If Formula of Crushing wasn't a melee range PI applicator, Earth could do a lot more range attacks on mobs and just do away with Rumblecrush.
