New booster bundle remix concerns

I would like to say that the chance of a premium reward box is extremely concerning. I've spent $50 on 5 remix bundles so far and some other people have spent $150-$300 and still no premium boxes to show for it.

I was really hoping that this would be the time I could finally aquire a Cosmic material but I don't think I will be able to with these RNG chances. Sure you can purchase these boxes from other people but they are selling one box a pop for 2-3+billion. The price inflation in this game has become hard to understand.

I'm actually very disappointed with the difficulty of receiving certain items that we should be glad have returned. Some of them seem like they are impossible to get ahold of because of our greedy community in trade chat.

What can seriously be done about this because I refuse to spend more money on a 5% chance of me obtaining a Cosmic material?

I agree with you that the odds are terrible, I'd like to see fail safes introduced where there is a premium item assured after say every $80, I know this means people could farm premium items by spending thousands of dollars, if that's what they want to do, then that's up to them, really, but the system is too unrelenting and unfair to the players and is stacked entirely in favor of the house.

There's making maximum revenue then there's running a casino, This is a position I've always taken, with that being said the drop rate in capsules for the ultra rares is stated as less than 1%, which is even worse.

There's a better way to do this for sure and I hope you find your cosmic material Kanmaru :)

I don't know how hard it would be to implement, but I wonder how an incremental bad-luck limiter would impact sales, either for the better or worse. Each one you open makes the percentage go up, with a guaranteed "rare" after X amount of boxes. It'd then reset back to the original and go through again.

Not hard at all, it's already existed in game with a purple loot luck limiter that used to guarantee a purple gear drop after about 13 or so fails when RNG gear was BiS.

Whether or not it impacts sales, well not the players problem lol, as harsh as that sounds I'm not sure why any of us should be looking out for Dimensional Inks interests over our own, exactly how much revenue they wish to collect would be up to them, but if they were to make the system better for their players this is something I'd implement even at risk of some possible lost sales, it may not even result in a sales loss at all, if there was some sort of guarantee it might even increase revenue when you get engagement from players who otherwise simply refuse to engage in the system at all knowing there's no guarantee of getting what they actually want from it.

Yeah, that's why I was curious about the impact. I don't know which would generate more...the few dropping tons of cash vs. the many dropping less cash per person, but if they'd make it up on volume. I'm sure there are some stonkbros with MBAs that have used the worst parts of psychological research to come up with a maximization scheme, but I'd much prefer if it were more people spending less per individual but more participating overall. More goodwill for the company (plus for the employees/devs), easier on the individuals (plus for us), and more overall revenue (plus for the suits pulling the strings).

A guarantee level for lootboxes I think would be in EG7/Daybreak's best interests cause it wouldn't burn the playerbase as much. It would improve morale and possibly get more to spend. If I knew that paying 100 dollars for at least one Premium box I'd do so in a heartbeat and I'd probably spend 300 overall. That's 300 dollars Dimensional Ink not getting from me right now. Other players would likewise also spend that much. Over the few whales vs overall playerbase.

We have Fate Tokens so why not Eclipse Tokens.

Every time you open any type of Resurgeance Capsule you get Eclipse Tokens. Save up enough, go to the Eclipso vendor, and buy the rarest stuff previously released.

How many Eclipse Tokens do you get? The worse the drops the more you get. The rarer the drops the less you get.

I have purchased 40 so far and havent received the premium. based off probability alone, I think the boxes are weighted and not the 1:10 chance they seem to be up front.

Yeah the odds are very terrible I’m pretty sure I spent over $200 + to get one premium and I still want like 2-3 more items from the premiums box that I mostly likely cannot obtain because it’s too much money spent on a not that active game sadly. Wish the percentage chance was easier or atleast be 500 market place cash and not 1000.

Time capsules and booster bundles… I’d actually buy this stuff without the unmitigated RNG attached to it. Why would I pay for a ridiculously low chance of receiving something that never increases? It feels like being mugged, except I gave the mugger permission.

Do you think we could get them to make this work on Booster Bundles :p

Imagine being a member for 10 years, spend 300+ on this bundle and not get the premium stuff just for a second imagine that.

Devs should but a limiter on this tbh 100 Dollars is already way to much , they should send a gift of premium box if you have wasted that much money. Or like every 100 Dollar purchase you get guaranteed box then ppl can buy how many they want and sell.

A bad luck limiter could actually increase sales for them. I know that I personally won't spend a dime on these BBs because of the terrible RNG. But I'd gladly drop a fair bit if I knew that after X amount I would get something good.

Lol, while reading this I totally saw "BBs" as "Bad Boys" in my head. *Slaps hand on Booster Bundle* "I'd totally spend a dime on one of these Bad Boys"

All Time Capsules and Booster Bundles do is highlight how bad the Marketplace is, in terms of cosmetics. I wouldn't care as much about how bad the odds were for the TCs or BBs if there was a decent Marketplace to compliment them. I will buy a BB with Loyalty Points, but spending real world money on RNG is for whales and suckers. As The Multiverse said in his video, buy the BB for the items you are guaranteed and if you get the Premium box.... bonus. However, I know people are buying them for the Premium box and I honestly feel sorry for those people and hope they don't spend outside their means trying to catch the unicorn. I may never get all the bestest items, but I work with what I have and I've found out that you don't need a Shaded Comic or a Cosmic Material to create a cool look for your character.

After doing math I have officially come to the conclusion that this is unacceptable and needs to be addressed. From many outlets and word of in game community, 2 billion is equivalent to $70 USD. Regardless of the drop rate of the premium reward boxes, a $60 increase over the standard MSRP is absolutely unacceptable.

This is what I mean. Why are the devs not doing anything about this economy? I'm not saying it's value isn't justified but because of inflation the base trade prices for these boxes are sickening.

How did we go from 20mill for cosmic material to 2bill-20bill? If there is one thing that might make me actually consider throwing in the towel it's the lack of keeping the economy in check and letting greedy players run everything.

Why is it okay that the Xbox server economy is 20x less expensive than PlayStation or PC with the same items? This cannot continue anymore.

I want this addressed and I'm sorry if I look like I'm ranting but this blows my mind. We need a currency or economic revamp with live moderation and monetization period.
