A Request for Holly leaves and Future Bonus Seasonal Currency weekends.

So ever since the introduction of Large Content and Large Events into DCUO, we've had a number of bonus currency weekends for almost everything PVE.

We've had Bonus Ancient Coins weekends, Bonus Qwardian Crowns weekends, Bonus Spores weekends, Bonus War Bonds weekends, Bonus Marked Bill weekends, Bonus marks of victory weekends, and recently Bonus Ultrabuck weekends. We've even had a Bonus Stabilizer fragment weekend at one point as well.

So we've pretty much had it apply to the vast majority of DCUO's PVE content all expect for the Seasonal Events. And the thing is: seasonal events are a time when you actually need to grind for alot of currency to get the items and feats you desire. Since we're about to end the year of 2017, I think it would be nice if we closed off 2017 by introducing bonus currency weekends into all the Seasonal Events heading forward starting with the Holly Leaves.

Please let me know if you're down for these two ideas.

I will support this if they increase the cap of seasonal marks or increase the vendor costs so we have something to spend our capped marks on. A single new totem for 100 marks is easily gained back up in ten days (or in this seasonals case, seven days). The prices are extremely generous and it makes little to no sense to have a bonus weekend otherwise.

I may be wrong but i cant remember having a bonus weekend for LPVE aswell not that i would participate anyway, just saying

I dont think its necessary since one can trade most stuff between alts but why not more is always better than less right ?

What about all those currency from old episodes , will there be a bonus weekend for those ever again or do we get bonus weekends only for current episodes?

^^^ I remember they did have an extra PvP Mark event years ago.

Usually, the extra Marks are only for current content. But they did change an event a few months ago and included Amazon Coins to the Special Forces and MoV.

I would suggest the only difference between the events that you mentioned & the traditional seasonals is that they sell seasonal currency on the MP, which is probably why this hasn't been done.

I think I'm in the minority with this school of thought but I actually wish they wouldn't have bonus weekends for the latest currency. Old currency to help people catch up sure, but I think these bonus currency weekends lead to peaks & troughs in the population. I'd rather have a busier everyday population than everyone spamming the latest dlc at the beginning & during these weekends. Alas people spam replays at the beginning (no changing that) & during these weekends, & then they have less reason to log on the rest of the time. I'm sure it works for short term financial gain but for sustained healthy population, not so much.

Honestly, I find the 16 Marks / day during the current seasonal very generous. Previous events only had 10 marks per day as far as I remember. Actually I'd be fine if they increased all the seasonals daily marks to 16.

I'd love a bonus double Holly weekend. I need a lot of Holly for the feats I never got. It sucks to play catch-up.

Im sorry i just dont see the need for this. I started playing in 2015 and have missed the last 2 christmas events because of life happening. Right now i am premium and dont have access to replay badges. I do the event every day and if i would have used my points for the current feat (some holiday elf style) i could have easily had it by now. Instead i have went back and completed 2 full years worth of collections. There are almost 2 weeks of this event left plenty of time for me to start now and get the collection for the feat. If you are like me and trying to catch up from nothing then a few extra holly leaves would be nice. If you are someone who was caught up last year then you have probably already gotten the stuff from this year and have quit doing the event already. All this would do is make it so people who are behing get all the stuff and hit the "im bored and there is nothing to do" stage quicker

Why do they do bonus marks weekends anyway?

I would think, they do them to help increase the end-game population in hopes of bolstering the low population of players that could even get into the upcoming newer content.

If that is true, why do we need the bonus mark weekend for seasonal and holiday events.

Uh oh, nevermind, I see, somebody wants something for nothing, via not having to run the events daily or buying the extra marks in the MP.

Funny how that works we demand they put something in the MP worth buying other than RB, then we cry because we have to buy a product from the MP that they put up for sell.

Having extra marks is good, why not have the bonus weekend for seasonal currencies.
