What if DCUO allowed you instead of transfering your character say from PS to XB. It allowed you to transfer all your SP along with those feats of course, everything in your storage and all your money as well as the current set of or armor youre wearing. But the catch is you can only do it once per set of characters and for only 2 characters. Example being I have a hero on PS and a Hero on XB I can only transfer once to them no more forever to that character. You cannot transfer between heros and villains. Maybe there is a price for it too like $15 discount for Legendary who could use loyalty points on it too. Thoughs?
Transfers don't work with this game because at the end of the day your money goes to different people. If you play on PC you pay whoever gets that chunk of change- hence why you can't transfer since it would money away from them. If you play on Playstation your chunk of change goes to PSN -hence why you can''t transfer since it would take money away from them. If you play on Xbox your money goes to Microsoft- hence why you can't transfer since it would take money away from them. You have to keep in mind while you're giving money to Daybreak, Daybreak probably has to pay a fee for each "client" or however the whole shabang works (at least that's what I'm guessing based off of what I have read over the years). In short transfering can't happen in this game because money flows differently depending on what system you're playing on.
It would boil down to the same reason PlayStation players can't unlock content for PC players and PC players can't unlock content for PlayStation players. In order to make what you want happen Sony and Microsoft would essentially be losing out on potential purchases from their storefronts. It would be viewed as you unlocking a foreign characters feats instead of electing to unlock your own local characters feats. The potential for abuse would be there too. For example instead of link your PSN/XBL account with your Daybreak account you could, in theory, link it to another players Daybreak account that looks like your account from the account details. This would essentially allow them to gain feats they didn't earn. Now of course this also means you lose out but in the long term it means that only a single player in the pair has to complete a feat who then "magically" shares it with someone who never met the challenge of completing the feat (whatever that challenge may be).
I don't understand why you would put restrictions on this idea. Even so, this sounds more complicated than just cloning a toons info altogether (aside from name issues). But no. No company is going to be interested in letting a customer go to another platform.
