A Note on the Booster Bundle’s Auras

It's not that they put a gun to their heads or not, first let me just say the fact that u said u have ur 2 smoke auras and ur good proves to me that if the tables were turned whether u spend 10 or 50 u won't be as quiet and against what others are saying. 2nd ppl have been Askin for a black aura for awhile and this how they introduce it why? Because in all honestly dc have lost some players NOT for good, but because of other games but they will be back. Some spent 20 some over 200, and most of those who spent that much have gotten multiple auras of the same which are orange or red plasmic. That what makes it unfair. Ot would be understandable if once u got a red or any color it will cycle through the rest of the colors random but at least the ones u get will be out thw list until u go through all auras.

You know I'm not bashing you or anything, so don't take it to the heart. But every1 that comes here who got the smoke always and I mean always and I seen it in other threads when older boosters were available, come here and say exactly what u just said, but the second you get screwed like all the rest, your one of the ppl here complaining. Now I know the word CHANCE gets thrown a lot but if u open the marketplace and highlight the bundle I don't see that advertised, unless u click on it and go into the next page and read every single word which yes most of us HAVE to do so we know what we gettin. But when the main page doesn't say it and u don't need to read more because u know what ur getting ppl go ahead and buy and find out later ohh it's a CHANCE to get it. Either way it's wrong that's my opinion

What I really wish they'd do is when u do get the bundle, and the aura box, once u click it, just like switching power token should allow u to CHOOSE which aura u want, but as SoE are only lookin for ways to dig in our pockets and while we look like the bad guys because we come complain here, on the end they are the ones who are. I know they need to make money I'm all for it I like this game and will support it from time to time, but the way the head towards a certain thong sometimes, feel like a chicken is running wild without its head and just aim for THEMELVES

I spent $85 on 11 booster bundles (buying in bulk FTW) and I didn't get a smoke aura and I agree with him 100%. I didn't get "screwed", I didn't get "duped", I didn't get "hoodwinked". The booster bundles are a bundle of marketplace items with a BONUS aura. If people are buying it simply for the aura and gambling on it being the smoke one then that's on them.... Everyone keeps forgetting that these are tradeable, you don't even need to buy a single booster bundle for a chance at one, just farm in the game and either buy for one, or find a rare item someone else wants and trade for one.

I farmed like crazy with my scanners and got a smoke aura after not getting one in any of my aura boxes. Then after I researched it my loyalty points came and I was able to buy another ones from the Skeets vendor and luckily got a second smoke now to hold and sell at a later date.

My guess is eventually we will see the auras make their way into the marketplace as standalone purchases (might be as early as next bundle).

There will just be too many auras out by then and they won't keep watering down the bundles with them. Think about the next bundle, we will get an exclusive aura like we always have, then there will be two smoke color variants, and likely the remaining auras will be all the colors of Nimbus aura (including red and green from this bundle). I'm guessing at that point all the colored plasmics will see their way onto the marketplace and they'll see how they sell individually.

IKR the prices are of the charts on USPC, thats why i don't move to USPC. 40mil is enough to buy any new exclusive upcoming aura in the next Booster Bundle on EUPC people there are greedy thats why im in the win on EUPC server since in week i can get 100mil if i choose so.

I hope so to a black Nimbus would be great, i got smoke but it feels to slim i want it kinda like Nimbus like that covers me like a flame a black flame kinda like this

if something similar comes out i'm gonna buy a buttload of them just to get it if i don't i will sell the auras and get it that way.

I might have not explained right lol or u just didn't get what I was trying to say. First the way the advertise is is horrible IMHO, 2nd I'm saying ppl want these specific auras, so instead of making them CHANCE or bonus, they could either
A. Add a token aura like power switch and let u choose, whicch aura u want.
Or
B. Add them in MP for 10 bucks or 10bucks. Ppl been Askin for black aura for awhile and it's kinda of slap in the face the way they try to skeem us buy spending all this money to gamble on the aura we WANT and ask for.

