The Forsaken Order (Hero) PS4/PC League

The Forsaken Order is an active CASUAL Hero PS4/PC league (actually community) that emphasizes helping league mates and asking in league before PUGging content. While we do run elite content from time to time, we are more focused on having fun in the game and socializing with each other.

Since our creation on August 4th, 2016 we have held true to our core concept and way of life. We have changed very little over the last 2.5+ years, however, we don't like to focus on the past. While the past shapes who you are, it doesn't do any good living in the old glory days and not focusing on tasks at hand or future possibilities. With that being said we are shaking some things up.

We have waited 3 months for our old post to get buried to page 3 so we didn't false advertise. It's always been our pet peeve when people don't tell the truth, which is why we are always giving our monthly stats regardless if it is positive or negative about us. The reason new forum post is that we no longer are doing a Villain league. Being split between two sides and not being able to run content or communicate (outside a custom channel) takes away the experience for our members. We decided we didn't want to recruit / advertise for a mostly dead league as it wastes everyone's time. To see our Hero activity and any information on us please visit http://theforsakenorder.com

Rankings have never meant anything to us, we have officers, regular members, alts, and new folk we are vetting. Everyone from the person who sits at the top to new folk have the same input and say. Officers are only there to keep out drama and keep things running smoothly. Back to the old days, we recently flattened our officer ranks from Founding Officers and Elected Officers to just officers. We took a step back and it made it look like us founders had an ego separating us or were better than elected and we don't want to portray that. Mael has never wanted to be alone but Daybreak, unfortunately, forces someone to set at the top. A lot of people like to think that there's a growth path to officer so we have tried different things to elevate people, we have finally settled on activity to rank. The more your in game the higher of three ranks you will be set at, re-evaluated monthly. To us it's a nice way of us saying, hey we see you on and appreciate you spending time with us.

We have typically maintained 8-10 people on at nights (except for Tuesdays) not sure why most of us break then. After new content we typically go up to close to 20 a night and then settle back down. Holidays people are usually with their family. We will always ask members to prioritize real life over game.

We accept anyone in the league that is over 18 (a few exceptions have been made), that does not have an obscene/offensive name. We do not discriminate on skill points, combat rating, skill set, die hard in the game every day or maybe only on once a week. We ask people to create an account http://theforsakenorder.com in order to join us. If your coming from outside the game then we require an app. If your coming from within the game, we highly suggest you create an account so that you have access to members only areas. We do contests and post everything we are going to do on the forums. We understand that a lot of people are hesitant about this so it's not mandatory (if you came from within game) but you will miss out on a lot of information and events we are doing. We are trying to post everything that isn't *for league members eyes only* in a public area so that you don't have to log in. With us trying to be transparent, we have only had 3 posts that won't be made public in our 2.5 years. The MOTD is very small, league management in the game is non-existent and we want to ensure no one can say they didn’t know something was going on at a certain time.

Before we get into why you should join TFO, we want to discuss why people don't usually stay. We pride ourselves on the fact that few people have left the league and quite a few that leave come back. Those that typically stay gone is because we are classified as a casual league. We run some elite stuff from time to time and we try to schedule feat runs but we firmly believe real life should always come before a video game. Most people in the league are endgame with CR but need other things. If we have a choice of spending 1-2 hours maybe getting a 1-star feat for a few people or spending 30 minutes getting a few people 2-5 stars in feats, we collectively will go the most growth route unless it was something planned in advance. We also have a zero tolerance for non-kid friendly text in league/alliance chats. The voice we try to curtail, but it’s easier to control than text. A lot of members have kids that sit beside them when playing and we try to shield them from reading things. I’ve carried this rule after a certain word and deflection of what it was caused a parent-teacher conference a few years ago. Some low levels also feel like they are getting left behind because we typically don’t have enough people interested in running raids at the low tiers, but we usually have plenty to get people through the duos and alerts. The other type of people that don’t last is scoreboard chasers. We help people grow in the league to better themselves as well as us. We don’t care if someone is the lowest DPS as long as they tried their best. Not everyone has the same skill set when playing games and we try to work with people who need help.

We are a social league and expect anyone that joins us to run and socialize with the other members. We expect people to be in the same chat channel as the rest of the group. We do have some handicapped people in the league so we will never force a rule that you to need a headset, but we do prefer people have headsets with mics. On the PS systems, voice is a lot easy than texting. It’s okay to do your solo stuff, but we want everyone to ask if anyone wants to run the instance you're going to run to see if we can fill spots internally and then reach out to the alliance. We have an alliance with several other leagues that we use to fill roles or pick up. The leagues in our alliance are all like-minded and share the same rules and concepts that we do.

