2 must have fixes for sorc midrange update

I know this update is probably years away but I'm also sure its being worked on internally as well. First fix is that fury's big hit should never miss. This isn't acceptable at any level or with any other power set. If this is impossible to fix we need to get something like a time bomb mechanic where next power used will activate this big hit. Second fix is fury should never be using pulse beam with a full power bar. Again unacceptable with our am. I know weapons need to be updated for midrange and in imo elec/nature should be updated before sorc/earth but these are two bugs that need to be taken care of in 2020 when we get a finished midranged dps. These two bugs have limited effect in raids but really show up in a solo/duo setting. Fury missing is nearly always due to cc in my loadout its always from either scissor kick or transmutation. Would be nice to see adds get incapacitated like when crystal attacks in solo/duo content. Have little issue with crystals increased aggressiveness compared to fury because of sorcs increased dmg from dots and grand summoning.

Agreed, really irritates me when I see my fury has full power and I'm waiting for that big hit......and he starts zapping away with pulse beam

Gonna need the stun returned to Shard of Life too. It didn't make any sense at all to remove it then turn around and add stuns to other healer powers.

Yes to all. Fury needs to withhold any hold attacks and just tap range blasts, so when we need him to act, he's going to be ready. I'd say he can use transmutation just fine, since it's a burst line of sight bomb that works like mental's mass terror. Perhaps you can give him a modified version of vengeance that also detonates on the target as an AOE, since sorc isn't heavy on burst line-of-sight powers that hit multiple targets. If you could also remove the delay on rumble crush and shard so they also don't have a habit of missing, that'd be great as well.

Yeah, it was odd that nature's plant was able to stun targets while shard, already slow and prone to trigger lunging from the target before a follow up power could be set, was stripped. Bring the stun back. I'd say let rumble crush (which works exactly like shard), do the same thing, unless the delay time is removed and it can smack targets instantly, and Fury's projectile speed is also adjusted.

if sorc gets a better AI, then earth needs a grand summoning SC power then. IMO thats the trade off. slighty dumb AI for fury but summon all your pets as a SC.

Idk about the furys hit never missing. Im quantum and if the boss moves away from my time bomb i dont get the hit. Yea it has an aoe range but if the boss lunges across the room, which ive seen happen many many times, then nope dmg from time bomb is gone. If im atomic or ice and boss move from my range, same with mass terror, then no dmg. So if you are saying it shouldnt miss when u are near the boss and the boss is stationary then ok. But NEVER miss? Nah. Other powers miss. I think i know what u mean tho. Just want to be clear. U mean the silly miss when the fury is a foot from the boss and the boss doesnt move and the fury just misses like derp for no reason right?

I'd rather fury get an attack like Crystal's Epicenter.
    But yup. I agree.

And make the might damage matter more for Sorcery. It just makes sense. I'd like WoD to get the intimidation treatment when RSA is up.
add a small dot to burst moves or enhance the burst damage.

Yes point blank when you see the ball go over an adds head it happens to often. I play multiple powers and understand something that's a melee move missing when an add moves out of range but fury misses when I am being melee attacked by an enemy and that's unacceptable. Crystal never misses. Ever.

Not asking for anything unreasonable any player who plays both powers will tell you that with these two fixed crystal is still much more aggressive. Both of these are bugs similar to how emp wasn't registering pi's. You perform your am correctly and watch fury's big hit go over the head of your target. I don't think asking for fury's hits to register or asking that fury not constantly get stuck in a pulse beam with a full power bar was an intended dumbing down. But then again capping time bomb damage because you can't figure out how to stop exploits is a pretty lame "fix" as well.

Fury should use HBs Solar Flame or Meteor Blast instead of Pulse Beam for starters, that should make him more aggressive/responsive.

The missed balls usually register once the ball reaches the end of its travel, unless someone else, or your weapon attack, kills the target first. Something does need to be done about that though, he shouldn't miss compared to Crystal's trusty epicenter. Maybe have fury do a bursty aoe sorc move like shard or transmute instead?

Sometimes I'm pretty sure my fury was dropped on its head when it was a baby

In larger content these misses matter less because you get a delayed response but in solo/duo content when you are below suggested cr even slightly below a few seconds can be life or death. If you are being attacked by multiple enemies sometimes it only takes a few hits for death. I have seen multiple times where I am near death so I hit offering hold block and drop a supply only to see fury miss or get stuck on pulse beam and supply drops real nice for me when I rez.

If Time Bomb misses, you can just use another attack, even another Time bomb, and it will unload the damage of the missed Time Bomb in an AoE around the current target. Basically just continue your rotation, and the very next power you use, probably another Time Bomb, will unload the missed damage.

You forgot about nerffing GM. Thats too much for being a %50 Super, plus the head mod thats even more absurd.
  15. Captin Raptor Well-Known Player

Because my fury is border line ********, i use chrono emitters in almost all solos, duos, and alerts. Whenever i get to a group of adds i lunge at them and stun them with chronos. This way they dont get popped up and my furys blast doesnt miss, also it keeps them grouped togeather so it hits all of them at once since the blast radius is pretty small.

Adding the stun back to shard of life would be a huge help. Transmutation pops them up and causes furys blast to sail right under them.
  16. High Troller Loyal Player

Mass Hysteria for mental certainly does not need a nerf. Nor does the head mod. Kidding. Can we get rid of the might buffs healers give also? That doesn't do much for my Sorcery dps. 15% might buff is too powerful, considering it's a healer that gives it. Not many out there that give precision buffs.
  17. Swiftduck Loyal Player

even with these bugs and no mid range sorc still can top the charts.

now imagine they fixed those things without the proper nerf? lol say hello to the newest fotm

HL's precision buff is crying itself to sleep whilst collecting dust.

they need to add inspiration to our am ffs. That would solve some of that issue.

My wishlist for Fury update in 2017:

    1. Fury works EXACTLY as Crystal does.
    2. Fury hits crit damage.
    3. Fury does not absorb damage when you pop Offering, this is a bug that must be fixed.

    Would be interesting!
