    Purple Healing Ray

Smithed by Io, wielded by Epione, and improved by Carrisa, this standard Amazonian medical tool has been shared with you by special dispensation.

    Breakthrough Abilities

    Rank 80:
    Purple Light
    • Healing charges your Purple Healing Ray up to 5 times your total Restoration with Purple Light. Once charged, your next [Priority Heal] or [Group Heal] gain new benefits and expends all Purple Light.
    Epione's Grace [Priority Heal]
    • You and your heal target gain a shield equal to 2 times your Restoration, which absorbs 10% of incoming damage for 8 seconds.
    Clarissa's Revitalization [Group Heal]
    • Places a heal over time on you and your allies for 8 seconds.
    Rank 120:
    • Activating Epione's Grace or Clarissa's Revitalization resets cooldown of [Priority Heal] and [Group Heal] and restores 20% power.
    Rank 160:
    Epione's Grace [Priority Heal]
    • Absorbs 20% of incoming damage for 8 seconds.
    Clarissa's Revitalization [Group Heal]
    • Increase heal over time value by 25%
    Rank 200:
    • Healing charges your Purple Healing Ray up to 4 times your total Restoration with Purple Light.
    Recommendations

Not known for its clever name, but instead for its incredible healing capacity. This artifact creates small decisive moments when you either choose to place healing over time on yourself and your party members OR 20% damage mitigation on yourself and the player with lowest health.

    Recommended Artifact Pairings:
    • Orb of Arion
    • Page of Destiny
    • Transformation Card
    • Strategist Card

    Lernaea's Amulet

A whale song only the mad can hear, The Call of Dagon lures most to a watery grave. But if you can withstand the crushing depths, sea-goddess Lernaea's amulet is yours.

    Breakthrough Abilities
    Rank 80:
    Lernaea's Price
    • When you use a superpower, take its powercost in damage and gain a stack of Offering, increasing your might by 2% per stack up to 5 stacks. Each additional stack increases the damage you take per cast. Casting a [Finisher] resets your Offering stacks and heals you for 50% of the damage it deals.
    Rank 120:
    • Casting a [Finisher] resets your Offering stacks and heals you for 100% of the damage it deals.
    Rank 160:
    • Offering max stack count increased to 10.
    Rank 200:
    • Each stack of Offering increases might by 3%.
    Recommendations

This artifact is all about "Risk vs Reward" as you take increasing amounts of damage from continued casting of superpowers. Consider your ability to survive enemy attacks and be sure to heal yourself up by using a [Finisher]. Be kind to your healers and make the most of living on the edge!

    Recommended Artifact Pairings:
    • Transformation Card
    • La-Mort Card

    Lasso of Truth

Forged by Hephaestus and empowered by Hestia, the lasso can neither be broken nor resisted when one is compelled to tell the truth.

    Breakthrough Abilities

    Rank 80:
    Inescapable Truth
    • Mesmerizing Lasso iconic ability no longer pulls target towards you, instead tethers and hard taunts (Tank Role) your target to you.
    • Tethered non-boss target will be stunned and dragged towards you for 5 seconds. Additionally, Lasso of Truth will constantly seek out up to 2 additional non-boss targets and drag them towards your tethered target.
    • Stun duration increased to 5 seconds on primary target.
    Rank 120:
    • While tethered to an enemy, heal for 0.5% of all damage it receives.
    Rank 160:
    • Lasso of Truth will constantly seek out up to 7 additional non-boss targets and drag them towards your tethered target.
    Rank 200:
    • While tethered to an enemy, heal for 1% of all damage it receives.
    Recommendations:

This artifact is truly "wonderful" for controlling the battle field as either a Controller or a Tank. Tanks have the added benefit of Inescapable Truth taunting affected targets.

    Recommended Artifact Pairings:
    • Mystic Symbol of the Seven
    • Everyman Prototype
    Thank you!

    1. I'd be curious to know, using generic numbers, the amount of heal over time the Healing artifact will give. Example: 40,000 resto, when activating Clarissa's, you get a heal over time (on 4 or 8 allies?) of a value of #? per tick?

    2. How strong of a taunt is the 'pulls enemies towards your target'? Meaning, does it taunt the additional targets as a standard taunt, or in the value of a single target taunt?

So if I'm reading this right. At rank 200 you would have 10 stacks of Offering, with might up by 3% for each stack. So 30% more might at rank 200. What about if you have a load out that doesn't use a finisher? Would you (with sufficient healing in a group) be able to maintain 30% might damage bonus?
  8. Batuba Developer

You could potentially stop attacking for the duration of the buff and wait for it to fall off before attacking again. A healer will not be able to keep you up at max stacks as each ability will probably take around 70-80% of your HP so using a finisher will likely be necessary.

    Rank 80:
    Purple Light
Healing charges your Purple Healing Ray up to 5 times your total Restoration with Purple Light.

    Rank 200:
Healing charges your Purple Healing Ray up to 4 times your total Restoration with Purple Light.
    Am I missing something here?

    1) HoT will affect your entire party. You'll need to test value to get more insight as to the heal amount.
    2) Pull on adds will likely work as Hard Taunts (on the same level as Mesmerizing Lasso's hard taunt)

What about 2 competent heals in a group?

Or 2 competent heals with rank 200 artefacts?
  13. Mepps Sr. Community Manager

You can try this and see how it works for you. The intent is for you to manage yourself by using a finisher.

You want your ray to get charged up as fast as possible, so having to charge it only to 4x is faster than to 5x.
  15. Stephen Nix Well-Known Player

Since the lasso tethers the boss or adds to you, is that permanent until they die? Or you eventually have to re-taunt?

So hypothetically, what about maxing stacks and then sitting in Jackhammer until you have to move or get knocked out of it? You won't be casting any new moves, but you'll still have the ability to sit there and do damage while not casting any new moves. It is a hypothetical that won't occur too often, but on a boss that is melee-able that is kept in place, someone could just sit there and Jackhammer until their power eventually runs out. What countermeasures will there be for this?

Also, you say it will probably take 70-80% of your health at 10 stacks. Is this across the board, or is it dependent on whether you use low power cost moves as you build stacks, high power costs on the way, a mix of both, or is it only dependent on the power cost of the move you hit at max stacks?

Im someone who likes new visual effects.
Now i see purple healing lets out a purple glow

Do the other two bring anything new visuals to the table?

So I'm not too familiar with healing role but these artifacts sound 'meh' at best. The lasso artifact execution is also 'meh'. A lot more could have been done with it. They also missed an opportunity to use Amazonium Deflection for an artifact. Using rage I can see using Lernaea's Amulet and La Mort .
  19. Batuba Developer

Each stack will make you take exponentially more damage which uses the base power cost of the ability you just cast. Also, should you jackhammer at 10 stacks, you'll basically be digging a grave :)
