A request and suggestions for an Earth Artershock AM

    Earth main mechanic from launch was supposed to be it's aftershocks. I'm not content to have to use a cut/paste wm rotation (set PI> buff>aoe dot>wm> burst etc) to do a decent amount of damage. Pet AM is too unreliable as the pet does not attack where and when you want it too.
    We need to bring aftershock dps back into play as the main reason to have an earth toon.

    Had to take a mini vacation, but I'm back! This idea seems to popular and too easy to not happen. Id really like to see something, maybe a dev discussion, get started soon on this idea.

    I'm sure Devs have looked this over. With the amount of views this thread too other players have interest in this too even if they're not posting.

    I honestly think the next update should focus on fixing pvp side and broken powers like earth and others.

    I think it has close to the same if not the same range of emp already. It has the same range as tectonic break, the problem is just that the AS don't do enough damage to justify their use.

    That's why I think lace dogs idea for a hold melee for bigger damage is great

    Yeah good idea but i think we should give up its kinda obvious that devs are not paying attention to earth users put your self in there place and say why pay attention to the power that has the lowest population , they gave us a buff than they nerf it and made it useless again.

    I assume by buff you mean our am? Cause earth is great with wm... Pet am was useless before it even hit live.... The thing us before all thus wm stuff the sorcery pets were keeping up with celestial rage and hardlight ... But seeing hiw the damage from the pet isn't really increasing I can see where we'd have an issue now if wm was never introduced and people were still playing as they were last year...

    The devs have plenty on thier plate, I wouldn't say they don't care about earth users. There is still quantum and celestial screaming for attention and all the other AMs that have been recently released, new UI etc etc. If we keep this aftershock AM idea rolling they may just think 'hey this idea might work'
    The lack of a green name commenting on here should not dishearten us cos Lacedog's idea is worthy of consideration.

    I'll just say this. It has been seen by a green name. The idea has been acknowledged. And it's supposedly being put on the "back burner" until they have time to get to it. Very understandably so.

    With that said, we may not get exactly what we are looking for. We may never get anything. But it doesn't hurt to continue to show this idea support by hitting the like button on the first post and by continuing to share ideas on how to make this work.

    im not begging. no one should be. i dont want to sound rude, but if you think thats what this thread is about, then politely move on. this thread is not to complain about what we do or dont get, or what another powerset does or does not get. its to come up with enough support to show the devs that its something they should jump on board with and get created. its also a place to share ideas about how to actually make this mechanic.

    I messed around with ice's new mechanic. I don't see why it can't be as easy to set up the aftershock am as ice's. And in damage stance I don't see why jackhammers cooldown is so long. Like rage, I understand from a tanking standpoint. But also like rage, they've proven they can adjust cooldowns depending on the stance you are in.

    I'm thinking we can make this a pure aftershock mechanic. Meaning you wouldn't need to use your weapon at all if you don't want to, like ice, fire, etc....

    Basically with my original idea in mind, you would hit tectonic break* clipped with unstoppable to start off your pi and power back mechanic, and you could either hit upheaval or jackhammer and then use the new hold aftershocks 3x then either move on to another aftershock power or just hit the same power again.

    A couple things I think really should happen to improve earth as a whole, and also help in creating this mechanic...
    -Swap reinforce, striking stones, and rumble crush counter clockwise from their current positions in the geo tree. This would allow those who want to continue to use the current crush wm to continue as is while allowing aftershock users to grab reinforce much easier.
    -both totem and tectonic break should spawn on your target at max range.
    -Totem would then behave like fire's overheat, staying with your target until they die or the cooldown is reached. This would benefit both dps' and pet tanks.
    -*tectonic break becomes the go to dazed pi spreader. Simple as that.

    I like your idea... but i would rather tectonic break not be just a pi spreader....

    i know ive revised what id like out of earth after shocks so many times..but here i go again haha...

    im gonna go power by power..

    Remove Daze PI entirely from Earth... Crushed is the new single pi for earth..

    Stone: Works like sticky bomb in gadgets, it hits 8 targets while also applying the crushed pi... The animation can stay the same or they can make it like a "grenade lob" as if you were throwing a rock at someone...

    Tier 1 powers
    Shards: swapped from geokenisis with pebble blast, now after shockable. You can tap 3 times for smaller ticks ..or hold melee for one large tick

    Epicenter: Does exactly what it does now..

    Localized Tremor: does exactly what it does now...

    Tier 2:
    Upheaval: 3 Taps for what it does in damage now..or three hold melees for harder hitting ranged damage...

    Gemstone shield: Fine as is

    Unstoppable: I want it to work like lacedog describes it being the move we use for power back mechanics

    Tier 3 (bottom tier):

    Tectonic break: There are two ideas i have for it..the second is the one im leaning more towards....
    Idea 1:.. Make this a 1 time hold after shock for massive aoe burst 1 time hit (everything infront of it) damage from long range

    Idea 2: I have mentioned this before, Make this like plague in a way, After shock it by holding melee and it lays down an aoe dot to all targets infront of you(this way we can get away from using debris field in the seismic tree... )

    Jack Hammer: I like lacedogs idea...

    Sandblast: Leave it as is or swap it out for something like rage..i dont use it so i dont care haha...
