Hello fellow forum people! So, I haven't exactly played DCUO in some time mainly because once you're behind in this game it's nearly impossible to catch up (at least it's that way on USPC...). I was wondering since i recently got a PS4 (eh more like a few months ago...) should I give the USPS server a try? Is it way easier to get leveled up? I was just thinking since it's been a while a fresh start might do me good, but I don't want to jump into things too quickly and eventually drop it later and it will be just a big waste of time. Are there people doing all tiers of missions? Or is it just like USPC and everyone is just doing T5 and and above?
Join to an active league and you gonna be above 100 cr in a week with some effort, even without walks is easier to increase cr by just drops from instances and synthetic mods make even more faster the process, plus tradeable iconic gear.
After playing on PC for a little over 2 years I started on PS4 about 3 months ago Made a villain to join a lot of friends I've made on the Forums in a league called Apathy. I'm up to CR 102 now, but am working on my SP before I go into the newest content. Amazon content is easy. Disappointingly so. But it will give you the chance to catch up if you do it before the next DLC! And, if you make a villain, PM me or post your name... I'll always run anything when asked, unless I'm already in something else, so I'll be happy to help. As for "all tiers" of missions... You won't see many LFGs for Khandaq, but if you queue, you usually get a group before too long if you give yourself enough options with alerts and raids when you queue...
I leveled up a toon from scratch in about a week. it helps if you are legendary and have access to your money and buy and sell stuff from the broker. There are tradable CR 52-64 rated items that you can buy in the broker to get your toon's CR into the 60's as soon as you hit level 30. That will at least get you into Tier 3. Me personally, I used replay badges and farmed the Police Station/Nightclub duo for Level 64 gear that drops there and then used Synthetic III mods to get my CR to 70, once you are in T4 it can be a little tricky because there aren't solos or duos, but there are daily missions and bounties that can be done that drop gear you can use. It takes a little time, but it can be done quickly
I'm not sure when the last time you played was, but catching up shouldn't be much of an issue now days. I took a break for a couple of DLCs (and before that break I wasn't highest tier) and I've had no problem getting to CR102, and I'm an extremely slow player. I did most of that solo and pugging, but if you have a league or can join a league it would be even easier. Finally, I'm on EUPC and had no trouble pugging most content (some things, like Bludhaven and Courthouse, were painful to find groups for), so I imagine every other server should be much easier in this respect.
I played on uspc for about 1.5 years give or take. It took me forever to gear up on there. I''ve been playing DCUO for around 4-5 months on ps4 and I was top tier in around 2 months. And I have twice as many skill points on ps. But I think its mainly because I understood the game a lot better when I got on ps4. But either way give it a shot. A fresh start could always be a nice way to try something new or re-experience the game.
Thanks everyone for your replies. It's been about 4 months? Maybe since I've played a lot anyways...perhaps longer but I'm not sure. I think I'll give USPS a try and see if I like it. I just kinda wanted to have a fresh start...I do realize that I can catch up easily enough but I'm not sure I want to on USPC anyways. I already have a power and a really cool name that isn't taken for it too, but you guys are still welcome to give some further advice on here if you wish, it's appreciated.
I play on USPS it's really easy to level up. I got two alts up from start to CR90 in a months time. People are still playing low tier content just queue up for on duty stuff and it shouldn't take long at all imho
You can lvl up very fast and then go back and get sp, yes you have like the entire server running top tier content but I was able to hit cr 86 from lvl 30 in 15 hours and that was with no help.
