A simple solution to put an end to the stat clamp !

One shotting things did have it's fun moments for the older crowd that's not the issue.

Ultimately the reason why the clamp is not enjoyed by the people who refuse to run EEG content (or just avoid specific instances) is the fact that content is far harder now than it is when it was current, due to how the clamp is implemented.

Based off the majority of what I've played since I've been back, T5 stuff is in the worst shape (I do know their are other areas that need adjustments... probably the darkseid factory raid... but thats just after I got in from an omnibus queue I looked at the revolving door of a scoreboard, time stamp and while I was laughing and figuring out life, thing got disbanded... but again didnt fully try it myself... and I had ran that when it was current) but that doesn't mean everything is solid...

For example, how many Atlantis raids got completed when it was in the spotlight? Anyone know... I'd argue at least when the Titans (and I'm also not saying that one doesn't need some adjustments because it does) was in spotlight I at least finished those raids a few times... not so with Atlantis.

Then why is everyone "expected" to get their arts/augs/allies up in order to be "accepted" (i.e, not kicked from instance) in said [DELETED] content? :p

Many folks been saying to "git gud" by leveling up such things in order to do better in that content, but how can another say it actually doesn't help much (if any)? In terms of min-maxing, one would think you would need to max all that stuff to be able to at least be partially content or tolerate the insufferable content lol (as in, put up with running it at all).

Idk man, always seemed like they sold the stats back to us to me. Just an inadvertent/unintended side effect of the system's implementation.

Edit: Heck I lost count on these forums the amount of times people have suggested getting old episode augments, specific to that episode, to even beat it (or have an easier time).

What happened to the Voodoo magic number crunching “Stat Piercing”? Thought this mysterious percentage of Auguments, Artifacts and Stat Points was used in EEG content to {giggles} help us feel stronger. Lol!

You realize the kick if don't have "X" has been in the game even before CR was a thing, right? Come to HQ to be inspected. You must be this tall to ride. It's funny, that's also not a problem caused by the 3 year old system.

Naw, they are not selling us back our stats. They are selling us more stats. There is a huge difference, but that system really doesn't affect EEG. That's the most recent 3 episodes.

You want to know what upsets me about selling us something? Controller role. The artifacts give controller abilities that should have been standard for the role, but because it was shoehorned in right before launch, it gets added later via artifacts. No other role has that in terms of artifacts. All they get are assisting their already set powers, controllers have to open their inventories over and over.

I know you are trying to be funny, since I was so adamant about getting the numbers fixed for EEG Elite, but the devs that were working on it are gone and I give up. Elite needs to be successful in EG, otherwise it's a lost cause in EEG. Reg there has been no problems with piercing, even at it's reduced state (elite there is full piercing). So, I don't know what everyone is complaining about. The content gets relatively nerfed going into EEG. They remove extra stats and set the enemies to a specific number. Yes, there are a few content that are not balanced well, but we could have said that about older content outside of the new system as well.

Yes, but it was NEVER as horrifically atrocious as it is now. No one wants to be bothered with lowbies in ANY content whatsoever, not just the new end game stuff as it used to be.

More stats IS in a way selling stats back to us. Making us weaker with the only way of getting stronger is tied behind potential monetized systems, that is exactly what selling stats to us entails.

Forgive me, but when did you start playing? It was so bad when I started that when I found a good league, I stopped actively pugging. I know you play on the Xbox, so it might have started getting to the state it was on the PC platform. (Which was before the crossplay for PS.)

It's not selling back to us, it's a power creep. Gotta make it shiny to sell. Why we haven't gotten new powers, they weren't shiny enough. Unless you are going with the stats revamp, again, I don't know when you started, but that wasn't really a nerf either.

Power Creep? As when they made new power that did more damage and players buy it and later devs nerf it?
    X Several times.

2018, it wasn't that bad of an issue. Never was, unless you wanted to get into end-game elite. Now? People will inspect you in tier 4 and kick you if you don't have good artifacts. LOL.