We basically run the show as a democracy. The new person in the league has just as much say as the head of the league. When accepted, you will be on a 7+ day trial period so that you can get to know us, we can get to know you and together make sure you're a good fit. The only reason we will ask someone to leave during their trial is if they are never sociable when they are on, exhibit an "I’m better than you" attitude towards other people, or cause any type of drama. We’ve never done this as people who fall into this usually leave on their own. You will also be removed if you have not logged in within 4 weeks of joining us. We have made exceptions with people in the military or are getting ready to go on an extended vacation / work trip. Once we both think that you're a good fit you move to a Templar rank. At this point, you will only get kicked out of the league for doing something bad or you have been inactive for 2 years. We may shorten this time length because if you haven't been on for 6-12 you most likely won't be again. You can also bring in as many alts as you have. Alts are bumped after 1 year of inactivity. If you come back then we will let you back in. We just don't want the "dead league" perception from having hundreds of inactive toons when people look at the location in the league of everyone.

We do a monthly comparison based on the last month or around the day that a toon joins the league to the previous month to get our activity total. This is calculated off of PvE CR + PvP CR + Skill points. Part of the growth tracking is to help show we are an active league, but it also allows us to recognize people who put in a lot of effort.

To find out our latest activity you can click on this link https://theforsakenorder.guildlaunch.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=39553811. The data is usually compiled on the 2nd or 4th from the snapshot that Mael takes at midnight on the 1st.

TFO is made up of if you can classify someone as something we have it. We have people from several countries and are extremely diverse. For the most part, we have had no trouble and when it starts it usually stops pretty quickly. With the amount of people that are at the end of each spectrum, we typically try to ignore any conversations outside of groups that could cause issues.

With the app process we don’t need your life story nor can we see any of the information you used to create the account with gamer launch. If you want us to communicate back to you outside of the game we will need that information on the app. We can't stress that the purpose is so that we can ensure that everyone has the tools and the ability to find out what is going on in the league without any excuses. If you never want to return to the site that's okay, but we have a lot of people who say they didn’t know about a meeting or contest details and this ensures that you have the access to all information. Communication is key and that is what we do.

We want to summarize that we are a great league for people that want to hang with friends and run content in a non-pressure system. We do ride people with low SP and try to get them to let us get their SP up, but we will never demand it. We are not looking for people to get us prestige (we have never had an issue in this area) or just use us for our buffs. If you join us we ask that you ask to run stuff. If you don't ask we don't know you want to do it. We would like to hope that we are at least in the top 10% of best leagues in the game, but if not, then just call us a honey badger case we don't care. We all have fun and enjoy running and talking with each other, which to us is what a league should be.

Next weekend I will post the stats for this month, which will need to be modified due to the 210 skip and our new yearly inactive purge. To see how we have been doing or to answer any question you have about who we are please look at the league information forum at http://theforsakenorder.com

We had our League Meeting so I can talk more about the changes we made. You can view our notes on changes here, but most likely you don't care about the changes and more about what we are now so you can check us out at http://theforsakenorder.com.

We have two sets of numbers for last month, the first is un-altered but contains 210 skips and our house cleaning of toons that have been inactive. We grew 2,230 points, lost overall 34 toons with 3 being mains. The altered number which is a tad bit lower growth, as we had 1 person that went form 168-232CR and gained 12 skill points was done naturally, but so that there was no question I went ahead and an estimated 38 points from him. We always want people to think were doing worse than we are so that reality of our great league is better than expectation. Altered results is growth of 926 with overall 10 toon gain, 1 being a main. The stats that are the same is that we had 93 active toons, 34 were mains, and 58 of the 93 are able to get into Atlantis content.

We are very excited for our future and with some of the changes we have made, we hope to elevate us higher.

We are still around. I had a laptop crash a few months ago and haven't recovered it as I've been too busy playing DCUO and work.

From my last update with January's numbers, we've netted 8 toons overall with 11 new mains. Active toons dropped down to 73 with 33 mains in June, mostly due to no new content for a while and the majority of our league hates, sorry that's an understatement Loaths this last DLC. It was fun the first few times but is just too annoying for most of us. We had 55 active toons at end game the end of June. We've been averaging 1,100 growth points a month.

Now that the boring stuff is over with, we brought in several mains the end of June from a league with a leader that has been AWOL and they have greatly boosted our moral and we are in heavy SP gaining mode. Hopefully there's a new DLC soon that will fully rally the troops back. We still have a few nights that there's a lag but typically you'll not see less than 6 of us on and lately we are averaging 11-15. We welcome anyone new to the game or veteran. We try to help everyone who walks in our doors and will let us help them.

We've got our 3 year anniversary coming up on 8/4 and trying to work on a nice blowout for the month and our annual party.

