Flouncing about with their pinkies in the air, gasping foppishly at the idea of sharing their rareified air with the exhalations of lowly beasts on consoles as they prance about in the echo chamber of the forums, far removed from the world, and insist on the inferiority of a playerbase whose priorities don't include a 2000 dollar base investment and continuous, obsessive upgrades for a video game system.

It doesn't matter if the PS3 is outdated, the decision to keep it around is monetary. I said it before, so did everyone else who has been paying attention since "literally forever". It's ALWAYS going to be a monetary decision - if any microtransaction can be had for the price of an infrastructure that already exists, then they're not going to change that infrastructure.

The fact that it's a free-to-play, free-to-download game means that 6 million people's younger siblings now have access to the game, and that's just from the most recent holiday season's worth of console sales and the assumption that hand-me-downs are still a thing.

Even if the P3 isn't the top console-end microtransaction or subscription sale driver now, it's going to be a factor until the wheels fall off - of the game. I'm pretty sure the P3 is going to outlive DCUO, because you can still play other things on the P3 and meanwhile, DCUO is still circling the drain.

Sure, it's not sunk yet, but the continuous "toss the p3" thing gets old - because even if it makes some vague sense from the standpoint of hardware progression, it's been demonstrated, consistently, that it will never happen.

The developers always say "no". It's the conversational equivalent of "I want Blue Lanterns", "I hate feats", and the endless "Forum regular complains about Raid Group underperformance for the 9,000,000th time" (you know who you are).

It's also been consistently demonstrated that when the Developers listen to the playerbase and finally give in to their self-destructive demands, something always ends up permanently broken as a result.

That was verified well over a year ago when they started "balancing" things and made the announcement that they were just going to leave the broken things broken until they "balanced" it. Between the nebulous and relatively lackluster reception of Stats Matter, PVP being utterly dead, no end date announcement on any of the other system improvements, and 5-1-1-1 becoming the officially endorsed Raid mantra... well.

So you might wanna think twice before you demand something "vital" because every time this has happened in the past? The game got worse.

Uh, literally ALL of those things you claimed came to PC after the merge, with the exception of inflated broker prices, WERE ALREADY ON THE PC SERVERS BEFORE THE MERGE lol.

Scamming - Was literally ALWAYS a huge problem on PC.

Low quality players - This I can't help but laugh at. You do realize that a lot of PC players actually had a PS account too right lol. PC players have all literally ALWAYS been as "low quality" as PS players because, get this, they are ALL literally the same players lol.

Let's not forget that most PVP cheaters came from PC players lol. All those speed hackers and macro users and the like. Yea, PC players are definitely a better quality of players speed hacking and macroing their way to victory right lol?

It was as vile and hateful and racist as a lot of the chat I see on PS side because, surprise, the same type of players who play on the PS are exactly like those players who play on PC. I know. News flash. I don't actually PVP much. Haven't seriously pvp'd in about 2 to 3 years. But the macroers and speed hackers were easy to spot. And of course they were most prominent on PC servers. Heck, it's been one of the biggest complaints in PVP on the PC side for at least the 5 years I've been playing lol.

If you don't even pvp how ok earth do you believe we should expect you to be able to draw a qualified conclusion between a good fighter and a cheater when you don't even play it.

When did I say I had a complete lack of experience in PVP? I didn't say that. I have every single PVP feat in the game thank you. I said I haven't seriously PVP'd in like 2 to 3 years. And that's mainly because of how broken PVP has been. I've seen PVP fights from those on PC server. I've read the complaints from those who played on the PC server for years. Spotting the macroers and speed hackers was an elementary task. Any 6 year old could spot them even lol. It ain't hard and it certainly ain't rocket science.
