Eye of Gemini - All you want to know

Im starting this thread to spread some general information known or less known across the broad community.

To keep it simple, lets talk about Rank 200 only.

To kick things off, the commonly known info (Veterans may skip this part)...

    ...for Dps/Battle Troll:
    • The Artifact Eye of Gemini is usually being called "EoG".
    • The EoG is most effectively used with dot supercharges by yourself, when you can't rely on the group joining the circle to build up the burst damage.
    • The EoG is most effectively used with 25% Supercharges when you can rely on at least 2 other players joining the circle - even if the supercharge itself doesnt deal damage.
    • The EoG should only be used as a main artifact (opposed to tac swap) in combination of a Supercharge that costs 5000 or less and a supercharge regenerating support role (this can be achieved by a Healer or Tank using EoG and standing next to you).
    • When using EoG as a group, Dot Abilities that last too long shouldnt be casted within the timeframe of the damage storage.
    ...for Healer/Tank
    • The EoG should always be used in combination of a 25% supercharge as a support role - otherwise its benefits are not superior opposed to other artifacts (unless you tac swap it before using a 5000 or 10000 Supercharge as heal).
    • Scrap of the Soulcloak or "scrap" is increasing supercharge gains from support EoG. The reduced Supercharge cooldown also comes in handy as youre able to use 2 25% supercharges infinitely and back to back.
Those are old news for most players that ever got in touch with this artifact.
So its time for the intresting stuff that are frequently misunderstood or simply not known as broadly...
    ...for Dps/Battle Troll
    • Orbital strike damage doesn't count towards the EoG burst damage build up.
    • Ally and Pet Damage does count towards EoG burst damage build up, even if it isnt in the circle and even if it isnt yours but the caster is standing inside your EoG.
    • The effect of Rank 200 does not apply 5% buff stats to anyone within the circle, but exclusively to yourself and other EoG users that have the artifact at Rank 200. However, you gain the buff from other players' EoG even if theirs isn't rank 200 but yours is. Note that the green and orange circles grant different buff stats.
    • Scrap of the Soulcloak or "scrap" is increasing supercharge gains from support EoG, making it viable as main artifact in a combination with a good supercherge spam Healer/ Tank.
    • Dps EoG circles dont move with the player (opposed to support EoG).
    • EoG damage stacks with each other. If 4 players use EoG the person that activated it last benefits most and if all activated the EoG within the timeframe of the damage storage, the 4th palyer in the order of activation gains 60% bonus damage (20% per EoG used before).
    ...for Healer/Tank
    • The EoG circle doesnt move but the effect is working like an Aura, so the green circle is misleading and only indicates a support EoG being active - thats why you also dont have to stand inside your own green circle to restore supercharge for yourself while using it.
    • Multiple support EoG circles do not stack. Its overlapping tho, so if the effect of the first runs out while the second is still active, the second will still give you the rest of its supercharge until it ends.
    Final conclusion:
Eye of Gemini is best used as a group and even performs well without one (or players not playing as a group). The damage gains from using it as a group are massive.
Its important to keep in mind that stored damage is AoE based so in a boss fight with adds nearby, this will not result into the best Boss damage, unless said adds are not respawning infinitely. On the other hand, in a boss fight with multiple bosses that can be equally damaged, this will result in a major advantage.
Make sure to get yourself a heal that uses EoG too and adapt your loadout according to their ability to restore Supercharge and then rather stick to them, instead of their green circle.
At last, a question for the devs: Is it intended that the Support EoG is actually moving with the caster like an invisible aura? That way, its not very helpful for Tanks to run this as group support, unless the group is able to go melee.

you missed one important detail....... eye of gemini is generally best for aoe builds but not good for single target builds (also kick that mental dps pls)

now now, no need to be rude, just because we're viable WITHOUT "magic supercharge spam generator" build...

i wasnt exactly rude, only certain people like strich knows what im talking about ^^

It's sad that needs to be said. The number of high end prec DPS who insist on running it in ST fights that have infinitely respawning adds that shouldn't be damaged is depressing.. Watching some players nerf their ST performance to cheese an unwanted AoE split hurts inside.
