Hence why I stated before, if you want on the game, change your DNS to point to a different server since they might be updated already

Do NOT use the DNS that is provided by your ISP basically

Yes, but if you're connected via wifi, this means completely changing your settings in the router, which will then impact how many other internet settings/configurations? Then have to be all changed back in a day or two. I'd prefer to wait until the domain names refresh than risk screwing up settings in my router simply because of being impatient.

You can change the DNS settings on your client also (ps4/laptop/tablet) when connected via WIFI

You don't have to make change on your router, and really shouldn't mess too much, it might speed things up

i still remember the hack that cost me the game for weeks . Still annoying though this game is my primary down time relaxant.

Not sure how to do this as it asks me to connect to wifi and offers me my router but I don't see any options as how to configure the DNS separately from the router.

Device you are using?

On the PS4 - I believe (at work now, so going by memory)....

Settings -> Network -> Set Up Internet Connection -> Wifi -> Custom

For those who don't know how to do this.
-Go to Settings-Network

-Choose which way you're connecting (wifi or LAN cable)

-Choose custom set up

-Choose auto for everything except DNS Settings

-Delete the DNS that's there and for primary put 8.8.8.8 and secondary out 8.8.8.8

Finish set up by testing connection.

I feel your pain. I'm on PS3. I had problems logging in during the morning yesterday. This morning I'm having problems again. Lol. Maybe we should "forget" to pay our sub next month!

BTW, those were instructions for the PS4.

Im a PC player with games in DCUO, Landmark and EQ 2. They are all experieincing a black screen with an Error Occurred" error. Is this a part of the issue as I cannot use any SOE games since yesterday?

No one can have a worst fortune than me. My wifes job asked her to go from New York to Boston for 2 weeks, but she doesn't want to leave me. So she asks them if I can come. They say sure. I bring along my PS4, and my days consist of DCUO and room service in a 5* hotel. By the time she gets in, I have had a full day of DC. Now this happens. Just great. Anyhoo, Ive tried the DNS trick, and its not working. Again Im at a hotel. Should it matter ?

The dns change worked for me . Thanks. Dns flush on my laptop failed to get me into the forums though . doing that on the PS4 .Oh well,half a loaf

Altough i already tryed to repair the game assets , it pops the same message and can't repair files .

lol you don't have to work and you get to stay in a 5 star hotel, yeah poor you you have such bad luck.

Have you tried using both DNS ips? (Google & OpenDNS)

Did your PS4 ever work from the Hotel (play online)? (hotel can be blocking you or throttling speed)

Yes, Ive been playing DCUO at the hotel for a week. They have the plug-and-play set-up. Just plug -in your HDMI cables and your on. Wifi is up. I couldnt get on starting Tuesday morning. Ive tried changing the DNS for primary and secondary to 8.8.8.8 but I still cant get in. Just wondering if I was doing something wrong.