We've also changed our Alliance slightly with Planet Pluto as one of the base leagues that has helped us fill in slots for everything we need. Check us out on http://theforsakenorder.com or hit me up in game (PC/PS US ONLY) at Mael Magnus.

    heck us out at

or hit me up in game (PC/PS US ONLY) at Mael Magnus.

Normally I do a huge press release at our anniversaries and we celebrated our 3 year on August 4th, but due to how well we have been doing (and the fact I still don't have a PC) we have backed off on recruiting and going purely off of word of mouth.

We have been doing really well since my last thread bump we have brought quite a few people into the league, at the end of August we had 83 active toons (44 mains) of which 64 was end game. Not too bad considering we were 6 months past the last DLC. The last few months we have been grinding out tons of feats and were keeping about 8-12 on a night at least 3 days a week.

Since the new episode has came out we have pulled in several new mains and a lot of inactives have woken up. Last few week we have had 14+ on at our peak times. We would love to be able to have 2+ full league big boy version of the new raids going. Saying that though we have no restrictions on SP or CR. We typically only bring in people 18+ due to maturity levels, however, it is not a hard fast rule and due have some people in it.

One new change we also have made is that we have realigned our villain league initiative and move to The Scrubs.

    Hello Everyone,

We are still around and always looking for people to join our league. Due to the state of the API I haven't ran stats in a few months, however, we have been growing rabidly. We haven't openly recruited because of word of mouth and the absorption of two old leagues that recently returned to the game has kept us pretty busy. We did our annual purge of mains inactive > 2 years and alts > 1 year and were left with 308 toons. We have some slow nights but typically retain 10+ at night. We had 17 at peak tonight and 14 on currently.

Due to a lot of real life challenges we have taken a step back in out of game communications but will be ramping everything back up in the next few weeks. We still use the website http://www.theforsakenorder.com as our main entrance to the league, but with Facebook and mostly Discord we have let that go. The whole purpose of the site was so we could post events / polls / etc... Discord has made it more convenient and over the years we have most people just doesn't want to be informed. We ask that you do join us that you also join one of the three outside correspondence so you can stay on top of events and happenings that don't fit in the tiny MOTD window.

    Hey everyone,

I finally was able to build something to bypass the broken API that wouldn't take me hours to do our stats, but can't do much this month other than saying we had 63 active mains in March. No clue on alts but should be an additional 70+ toons. We have picked up quite a few more returning players that haven't played since before the Stats Matters changes. We are still averaging between 12-18 people on a night, which has been unexpected since we are three months out of a new DLC.

We welcome anyone at any level and any stage. We do still have the 18 and over rule just to try to reduce any drama but we do make exceptions if we fell the person is of a mature statue.

We have also made one huge change to how we are doing things. The guild site that we put our website on hasn't been upgraded since about 3 months after we went with them. We have moved (technically are moving as we still have the loadouts to move over) from the website to using mostly Discord. It is just easier to house everything there and searching for older articles / specific data is so much simpler.

We have broken security down to
    New Folk:
    • Can ask for an invite to league
    • View our loadouts, tips, strategies or
    • Request access to our Friends of TFO if they are not ready to join us in game.
    Friends:
    • Ability to see some extra forums and can post
    • We have areas such as Needs, etc...
    • We typically have enough people on that we do most things as groups

    Howdy,

I went to check out your website, and just wanted to let you know that when selecting the League Roster link it does one of two things at random: Either it sends you to an Advertisement Website for varying products with no actual League Roster, or it opens up a page claiming that the Adobe Flash Player is out of date and the download URL it links has nothing to do with Adobe's normal download site what so ever... The URL wants you to download a Setup.exe file which of course I did not download, as it is far too suspicious... This is when using Microsoft Edge browser... And according to Adobe's official website, as long as Windows 10 is up to date, so will the Browser and it's built in Adobe Flash Player, which tested fine on Adobe's official website flash test animation...

I selected it repeatedly about a dozen times and one of those two things would occur each and every time... At no point does it take you to a page/site that shows the League Roster... You may want to look into that before players end up downloading something that could be possibly harmful to their systems from 3rd parties...

Beyond that, the site worked just fine...

Your League intrigues me, but I do have one question... Do you use only the In-Game Voice Communications system for both PC and PS4? Or do you also offer out-of-game Voice Communications, such as TeamSpeak/Mumble/Discord/Etc. ? And if you only use the In-Game system, how often do folks just chit chat via voice, beyond grouping up for content?

    Thanks,

    Hello,

Thanks. I may have inadvertently changed a link when coping to discord. I will look into it now. We only use in-game voice. Discord is used text only unless in game chat goes down. It’s the only way PS and PC players can communicate.

90 percent of is stay in league chat and talk about anything. Usually we only leave if we are trying to get a feat or need to communicate uninterrupted.
