Extended Downtime sounds like there is a massive update to the servers. I remember back when (long time ago) that any time there was an extended downtime such as this usually meant updating software in the servers. Most times it was uploading more robust Anti-Cheat programs and then usually testing them. Many hours we dealt with and eventually put into Anti-Cheat programs and they had to be tested, retested and installed into the servers then tested again. We could only hope that is the case as I am sure most of us would be accepting of this. Or possibly maybe upgrading the servers in all to better systems. Hey Mepps... Keep us informed and.... well.... Hope you get it done in less than 24 hours... Since its going to be a long day for you guys but it will also be a long day for all of us as well.... I'd provide lunch, but you all are so far away it would be cold by the time you got it...

Just as a reminder, this downtime starts tonight at 12AM PT (-7 GMT). I saw there were a few more questions. This downtime does not impact DCUO directly - it's not fixing anything or changing anything. For over a year, we have been converting our "platform" systems to more modern software and hardware. This is a big and ideally the last of the big downtimes related to this initiative. It doesn't have anything to do with bug fixes or client crashes on PS4 or EG7 or DCUO or puppies or anything else you might want conjure. It's *SO* boring. But, hey, gifts.
Thank you for the heads up and the gift, hopefully changing ur hardware and/or software goes well, i've been in both sides, when it goes smooth, and when all hell breaks loose (because it's never the middleground) best of lucks. With this new hardware and software for your game servers, does this mean the daily server re-starts/maintenance will no longer be required? Just curious to see if the re-starts were due to the age of the hardware or if they were done for a completely different reason.
Daily restarts have been a thing since the beginning. I remember getting booted off by them back when I played on my PS3. Not about puppies?! Now I’m pissed! I hope you miss the deadline now! : ) (I want those 150 source marks!)
The Rewards are great, but could 10-25 Wayne Casinos tokens be included to account for the day of daily runs of content we would miss plus the delay of the additional raid combine with wouldn't our membership time still be counting down?
