Hey there everyone! I'm looking for some sort of wall that will reach the ceiling of the Gothic Base near the entry way. As you can see in the attached image the Stone Wall item isn't high enough to reach the ceiling at all. Is there a wall type item that can do this? https://i.imgur.com/VZQc2BV.jpg On a related note the collision boxes in the Gothic base suck compare to other bases. In most of my other bases I'm able to put stuff flush against the wall and even clip them inside slightly, which makes for a great seamless area, but you can't do that with the Gothic base due to the way the collision/bounding boxes are set up around the edges of the walls and the pillars. This is incredibly frustrating and yet the base itself looks nice. Similar issue with the ceilings in the Cave base where it's all rocky. Can't put anything on them, not even things like stalactites. And the trim on the walls in the Atlantean base also interfere with putting some things near the ceiling or floor....sigh. Anyway any help with the wall would be appreciated.
Dark Stone Wall is taller but doesn't quite touch the ceiling. I think the Olympian Freestanding Wall, Olympian Archway (Wide) and Palatial Archway (Wide) are taller than the regular Stone Wall. Kahndaqi Statue (Small) is pretty tall. There's a few columns that reach from floor to ceiling as well.
Hmm haven't seen the palatial archway and i'll check out the Olympian wall assuming i have the cash. I'd need a lot of columns to fill in that space if I can find one of the right height. :/ Yeah I was thinking that but I have not come up with anything that would blend/merge the gap there.
Not yet but I thought it was about the same height as the stone wall. I'll give it a look and edit this post with my findings
Ok well that took longer than I expected as I can't afford the wall on live currently for what the one I saw for sale was going for. SO I went to test and bought some episode boxes and here's a comparison between the stone wall and the library wall. The Library wall is MUCH larger....but I'll need to block the books off of one side with another wall if possible for my idea to work. https://i.imgur.com/UOaOMOu.jpg
Just in case anyone's interested a quicky comparison of the library wall vs the dark wall, which is far taller than I thought it was. also the arkham wall is just off to the side. https://i.imgur.com/vBmIsZm.jpg Thank you, everyone for the suggestions.
Oh and I completely left out the bookcases from JLD are floor to ceiling, there's a regular and wide version.
Bulidng a Mansion Wall/Entrance. Ended up stacking a few walls in front of each other and a few pillars to try and boost the look. Little graveyard in front with some spooOoooky trees and fog. Worked out ok, though no windows makes it look a bit weird. Wish I could get the fog a bit thicker. May try layering a few of them to see if that helps. Here's a screenshot of the front area. https://i.imgur.com/mr3EfMc.jpg https://i.imgur.com/hDDJ41v.jpg
I have tried all the walls I could find in game, i have not found a single one that touches the ceiling. (Pet peeve of mine). i have spent countless billions on decor, still i am not happy with the results. i find it odd that they made the height so different... as if made by a completely different team. It makes me sad lol but, hey, if you do find one, let me know!!!
The whole shape of various BASE items really confuses me as far as what the heck the design team was thinking. Nothing fits across the hallway for doors or drapes. None of the "walls" touch the ceilings in the various bases, the clipping/bounding boxes on various parts of the bases are different from each other (gothic base is really bad with this). It just boggles my mind how half this stuff doesn't fit well inside a base at all. Why aren't we supplied with walls and half sized walls so that things can be matched up easier?
