EOG is getting changed

They nerf a lot SC before to justify EOG and now they nerfing artifact . In my opinion they just wana other artifacts to be nr 1 so people would spend money on seals, catalyst and XP . When people figure out whats the best artifact next they gona nerf it too or they gona made new better one .

From devs perspective its all about money and from cry babys perspective its all about they dont know there its always gona be some OP artifact beter then other to cry about .
From players perspective is all about to think is this game worth to play after actions like this i miss old exobytes system remember what devs did back then ? They turn everything " years of farming to 20 XP " and now they give us artifact system to drain money from players .

You might think nerfing this one artifact is not a big deal but it ***** is ! i change all my tank powers movement ( 5 of them ) to acrobatic becouse i like to have ( perfect poise ) SC after nerf are they going to give me 5 free movement mode tokens ? NO they wont ! also i made other artifacts like scrap of the soul cloack to work with EOG on many toons are they going to compensate it ? That would be like over 20 mil XP and a lot of seals catalyst i invest . Good luck with this im not going to play anymore .

My main frustration, which several other people have also stated in here, is that the developers knew they would be nerfing this artifact but did not see fit to let the player base know the extent or timing of the changes ahead of the double nth metal fortification week. I understand that they can change artifacts as they please (and I'm not against rebalancing the artifact in question), however I believe it was reasonable to expect timely communication around this and the opportunity to convert this artifact into something else at level ahead of the change going live.

I'm also not sure where this broad assumption that everyone knew and understood the extent of the changes ahead of the double week is coming from. I can only find 2 posts back to Oct 2022 that the developers have made regarding potential EOG changes:

• 2xp while eog status is up in the air.
  
• DCUO - Regarding the artifacts Cog of Mageddon and Tetrahedron of Urgrund
  

Mepps' post doesn't specify what the changes were likely to be (to be fair, we had to infer from that post that there were even changes happening), and Ranmaru stated they had no interest in a direct nerf (which the proposed changes most definitely are). Assuming these posts are the only recent information from official sources prior to the double week, it is strange to me that some people have no empathy for players who levelled this artifact in the most recent double, or who didn't convert it while they had the chance.

Some people in this thread don't want facts. They want to talk about the whispers in the HoL about eog nerfs. The forum posts that were deleted. I went to buy gear from the kahndaq vendor and he said he was selling colas in hell and oh,what about that eog nerf.

Have you even looked in the thread where they are discussing testing ? They are making the 5000 super charge grant the 3% health back cause of the change it would have on tanks 10000 supers get the 5% that’s new. the benefit is not changing for tanks. If a tank pops a 5000 super charge he’s getting 3% health back as like before and still the increase in dom resto etc

I believe one of the devs has said they are looking into the super charges that had their super charge cost raised due to eog.. he mentions bastion in particular

We agree that leveling an EOG in the 2x artifact week and then knowing this would feel bad but who would? The Artifact is a lot of years old - it was very popular from very early on, most who wanted it got it waaayyy before this 2x artifact week. A few new people might have, and I genuinely feel bad for them, but this uproar feels overdone and the implication that it was done like this on purpose (specifically about EOG) seems weird.. i bet they did it because a new DLC is coming or some new arts are or because of all the uproar that we hadn't had a 2x arti in a loonnggg time - I just don't believe they sat there rubbing their hands together about this going "ooohhh wonder how many suckers will level an EOG"

And this gossip was not "general" stuff like "the game is dying" that is just ppl trolling nonsense - It was very targeted, but you are right, gossip is gossip and some may have just ignored it, amongst all the noise.

Exactly - 2x Artifact week aside:


* Everyone is acting like only their's got nerfed and everyone else's is the same as before

* Elite content can 100% be completed without this artifact, just because people leant in on it so bad doesn't mean anything. Burn Check Feats, as some pointed out is not what I mean.

* SC regen is being looked at and i'm sure any other things adjusted will be looked at too

As an end game player and maining multiple roles I’m not upset for changing the eog artifact. Just a little concerned on why the changes are happening now and why so harshly. I’ve been playing dc since 2011 and I’m not sure why artifacts were even introduced seeing as though powers aren’t balanced or close to being balanced. With that being said, we completely ignore the fact that some powers operate at a higher level than others with these artifacts, which causes a bigger imbalance. With the recent changes to eog are we going forward going to be looking at a power balance or are we going to just randomly keep choosing dps meta items to nerf?

It's really hard for me to react to this because I feel like as a consumer and someone who wants to see dc do great its hard for me and a lot of others to trust the devs especially when leaks of nerfs were brought up and it was mentioned by mepps "that no change to eog is finalized and they may see adjustments in the future" posted on march 22nd. then boom eog is being changed not even two and a half weeks later.

I am here for balancing arts but not nerfing to the point of it not being useful especially when most spent money and dedicated a lot of time in farming exp for arts that have been around for years, specifically eog. biggest focus should be power balance then arts.

Also how can we test eog if the updated version isn't even on test?

Wow! There are so many complaining about this nerf coming after a 2x XP "bonus event" as though you are entitled to the bonus weeks! You obviously didn't play the game before there were bonus weeks. Guess how we had to level up characters early on? Grind.
Guess how we got skull points in weapon trees with limited skills? Grind.
Guess how we leveled up artifacts before bonus weeks? GRIND!

The bonus weeks are NOT something promised to the players, it's a BONUS added to HELP players. Ya know what, when Rage was released, and I could hit outrage back to back, my Rage character was a god. Guess how many times Rage got hit with nerfs? I lost count. Things get nerfed to try to balance, fix exploits, remove a meta, create options for play style, and other reasons. Stop complaining, and move on with your life.

I spent money on solar amp years ago. Guess where my solar amp is now... Inside another artifact. Wow, what a concept.

They got their money's worth on 2x and they leveled it up. Whats the problem?

If anyone spent real $$$ on the EoG and now feel cheated & taken advantage of, let this be a lesson learned. I feel since there was no official news from Daybreak / Dimensional Ink about this artifact being significantly diminished in usefulness so that players could avoid it, a certain level of trust in the Company has now been lost.

Be careful what you spend real $$$ on with this Company or any company.

I hate that there are some players here who feel badly taken advantage of, I truly understand how you feel. I still suffer from the sting of GU 116.

Those who are downplaying your frustration, your anger, have obviously never had something that mattered to them they purchased from a company suddenly diminished. Perhaps someday it will happen to them and maybe then they will understand how you are feeling right now.

This is an entertainment company, they want to entertain us in hopes that we will spend real $$$ on their product / service. I fear by not officially sending out a notice of intent before hand, trust in the product / service has been lost on some. I hope Daybreak / Dimensional Ink will address this from a PR point of view. The longer they wait the less impactful the PR will be. This is my free professional advice to the Company as someone who works for a top tier marketing firm to Fortune 500 / 100 companies.

To those upset around the lack of transparency regarding the changes, just cancel your sub if you have one and stop spending money on the game. It's easier then trying to argue with the career posters on the forum.
