A Note on the Booster Bundle’s Auras

This is nothing personal but a SOE gimmick to somehow absolve itself of potential liability.

Why can't Mepps or some Dev retract the 'never' part and bring back the auras as they have done so with red and blue plasmic?

Now before I get flamed, I didn't buy 200bucks worth but I did buy about 20bucks worth actually 30 I had about 750sc so I added about 20bucks to buy 3 in total. I got 2 red plasmic and one green plasmic, I think that's a total BS and slap in the face. If u get a aura from the box they should of had some sort of coding where it recognizes u have that aura from that bundle and will not drop again unless u keep buying and went through all the auras at least ONCE.

Some ppl been Askin for certain auras and this how we get treated and taken care of, if that idea in first paragraph is too much then why not once u open the BB ull get a aura token and YOU GET TO CHOOSE which aura u want just like when u get the power respec token? Is it that hard? U guys will still get money and ppl won't sell in the broker for that high so others who have in game money but not a lot of real world money can afford to buy it as well?? Oh who am I kidding, u guys think about nothin but thw funds in ur pockets

And honestly I blame us the community maybe just maybe for once, only one time ppl we should ALL not buy a BB from them next time so they can get the message? But that'll never happen because we will get suckered into the hype again, buy crap load of BB and come here and complain. These auras should be at least 5bucks on the MP or 750 SC or somethong so we all can get it and actually come through once in awhile to make us happy? U know, the ppl that are supporting ur game

The same reason the Infamous "Batman-Inspired Mask" will never have it's "never" removed. There may have been a miscommunication between Mepps and the other Devs, but I don't think Mepps ever said the word "Never" in the earlier quote. Never is never is never-_-. Original Plasmic is bland anyway. You still have a chance to save up for the Original Divine-looking Nimbus. That's what I had to do.

That's exactly what I expected to hear. Some items which are exclusive and are limited editions should not be sold again.
The pre launch bundle, the batman mask, the original plasmic, etc. are limited edition offerings. The same was applicable to the previous Booster Gold Bundle where the plasmics and the nimbus aura were supposed to be limited editions but such is not the case.

SOE has mislead player community with its current rollback and re-released the limited edition items. I had held on 2 red and 1 blue plasmic auras from before which were rendered useless.
Also, I have every aura in the game (in multiples). During the last sale, I spend over $ 400 on Booster Gold Bundles and acquired 5 nimbus auras (which I sold out eventually).

Bottomline: SOE should not have released the Red and Blue Plasmic Auras again and they should have stayed as limited editions. If Mepps made a mistake, then SOE should be held accountable for any miscommunication.

I got that!!!! I'm just saying it would be good if they were still in circulation in lockboxes instead of the OLD THICK AURAS besides in my opinion the original nimbus and plasmic auras still has some use when it comes to new characters.... if they're gonna toss any auras it should be the old thick auras and put the slim and original plasmic and nimbus auras in the lockboxes... like I said its just my opinion... take it or leave it ..

I have no problems with your idea except one. I would like SOE to refund me $800 ( along with interest) that I have spend on acquiring rare and limited edition auras in this game before these are introduced to lockboxes.

To put a different spin on the subject:

A lot of people seem to want the black smoke. Hell I'd love one, but I doubt I'll buy another bundle this time. My thought isn't about how much money is being spent, or the rarity of the aura, but my thought is what next?

The black smoke aura is this bundle's grand prize: a black aura, requested by many, at long last. But it won't be in the next bundle. I have the auras I wanted mainly (orange plasmic for my fire main, green plasmic for my lantern, but I don't like it on him) so what will be the grand prize next time? What could top the sought after black aura? What will be the "shut up and take my money" object next time?

Will there even be a "shut up" object next time?

It's not enough that we already get random gear drop ..???
Unique ring/head/neck gear ...???
Almost all this game mechanic is about random...

Because they'd be breaking their promise to all those who spent their money to buy something exclusive that would never again be available to others.

There's no reason they can't do Black Plasmic Aura, Black Nimbus Aura, plain Black Aura, and plain Slim Black Aura, even before they invent yet newer types of auras.

(Two-color auras, auras with sparkles, auras with electric crackle, auras with sound effects, rainbow aura, three or four-color auras, blinking auras, pulsating auras, singing & dancing auras -- okay, maybe not the last -- but there are many possible future types, most of which can also be Black.)

Their offer is perfectly fair: if you don't want to buy it, don't buy it. If you do, do. That's perfectly fair.

"I want another offer," on the other hand, is just that: a request for something you want because you want it. But you're not owed it, and there's nothing unfair about you not getting it.

I bought 10, never got one, I wont buy anymore bundles screw the aura, not worth more then $100, not to mention anymore extra $ I do get will go on replays.

I have all plasmic's, green nimbus, and I ended up trading 2 plasmic's and some bytes for that "kick me" sign so all in all I got my money's worth I think. But still I think instead of doing these bundles, they need to add the aura's to MP, have plasmic's at $7 a piece, and then the rare 1s at $10 even $20 a piece.

yea you dont have suckers spending 500 & ^ just for 1 aura. But at least you will actually have MORE ppl buying auras as they will get what they want.

I find it kind of funny and very sad that some people are more upset that the old auras are re-released than that the auras where in lotto boxes in the first place.

This post is stupid as hell, who cares if people get the auras so what that's great. It doesn't affect you so why complain about it ? Exclusive this exclusive that. Don't matter. Just go on with your game and leave this pointless matter alone.

Well, if you do not care about this thread, just go on with your game and don't come complaining about people expressing their opinions.

They have already broken the contract by re-releasing the so called exclusive auras again in this bundle.