I do realize the bundle is for the market place items but besides the small grp of ppl actually care for the Mp items, do u think ppl buy them for that or the auras lol?? I have smoke aura I have original plasma and nimbus. I'm just saying that they have a bad habit of giving us something we ask for but first thwy got to make their money by adding it in the booster bundle which a GAMBLE or CHANCE of getting anything good. I kbow someone who spent over 300 yes it was his choice no one forced him but 300 bucks to get about 30ish boxes and got 25 orange plasmic lol, 4 green nimbus, and red plasmic.

As I stated buying that many boxes and opening them thwy should of added a feature where if the buyer got a certain aura the next box won't have that aura and will randomly give u one of thw others or at least after 3 in a row of the same aura the next box will be a different aura.

Honestly we all can keep going back and forth, I say this u say that he says this, in the end the one thing SoE and dc Universe do horrible is the way the cater to us, they have to find a way to screw us make their money.

Again I realize it's mp items first and only CHANCE to get aura, but dc is known for their horrendous drop rates, we all know why, in raids so we can keep buy replays to do the raids again, same case here with the auras. That's why they "accidentally" supposedly added the red and blue plasmic to this bundle.

I always get what i want in the end just takes time, but i get it everyone and everything has a price they will surrender for you just have to reach the point money where they will surrender.

Nope plasmics are NEVER going on the MarketPlace, well at least red and blue plasmics.....

Read the OP...The devs already backtracked by releasing red and blue plasmics again when they were rightfully thought to be exclusive to the last bundle. I doubt they break their word again and put them in the MP when they EXPLICITLY stated that the red and blue plasmic are exclusive to only booster bundles....there is no way that can be misconstrued...

Makes no sense and the backlash for breaking their word a second time would not be quelled by "it was a misunderstanding"... Aha

What the **** you can buy smoke aura from skeets vendor that's BS, i got my smoke from a friend if there where loyaltiy points in PC buy and give my friend it he is premium he can't buy the box spent all his monthly cash his parents give him that sucks.

No, I understood you and just disagree. There's no need to make there be a way to acquire an exclusive aura for $10 or a aura token. Look at all the people who spent a bunch of money on a chance for one. They would've only gotten $10 from those people instead of whatever they spent trying to get it.

The fact is the booster bundles sell a TON, and you can basically guarantee they'll continue dropping the exclusive auras in bundles like this.

True, they likely wouldn't put the blue and red in there, but they could add the purple they missed and maybe make another shade and then toss them into the marketplace. Might be a good way to see how individual auras sell and then they could see about selling them in the future that way, although I don't think they'll stop with the booster bundles....

I used my loyalty points for a booster bundle, I got lucky and got a smoke aura in it. You get loyalty points on PC don't you?

Oh on pc we get Station Cash or SC for short yeah i bought 4 bundles didn't get aura but friend 1 gave me one for free and friend 2 got pissed at me for a while but when he asked how i got it, i told him. He then wanted me to ask my friend if he can have it to for free naive guy i asked, he told me it was only because we are friends since childhood and no way is he giving it way for free he bought 30 bundles he got 4 smokes one for me 2 for himslef and the other he sold for a wopping 40mil.I hate that they made it Exclusive thats it if it was a recuring thing like once a month i would be fine with that and if eventually they would release them MP but ah they are kinda jerks that way.

i agree with you 100% i'm one of the unlucky ones that gets screwed every year last year i got 17 booster packs and only got 3 red plasma auras the rest were just reg auras this year i got 13 booster packs and got 1 green nimbus and 1 red nimbus the rest were plasmas lucky for me this year i only wanted the red nimbus for my rage toon so it worked out ok but it would be nice if you could just pick what aura you wanted because i really do hate gambling

Yes, it's a huge profit-center for DCUO. Business are in business to do business.

Good luck getting that changed just because you want things. Businesses will continue to be in business to make money. Businesses are strangely uninterested in people being disappointed that money is asked for.

Well the best thing to do from now on either don't support it and just farm exo and get enough to buy just the ONE u want or only buy 1 or 2 and just take ur chance and don't buy no more whether u get one that u wanted or not. I for one will probably but one max or nothing at all, just farm exobits till I can afford 1, that's how I been doing it really. I buy 1 then sell the aura it came with farm a little more than buy the ones I need. I have the smoke, original plasmic and nimbus and bought all of them since my luck is as good as any other
