Diskkeeper

i have had pc optimizer installed, ive since uninstalled it. Yes im Running Log MeIn and diskeeper. Ive always had logme in on my computer and never had any issues at all. In fact i use to log in when i wasnt at home and get on EQ2 to check broker and play LON. I just reinstalled logmein last week on this machine. EQ2 was crashing prior to that. However diskeeper has been installed from the get go. Ive had pc pitstop optimizer 1.5 and 2.0 installed but have since uninstalled them..

I just uninstalled diskeeper.. i dont have time to tet it out though Ive got to head to work here shortly. Whats your theory?

well I run Avast! so im doing a Full thorough scan with it, as well as Trend Micros House Call.. I se SpyBot and SuperAntiSpyware. Both of which are installed. Will let ya know the results when i wake up.. Just got home from work.

Just did a Complete Wipe and Full Format of a new drive. Did a clean install of windows, all updates are downloaded. All Drivers are up to date and WHQL signed. Waiting on EQ2 to download updates. Will post on progress soon as i get to log into the game.

Tired of the hassels. I just want to play!!

I was getting the same error recently. I had just installed a new motherboard and new cpu(AMD 7750). I had done a clean install of vista, installed sp1, all updates and latest drivers for everything. I'd run eq2 for about a minute and I'd get that error. After all of the frustration, I went looking at new motherboards and new memory incase my current set was going bad to discover that my current cpu doesn't get along with some memory sets. So I put my old cpu(AMD FX-65) in and everything magically worked. I left EQ2 running all throughout the night on High Quality and it was still running when I woke up. So did you just try to run the game one day and everything stopped working or have you done an recent upgrade similar to mine?

I am getting a very similair problem everytime I log in around 20-25 mins later I get the crash message Eq2 has had to close etc.
I used play Eq2 no problem at all on this machine I have been away for about 6 months or so, stunned I am suddenly getting such problems.

I hope that you can work out what the problem is so I can fix and go the same route.

reinstalling eq2.. Crossing fingers.. I dont know what else to do.. Short or getting some tanerite and a high power rifle....

You are getting alot of kernel errors, I would normally say this is OS but your reinstalling Windows.
A few things to note, you did state you were running 2 seperate Antivirus programs? This is a HUGE nono, antivirus programs usually directgly modify pieces of the kernel, or extend it. More then on eof them is sort of like having 2 sumo's fighting of a sandwich. Pick one and stick with it.
When you reinstalled windows, did you install any other software first? Or just Windows, updates, drivers, eq2? Would be nice to rule those out. Also how are you reinstalling windows, standard XP cd or rescue cd or what?
I would also guess ram but I think you have already ruled that out. And am I correct in assuming you used to play on this system and havn't upgraded it? IE same ram sticks / cpu / vid card etc.
Stick with it hopefully this crash gets solved!

Im not running 2 antivirs programs. i only had one installed. I was trying an online virus scan as well. Yes i installed windows and all the updates. Mobo drivers, chipset, video card. I even took out my Audigy sound card just by chance to see if it was a conflict since creative labs is somewhat behind in updating their drivers. So far all Ive installed is Firefox and Trend Micro Internet Security Suit 2009. And my Nostro speed pad.

Yes this system us the same system Ive been playing eq2 on and many other games since i biult it in 2004. The only thing Ive upgraded is my graphics card. From a 6800 GT to a 7800 GS. However in my extreme frusturation last night, I uninstalled the video drivers, took out my 7800GS and put my 6800GT back in just to test the graphics card. and guess what.....BAM STILL CRASHING!!!!.. Im starting to feel this isnt an error on my end at all but coding error's on Sony's end. I never had any issues before up until TSO. Kunark played like a champ...

At this point we have had you try just about everything possible. Considering you have reinstalled both the operating system and the game, hardware failure seems like the only likely possibility. Graphics card certainly seems like a possibility considering the error message, but a bad hard drive leading to a corrupt Windows install sounds almost as likely.
You might want to consider having a professional look at the computer in person. If you have a friend that will let you borrow some computer parts to trade in and out then that could find the culprit as well.

well Ive rulled out the hard drive seeing that Ive installed eq2 on 4 different drives. Ive reinstalled windows on a brand new hard drive this go round. So its highly unlikly that the brand new WD teradrive i have or the brand new maxtor i have are both bad. Not excluding the 10k raptor and the other 250gb WD i already had.

Also note that I have tried 2 seperate graphics cards. a Nvidia 6800 GT and a Nvidia 7800 GS. So im doubting that both of these cards are bad considering they play WAR and AOC just fine. Not to mention they both played EQ2 just fine up until TSO. The only thing that has changed in the equation is EQ2. TSO is the only real new element.

also heres my power supply. it has 12v rails 470w so i doubt its a power issue either. Video card is on its on lead. nothing else shares it.
