Agreed, I'd prefer when folks don't quit before one match is even done. The "unbalanced" thing is an inconvenience, but maybe you shouldn't fight lair battles as a tank. That's like a healer saying "all of the Damagers I face switch to controller the moment they see me. It's unbalanced." Fight as Damage role and maybe more folks will stick it out. (Don't get me wrong, I want to see tanks in Lair Battles, but it might help your situation.)
I'd agree with you if not for the fact that you're 110% wrong. People aren't looking for balance they're looking for ease. And even then they aren't looking for ease they want to win by such a large margin that their opponent leaves after the first round.
Excellent post - I agree 100% with everything you posted. (Given my preference, I'd rather see the tank/healer core strength buff lowered, rather than the Damage/Controller buff increased.)
I would rather not have core strength lowered for tanks and healers, it might be over the top in 1v1 but in team fights like 5s it is needed for tanks to actually be any kind of threat in the dmg department or else everyone just laughs and shrugs off your dmg. Nothing sucks more then beating on players in group fights and see your dmg is basicly so minor you are like a small gnat.
Very good point, and this is another illustration of how hard it is to balance group pvp (4s, 5s, and 8s) with 1v1/2v2.
Some of us have actual lives we lead, not farming 14k marks for some damn item enhancements. The game should be made fun for everyone, not just the elitist community.
I think they need to lock players into the first round in lairs and after the first round if they want to leave they can and it still gives the win to the other player. I ran into a few quitters that if they couldn't burn me down after popping every HT trinket in the first round they quit.
I don't agree thanks either quit as soon as they see me in healer role or quit just as I'm about to kill them .
I was doing lair battle on my new alt. Being new accessing home turf stuff is hard especially when you don't have the mots to pay for it. She has only like 37 38 sps, so the damage is way to low even with t2 pvp gear. I was in a lair battle, the person won the first 2 rounds already with ease. 3rd round they decide to bring out body guards. Really? You won the first 2 rounds and pulling this off, I call that being a sore winner.
Yeah I hate fighting tanks especially when they're extra modded. I never run from a fight I stay and take a beating . I don't mind fighting trollers like myself or healers. I enjoy challenging fair fights. Also some type of reward for finishing the match from start to FIN, like when we were given 2 marks to tactics back in the day from a loss. That's why ppl run so much, they know they aren't going to win so they run because there are NO incentives for actually FINISHING a match!
This. Last night I got in a match with someone who was not as skilled nor as well equipped. They fought me until I had them at about 10% of their health, then they quit. Next match was a healer that cleaned my clock so I made sure to stay around long enough to give them the win they earned.
the most of us can accomplish in the game in a matter of minutes where it might take you hours. Having a life or not outside the game has no relevence to accomplishments. Example how long will it take you do do all t3 and t4 raids, all. it takes my league a matter of a few hours to do all

yes i got my whole league in this all you need to do is get through the first round, if he quits in the second the you still get win. dont be so obvious as this will be picked up on, figh in first round but do it noobish like
