Sometimes the launcher tries to connect to the wrong server - if it does that it won't find your characters. When the game comes back up, check on the launcher to make sure its connecting to the same server you used before. That might be the issue.
i had the same problem they asked for all and any emails related to it and names of characters to the best of your knowledge and they helped me and it had been years without playing they were great and solved it all got all my characters back
I agree with Drathmor. We aren't owed anything just because it is a long maintenance. So yes, I will happily clap like a seal for the gifts.
To those complaining about the gift... There are other games that will gladly except you and give you nothing. If the maintenance was planned for a dlc then you would not be complaining at all. Have a little respect. Sure it may not be much compared what the limit on your credit card can buy, but at least you walk away with more exp than you would have gotten in the 6 hours playing, a few source marks and 100 replays to boost your alts/make money/run content more. Y'all toxic. Get help

Daybreak said everything is back up, just to watch for the game servers separately to be brought back up. So, daybreak is done and ready.
seen 4 hour downtime seemed to change to 6 hours been 6 hours already any updates on when servers will be back up ??????
