I think I'll make a video of simpler rotations soon.

Basically anything that comes from PC seems to require 3 trolls to do and pug groups don't have that luxury more often than not.

Which would see a more significant dps increase for 20 seconds?

Using 540 might trinket before a series of weapon procs, dots, and small burst powers.

Or 592 precision trinket before weapon combos?

Hello all. Just created a character for the ice power set. Mainly for the purpose of becoming a tank. I don't know what is outdated, what is specifically for ps3 or Pc. Any tips or suggestions?

I just came back after a 5 month break. 99 cr, 120+ sp ice tank before I left. For the last couple of weeks, I've been running Nexus(kinda lazily)just getting back into the groove of things. Last night I was running in a PUG(I know...), and it was a little rough. We make it to the last room in pretty good time, fight starts, one of the bosses goes down, then everyone starts dying. This wasn't the inevitability attack, just seemed like the usual "oops, you're too close. oops, heals were slow. etc...so we wipe, and the guy who organized the run says I caused the wipe because winter ward drops all my aggro, AND being an ice dps, he should know. So, my question is, has something changed? Does winter ward wipe aggro now? It didn't seem to affect the other 4 nex runs I've done since I've been back.

As far as I know, and have seen myself, WW does NOT drop aggro...bosses have certain moves that randomly attack regardless if the Tank has aggro or not

i have a question is there any long range weapon that hasnt been nerfed i will say that ive been ice since beta and im kinda of getting tired of being kicked frm paradox my cr 98 sp 121 , if anyone has a video of long range ice dps i would like too see it .

Looking at your cr, i think you still close tunnels so this is a video of what i use in tunnels. I prefer to dps with ice over troll powers because it doesn't use too much power and i love the critical attack chances i get from ice bash/ice armor.

k, this is a very nice guide, it explains a lot about ice, but, I have a question, do the shields stack? and do using certain shields with each other cancel the buff?

Question for you fellow ice tanks. I have 146 skill points and I have been speccing to the following tier one skills: defense, health, dominance, and restoration. Then I have spent all of of my remaining points on movement mode inmates and tier two restoration. Am I placing too much emphasis on restoration? Should I spend those points into tier two health points?

I personally think its a matter of preference.
They both translate to the same thing. 42 HP/HP buffer Protection. Raw health or shield strength.
I typically grab both on the lower tier. /shrug

Started the game 3 years ago as Ice but changed a long way back because of how bad the dps side of it was compared to some others. My question is.... Since Ice got a make over, how good is it and can it top the charts consistently? I am thinking about going back to Ice to help out the league with tanking but I LOVE to dps too. I am pretty familiar w Ice from my past but its been over a year ez since I played it

The powersets are more even now because of the damage DW does. However, I would put Ice in the bottom 3 in terms of DPS'ing potential.

I personally love ice dps because everyone thinks it is so bad. I was rage but I felt like I was cheating, I cannot stand being any of the obviously overpowered powers anymore like Rage or Celestial; even nature and HL can be thrown in there but not to the same degree as the formers.

The loadout I run is WT-Snow Ball-Ice Bash-Frost Blast-Impaling Ice-Frost Snipe. In places like paradox and situations with alot of ads I will replace Snipe with Resonating Gale in the hallways then replace it back with Snipe when we get to the boss, but that is rare since I mostly spam,
Grenade/WT-IB-Grenade/FrostBlast-Grenade/Snipe-Grenade/Imapling-Grenade/Snipe-Grenade/Impaling. If its an AoE situation use Snowball instead of Snipe.
I run a Mix of might gear and Precision but mostly might, I mod my reds M&P and my yellows and blues with precision. Granted I don't have the best gear yet since I just started playing again, but still do pretty well.
I run the rifle and clip every grenade with a power, who doesn't like free 1k+ damage with no animation?

I cannot seem to decide if a supercharge will actually be worth it or not as I cannot seem to find a place in the loadout for it.

I want to try to make ice really good because the other powers are too easy to dps with and Ice has always had a special place in my heart.

Ice can easily top charts. I had great results with ice using this loadout:
    Resonating Gale/Ice Boulder Strike/Frost Snipe/Phase Dodge (and Karmic Hex)/Wintry Tempest/Ice Bash
Weapon: Hand Blasters (or Dual Wield when low mana)
AoE rotation: WT>IB>Karmic / WC>RG>PD / WC>IBS>PD (keep WT/IB always on CD, use Karmic instead of PD when possible)
Sigle rotation: just as above but using Frost Snipe instead of Resonating Gale