Power creep? Sounds like the same thing. Made everyone weaker just to have them say "get these shiny things to be more like you used to be". Selling stats back.

That happened a lot. Did you know that they had to implement a delay on kicking and the 3 hour timer because players were kicking instances just not being in the role they wanted before you even zoned in. Not a healer, kick. Not a healer, kick. Not a healer, kick. Funny, so many times was I kicked and I was just doing solos in DPS stance and would have gone healer. Toxic behavior is a mindset, not a gameplay problem. Usually created by one or few selfish individuals that causes it to spread.
Okay. I know better than to get into a circle conversation about semantics.

Believe it or not, that really didn't happen but once. (Electric.) The rest were across the board adjustment or were a F2P power like Sorcery. The biggest offender being the animation normalization and jump cancelling update that was right before Weapon Mastery. That hurt EVERYONE and still felt today, tbh.

But selling power creep is a real thing. Which is why artifacts tend to outdo the previous one. Though, there has still been a few that been holding their own place on your 3 slots, like Trans.

Soooo here's the thing.... I've seen it (by both devs and people repeating what the devs have stated) that powers don't sell... However, everything I've seen at this point falls at the companies feet... and its the fact of how they are viewing their cost of creating x power to how they justified viewing its score.Which is also a problem because I honestly can't believe this company ever actually did that correctly.

In order to use said new power, you either had to buy the power (in F2P, premium case), sub up and create a character with the power, or buy a power token. Also, due to implementation of this system people could have used loyalty points (if they had any left over and were subbed up) to buy the power and need to skip any of the other various avenues.

New powers/systems, often draw people to games... and based off the fact that I can't state that the company was actively viewing all the things necessary (or account for how the systems they already set up messed with everything) that really us ot having a powers has everything to do with the company being at fault.... but their's a bunch of that already, right :p

I wasn't consciously on that and more subconsciously on players complaining about nerfs.

    Sorry, but you're wrong...

Absolutely no one was kicking players waiting for a healer, or any support role for that matter, for content outside the relevancy window pre-clamp... and I've been here since launch off and on.

That's what this is about. No one is talking about Early End Game now versus End Game before. It's EEG now versus old content outside of the relevancy window before.

If you were kicking anyone in content outside of the relevancy window, you were either:

    A) A complete *******.
    B) Trying to get rid of another complete *******.

There was no reason to kick, if you had one person in the group at least 3 DLC's ahead, you were pretty much getting through it no problem.

It's different now. People are kicking players in outdated content due to whatever reason they see fit, which seems to be anything that they perceive to make the run take longer than it should (which is already too long to begin with...).

You and I played two different games I guess. It was out of hand. You would not even get to say or change roles before you saw the loading screen. Spytle went on the record about it. It's why you have to wait 5 minutes before you can vote kick. It's why you get the massive kick penalty.

But it's okay, I don't feel like arguing about the past. I'm not up to defending or arguing or going against anything right now. There was a change recently that launched today that I think is far worse than anything that is argued in this thread.

    Bye.
  15. Grim931 Committed Player

We didn't. And I'm not trying to argue. I'm just trying to clear things up.

At least answer this, what content was it where people were getting kicked before even loading in?

In said content, was anyone in the raid already that was beyond that content's relevancy window by at least 3 DLC's worth of CR?

If you answered yes to the second question, the first was likely to have not occurred.

Also, completely agree with you on the other changes. This game is headed in the wrong direction, and there's probably no saving it at this point.

We need to go back to the way things were, when nobody had to learn mechanics or put in effort because some higher-CR ********* would just 1-shot entire raids. Ah yes the golden days, where *playing* a game was an unthinkable concept, where *trying* was for losers, and where nobody could progress to higher CR simply because nobody was queued for any of that low-CR content /s

It always blows me away how easy it to identify the clowns that are here just to antagonize everyone else. The same names pop up every time someone wants to champion making the game worse
